Tips for Planning a Bachelorette Getaway

Contrary to popular belief, tough economic times are the perfect times to find amazing deals to bachelorette party spots.First, pick your place.
Hot (in more ways than one) spots like Las Vegas, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Los Angeles are ideal because they tend to allow for obtaining the best travel deals.

To save even more money (and cut your carbon footprint), if you're anywhere in proximity, drive instead of flying! Road trip, anyone?

TIP:
Consult kayak.com for the best possible roundups of cheap flights and/or rental cars.

Next, find a place to stay.
A hotel room for a few days won't break the bank (especially if you do your research and get a deal), but as an alternative, check out luxurylink.com or good old craigslist.com to find places to rent directly from owners.

Dont forget to negotiate!

Once you arrive at your destination:
Gather the guests together, sans bride-to-be, and have everyone contribute money to a "kitty." (By the way, this works in ALL bachelorette party settings, whether your group is staying local or going away).

What that means is everyone throws in a previously agreed-upon amount of money to take care of all group costs (drinks, dinners, etc.) related to the bachelorette party--hand it over to the most responsible member of the group to handle. This way, the bride-to-be doesn't see any haggling over bills!

TIP: Skip dinners out in favor of grabbing pizza or sandwiches in the hotel room. That saves gobs of money, all the better for hitting the town after the meal!

Finally, take a page from our playbook:
Let a big group of guys on their own bachelor party outing buy you never-ending pitchers of sugar-free mojitos. Light and refreshing, they still make the bride-to-be and her ladies in waiting stand out on the beach or at the pool!
