The 2012 Oscars are in just a few days, but there is still time to put together a fabulous party on a budget. Celebrations expert Shawn Rabideau was recently featured on Fox News this week with some great Oscar worthy party ideas that you can throw together for this Sunday's red carpet.

Watch this clip from the Shawn's segment then scroll down for his full list of tips to host an Oscar party at your home:

Tip 1: Invitations

If you are going to throw an Oscar themed party, start with your invitations. In the clip, Shawn used FineStationary.com to create fun gold movie ticket invites or you could create movie passes that your guests can wear around their neck.

Tip 2: Roll out a red carpet

Find a fake red carpet or red tablecloth and place it near the entrance of your home. You can even hire people to play fake paparazzi!

Tip 3: Theme Menu

Research a list of the nominees and create some fun cocktails and appetizers for your guests.

The Artist - Shawn was inspired by the classic silent film and suggests serving champage and strawberries covered in chocolate and "candy caviar."

Moneyball - Find a baseball bowl and fill it with delicious treats. Shawn used some flavored popcorn from The Popcorn Factory. Serve the guys a beer with scotch and sliders.

The Descendants - This film is set in Hawaii why not have a luau party! Give everyone a lei and serve shrimp with a rum fruity cocktail.

The Help - Keep it southern themed and serve everyone's favorite fried chicken and cornbread.
