Nothing says holiday quite like pecans. There's something about these versatile nuts that gets us so nostalgic of Christmases past.
One great way to enjoy pecans, especially around this time of the year, is with a little extra sweetness and a nice dose of spice.

We've got just the right recipe, with a perfect a sugar and spice mixture that turns your pecans into the perfect party nibbles. You can also package them nicely and give as gifts for neighbors, teachers, and hostesses around the holidays.
Ingredients:
4 cups whole pecans
1 egg white
1/3 cup white sugar
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Whisk the egg white in a bowl until it becomes foamy. Add in your pecans and toss to coat.
In a separate bowl combine the sugars and spices. Once mixed, add to pecan egg mixture and toss again to coat evenly.
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, and spread the pecans in a single layer.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes, turning and stirring them after 10 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow the pecans to cool completely. Serve immediately, or store in air tight container until ready.
