Let your child create a sweet that's also an activity..we call these "sweet-tivities!" Sweet-tivities are a great way to keep little hands busy while creating a lasting memory of something fun and indulgent.
Here are a few "sweet-tivities" you can incorporate into your party:
Ice Cream Sundae Bar
Cover your party table with all the items kids needs to make a delicious ice cream sundae.
Ice Cream Sundae Bar Ingredients:
Decorative bowls
Several flavors of ice cream
Rainbow sprinkles
Chocolate sauce
M&M's
Whipped cream,
Cherries
Build a Silly Sugar Shack
Forget those fussy gingerbread houses, let your child build their very own Sugar Shack from fun items you can find at the grocery store. The crazier these turn out, the better. And, if your sticking to the "Royal" theme completely, call them Royal Castles!
Silly Sugar Shack Ingredients:
A tray of graham crackers for the house's walls and ceiling
Several tubs of frosting to hold the walls together
Colorful candies to decorate one-of-a-kind Silly Sugar Shacks or Royal Castles
Decorate Regal Cupcakes
Set up a cupcake decorating station and let the kids' imaginations run wild as they decorate their very own cupcakes.
Bake cupcakes and leave them unfrosted (or keep it simple and get some unfrosted store bought ones) for the kids to decorate.
If you do plan on baking them yourself, try this recipe for vanilla cupcakes.
Decorating Station Ingredients:
A bowl of purple frosting (your favorite vanilla frosting and a little food dye)
Gold foil chocolate coins
Yellow jellybeans
Gumdrops
Shiny nonpareils
Anything else you think would be fun and delicious for kids (coconut or slivered nuts)
