When you’re throwing a summer party, it’s always a good idea to have a quick dessert to throw together. This Peaches and Cream Trifle is so easy it will take no more than 10 minutes to have them ready for the party.
With the simple layering of peaches and whipped cream, it’s a refreshing and delicious dessert that will please everyone at the party. Even better is that they can made in advance so you can relax and enjoy your company!
2 cans Sliced Peaches (in light syrup), drained on their juices
4 tablespoons Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
2 cups Whipped Cream, or Cool-Whip
Mint, for Decoration
In a small bowl, stir together the drained, sliced peaches, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Let sit for 5 minutes so the peaches can soak up the sugar.
To assemble the trifles, place a scoop of whipped cream at the bottom of a trifle cup (any tall, skinny cup will do). Continue layering a few peaches and a scoop of whipped cream until you have filled up the cup. Top with one peach slice and a sprig of mint. Finish assembling the other cups until you have run out of peaches and whipped cream, about servings (depending on the size of your cups).
These are best assembled the day of serving. If you assemble them in advance, place the trifles in the refrigerator until serving. I would assemble them no longer than 24 hours in advance.
