Tangerine Mint Julep

This is a fun twist on the traditional mint julep and makes enough for a crowd (serves 8)!

Note: Drink mixute should chill at least 2 hours before serving, but is best when mixture chills overnight.

Ingredients

  • 1 Quart freshly squeezed tangerine juice
  • The juice of six limes
  • 1 Cup of superfine sugar
  • 3/4 Cup fresh mint leaves chopped
  • 2 Cup(s) of club soda
  • 16 Oz of Bourbon
  • 8 sprigs of mint

Directions

  • Combine the tangerine juice, lime juice, sugar and chopped mint and stir until the sugar is combined.
  • Chill for at least two hours, but it's even better if you can chill overnight (the juice will become infused with the flavor of the mint).
  • Fill eight highball glasses with crushed ice.
  • Pour 2 oz. of Bourbon into each glass then fill almost to the top with juice mixture (shaken and strained). Top each with cup of club soda and garnish with the sprig of mint.
