This easy entree always makes us feel as if we're sitting beachside on some tropical island. Try it out for your next luau theme party or for dinner!
It doesn't require too much attention or prep, but is a really tasty and satisfying dish. We like to make our marinade and sauce using our Teriyaki sauce as a base, but you could certainly just use the Teriyaki sauce itself to make this dinner more quickly!
Ingredients:
4 Mahi Mahi filets
2 tablespoons of butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves of garlic, finely minced
3 tablespoons Teriyaki sauce
1 teaspoon of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of honey
Sesame seeds
Fresh parsley for garnish
Directions:
Melt 1 tablespoon of the butter in 1 tablespoon of the olive oil on low heat.
Once warm, add in your garlic and allow the butter and oil to infuse with the garlic -- until garlic is tender. Remove your pan from heat.
Stir in the Teriyaki, soy sauce, honey and sesame seeds. Once cooled, pour the entire mixture over your fish and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Next, heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a pan at medium heat. Add the fish and saute 4-5 minutes on each side, basting with marinade.
Once cooked, remove and plate. Garnish with fresh parsley.
