Super Bowl Sunday is a time for gathering with your friends and family, watching the big game and most importantly eating some truly delicious food! Although we love eating some tasty dishes on Super Bowl Sunday it is very easy to wake up Monday morning feeling like a line backer and regretting some of those meal choices from the night before.

This year, turn your Super Bowl food menu into a more healthy spread, with these simple tricks for cutting down on calories and fat! Men's Health editor, Matt Bean shows us how to make some simple menu chances that really cut down on that Monday morning guilt. Wings

Buffalo wings are a Super Bowl food tradition. In fact, 5% of all buffalo wing consumption happens of Super Bowl Sunday. In keeping with tradition, we have a healthy way to whip up some tasty wings.

A typical 10-piece buffalo wing meal from Hooters holds about 1,000 calories! The wings are a fatty cut of meat, which is deep friend and then dipped in a blue cheese dressing.

For a healthier alternative, make your own wings and cut down on calories. This recipe is about and you can save about half the calories and $7 if you make these yourself!

Ingredients

Chicken wings
Salt
Pepper
Chili powder
Butter
Frank's Red Hot Sauce
Plain yogurt
Blue cheese crumbles

Directions

Sprinkle wings with salt, pepper and chill powder.

Then, roast them in oven at 450, until brown and crispy.

While those are cooking prepare a sauté pang with hot sauce and butter.

Serve alongside a yogurt and blue cheese crumble dipping sauce.

Sliders

A Ruby Tuesday order of four sliders will cost you about 1,300 calories, make these mini burgers for only 330 calories and $2 per serving! You really can't beat that!

Ingredients

Lean sirloin
Mayo chipotle
Pepper
Caramelized onions
Bacon
Sharp cheddar

Directions

If you are able to grill outside, then go for it! If not, simply use a grill pan to whip up these succulent sliders!

After grilling the burgers, top with mayo chipotle, pepper, caramelized onions, bacon and sharp cheddar

Nachos

A typical order of Baja Fresh nachos contains 110 grams of fat and more than 2,000 calories! Make this healthier option by following this simple recipe!

Ingredients

Chips
Cheese
Black beans
Sour cream
Lime-juice
Red onions
Jalapeño
Cilantro
Salsa

Note: Use any type of cheese. We love the idea of using pepper jack for an added spice!

Directions

Spread an even layer of chips on a baking sheet and place in the oven at 425 degrees.

Next, sprinkle on cheese and black beans.

Once cheese starts bubbling, remove from oven.

Add sour cream, lime-juice, red onion jalapeño, cilantro, and salsa.

Note: Contrary to popular belief, sour cream is not that bad for you.
