To use the empty containers as vessels for flowers you can do either of 2 things. Place a small water filled glass inside to hold the flowers, or line the canister with plastic wrap or a plastic baggie and insert water soaked floral foam inside. Cut the flower stems to a few inches and stick them into the floral foam.
