What do women really want for Valentine's Day? Of course you will always get the typical answers that women love chocolate and flowers, and trust me we appreciate those gifts in all forms, but we also want Valentine’s Day to be memorable.

A little thought and effort will go a long way with us when it comes to buying the perfect gift or planning a romantic evening. One year an old boyfriend of mine actually built a website that flashed “Happy Valentine’s Day” with red hearts, roses and balloons. It was such a unique and sweet gesture - and it is something that I have remembered forever.

Over the last few weeks I hit the streets of New York City to find out what women really want for Valentine’s Day. Most of the women I spoke with either wanted to take a holiday vacation with their girlfriends to get away from the cold or to have their Valentine plan something special and out of the ordinary.

Of course many of the married women were brutally honest and candid. All they really want is for their hubby to take a stab at cooking dinner and doing ALL of the dishes! A word to all the husbands, boyfriends and Valentines out there, take notes!

What do you want for Valentine’s Day? Is there a special memory you remember from an old Valentine?
