Sweet treats seem to be the star of any child's party and it doesn't have to be an elaborate display to get them excited. Throw this beautiful tie dye theme sweet table at your kids birthday party.
We kept the treats to a minimum with a few colorful selections and brought in our theme with a tie dye backdrop that matches our tie dye tablecloth on the seated table.
A framed sign gives us an extra whimsical touch with its play on words. Use this frame design to create little notecards next to each dessert with the name of the dessert and any allergens it may include inside. Use this hotsheet if you're unsure of the most common food allergies for kids - trust us, some of them are surprising!
We added fruit strips to our table but to keep them from looking like a 'rainbow' party we rolled them up to mimic the swirls of a tie dye design instead. This is a simple treat that is really more for decorative value than dessert value.
This party wouldn't be complete without tie dye cupcakes. You can have some on display or let the kids make their own designs during the party. If you can find tie dye cupcake liners, use those to add some more festiviness to the desserts.
Even though cupcakes are mostly eaten with your hands, we still recommend having utensils readily available for those extra messy few. But you don't expect us to suggest plain ole utensils, do you?! Create your own DIY neon utensils with our fun and easy tutorial.
Of course the primary party favor will be the t-shirts that the kids design, but we thought it would be nice to also send them on their way with a small 'paint bucket' full of colorful gumballs and customized with a "Thank You" sticker.
These looked fantastic on the dessert buffet and were easy to distribute as guests said goodbye.
Throughout the party we used three elements to keep the look cohesive.
1. Bright, bold colors in pink, aqua, orange, yellow, and green.
2. The same fabric in different areas of the party to visually connect the two spaces.
3. We also used printable paper designs in different ways to coordinate all the elements and unify the total look.
