Homemade cookies make an excellent gift all on their own, but these clever snack envelopes take cookie giving to a whole new level.

Pretty paper folded into festive, little wraps are an easy, and inexpensive way to dress up your freshly baked treats. Just in time for Memorial Day and Fourth of July, our bold stars and stripes add patriotic punch to our already irresistible chocolate chip cookies.

Though we'll be passing our cookie wrappers and blue chocolate chip cookies out at our 4th of July celebration, you can use this idea for any occasion. Simply change the paper design to coordinate with whatever holiday or occasion you're celebrating.

You can also go one step further with the customization of this idea by making your own sticker labels to attach. Whether it's a monogram, sweet thank you note or a date, the homemade label can add a personal touch, too.

Supplies

Lightweight paper
Ruler
Scissors
Stickers or seals

Directions

Step 1: Start by cutting your paper into a perfect square. 8”x 8” will fit most cookies, but you may want to go larger if making giant cookies or small if making minis.

Step 2: Carefully fold each corner inward to meet the center of the square, as shown, and once all corners are neatly aligned, give your edges a nice, hard crease.

Step 3: Place a single, completely cooled cookie in the center of the envelope.

Step 4: Fold and fasten the envelope closed with a festive sticker or seal.
