Ice box cakes are a summer must have and a great way to save time without having to stand around a hot oven. This strawberry ice box cake is made with ingredients you can easily find in your local grocery store and only takes a few minutes to assemble! Your guests will love the presentation and it tastes delicious too.
Approximately 30 chocolate wafer cookies
A container of strawberries
Duncan Hines Frosting Creations Strawberry Shortcake frosting
Whipped cream (You can use store-bought or make your own at home)
Start by placing your chocolate wafer cookies around the perimeter of a plate or cake dish and will the center with more cookies so the plate is completely covered.
Add a thick layer of whipped cream to the tops of the cookies followed by a thin layer of slice strawberries. On top of the strawberries, add a layer of Duncan Hines Frosting Creations Strawberry Shortcake followed by another layer of sliced strawberries.
Repeat these steps until you reach a desired height for your dessert.
Top with a dollop of whipped cream and a few fresh strawberries.
Refrigerate overnight (or for several hours) and serve!
