Your little Valentine will love making these Sweet Heart Brownie Balls, which of course, means this a great after school kitchen craft and snack that will keep everyone sweetly content until dinnertime.
Chocolate brownies with a dusting of sweet heart candies and powdered sugar make these brownie balls sweeter than your every day brownie, so make sure you have plenty of milk on hand to wash them down - after dinner, of course!
1/4 cup of pink Sweet Heart candies
1/4 cup of powdered sugar
1/4 cup of chocolate frosting (or to taste)
In a large mixing bowl, break the brownies into small pieces and add the chocolate frosting a little at a time until you have a moist combination of brownie and frosting – taking care not to over use the frosting as you want the balls to be moist enough to form into to balls but not too moist that they won’t form into balls.
Once the balls are formed, set them on a sheet of parchment paper while you prepare the dusting.
Place the candied hearts into a plastic zipper back and then smash them until they create a powder, and then pour the powder into a small bowl.
In another bowl, place the powered sugar, and then roll the balls into the powered sugar and then the sweet heart powder before topping with a single sweet heart and returning the sheet of parchment paper.
Place in the fridge for 1-2 hours to allow to set before serving.
