Light and refreshing, the mojito is a quintessential summer drink. The minty flavor also plays well off spicy barbeque food, making it a perfect pick for the grilling season.
Ingredients
2 wedges lime
1 3/4 ounces Bacardi rum
1 ounce Mojito syrup
4-6 mint leaves
splash of club soda
Directions
In a rocks glass flatten your lime wedges with a muddler. Then, add in the mint leaves and muddle again. If your leaves are small add an additional few - better one too many than one too few!
Fill the glass with ice.
Add the rum and mojito syrup.
Cover the top of the glass securely with a metal tin and share 2 to 3 times to mix thoroughly.
Remove the tin and top with a splash of club soda.
Finish with the addition of a straw.
