You may hear John Waters and think, popular director, producer, actor and American filmmaker. Or your mind may jump right to one of his more well-known works; whether that's his controversial 1972 Pink Flamingos or more mainstream, song filled Hairspray.
For us, all that career stuff comes second. If you've never seen Mr. Waters, take a look here. When we hear his name, especially now with the current mustache craze in full swing, the first thing we think of his is iconic 'stache.
Waters is one of the six men with facial duds that have inspired us to concoct a few mustache men inspired cocktails. This one, the Pink Flamingo, is a shout out to Waters' fame-making film.
With it's bright pink and green colors, the Pink Flamingo will make you feel as confident as Waters looks with his iconic thin mustache!
3 ounces white
juice from one lime
2 ounces grapefruit juice
splash of club soda
*you can omit the grapefruit juice and club soda by replacing with a grapefruit soda
In a highball glass, combine all ingredients over ice. Stir well and garnish with a lime wheel. We also added half wheel slices of lime to the drink for added color!
For the finishing touch, and added pizzazz, finish off your glass with a vinyl chalkboard mustache sticker by ArtofVinyl.
