Don't keep your tailgate members go hungry or die of thirst. Here are our suggestions to keep everyone hydrated, full, and happy.
Drinks
Even if you don't know the difference between a Pooch Kick, a Power Sweep or a Punt, you can show your support and your love of the game with a variety of drinks.
The safest bet is to pack beverages that appeal to everyone's tastes. Beer is an obvious choice but by no means the only one.
Decent wine is available in single-serve bottles. Soda, juice or hot cider are good choices too, and it's essential to bring water - for cooking and to keep your guests well-hydrated, especially once the cheer starts flowing.
Pack a cooler and get all your food and drinks ready the night before. Before you go, look up the stadiums particular alcohol policy -- some dont allow open containers in plain sight. In this case, youll also need plenty of disposable Solo cups along with your regular utensils.
Food
If the game has a noon or earlier start time, bring food to make a delicious steak & egg breakfast.
If kickoff isnt until the late afternoon or evening, pack an impressive lunch spread. Big, juicy burgers and colossal sausage dogs always taste better just before a big game.
Prepare a dish that will make the competition take notice. Choose two MVP entrees like Wings and Burgers or whatever your guests will love. To keep from going off-sides, offer some tasty super sides like dips and mixed olives.
Prepare as much of your food in advance and treat your afternoon in E Lot as you would a camping trip: The more you plan beforehand, the more fun you can have in the wild.
