With the warm weather coming to visit extra early this year, and the school year coming to an end, senioritis is in full swing.

It won’t be long until the 2012 grads are preparing to toss their school books, ready their caps and gowns, and say goodbye to their home away from home and closest friends.

Make sure the class of 2012 goes out with a bang – by picking the best graduation song that will really leave a lasting impression.

Our Top 20 Graduation Songs for the Class of 2012

Jay Sean – 2012 - Our reasoning for this choice is in the title. With lyrics like “we gonna party like it’s 2012”, this would definitely be the choice if there was an anthem of the year.

The Bravery - Ours – Graduations are one of those inevitable tear jerkers – for both students and parents. If an inspirational choice is what you’re after, your answer is the Bravery. Chorus : “ This time is ours/If I could hold this moment in my hands I would stop the world from moving/I'd stop the clocks from turning”

Adele - Hometown Glory - Adele’s recent global takeover proves that age isn’t a factor in success. What better way to say goodbye to the last 4 years than with a vocal powerhouse who made it before the age of 20? Plus, the lyrics always give us a bit of nostalgia, and what better time for some reminiscing than at graduation day?

Justin Bieber – Born to Be Somebody – If Justin Bieber was a normal teenage boy and not the world’s most sought after man under 20, he would be graduating in 2012. Finally, a role model who follows his own advice with lyrics like “I was born to be somebody / Ain't nothing that's ever gonna stop me”

Nicki Minaj – Fly – Nicki may love singing about her money and physical “assets”, but girlfriend sure knows how to inspire! The chorus: “I came to win, to fight, to conquer, to thrive/ I came to win, to survive, to prosper, to rise/ To fly, to fly”

Fun – We are Young – I almost wish I was part of the graduating class of 2012 just so we could use this song. It’s everything a grad song should be – fun, catchy, and inspirational. After all, your graduation truly is a celebration!

Nelly – The Champ – Nelly had the right idea when he said “Cause today is the day/Is the day that I have always dreamed of forever”. We bet there’s not one senior that doesn’t feel like this day took forever to get here. The Champ is the ultimate song to motivate, inspire and rock out to!

Jason Mraz – Song for a Friend - Another song to evoke nostalgia, this Jason Mraz tune is the perfect way to end a 4 year friendship. You’re not just saying goodbye to your classmates after all, think of all the teachers who have inspired you and even the classrooms that have helped you in getting where you are.

Lupe Fiasco – Never Forget You - You may not realize it, but graduation day is like wiping the slate clean. You can start over, meet new people, make new mistakes, live out your dreams. Exactly the message Lupe Fiasco has in mind with this tune. “And let the evidence show, the future’s so bright/ never been more, not like tonight.”

Nicki Minaj ft. Drake – Moment for Life - This flawless duet is packed with love, swag, and loads of passion. The message is simple: live the moment to the fullest. We’re sure you can take your caps off for that!

Flo Rida – Good Feeling – By the time graduation time comes around, stress is at a all time high. Remember that this day is a celebration, and from this moment forward you have the power to reach your goals. At least we know Flo Rida agrees. “I got power, feel so royal/ One second, I'ma strike oil/ Diamond, platinum, no more for you”.

Head Automatica- Graduation Day - Our reasoning is in the title. That, and the fact that the upbeat tempo is just what the grads need to relax and remember they are celebrating.

Whitney Houston - Greatest Love of All – Besides paying homage to one of the greats that we lost in 2012, this song sounds like it was made for an event like graduation. “I believe the children are our future / Teach them well and let them lead the way”

Green Day-- Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) – One of the most popular graduation songs to date, we just had to include this fun punk anthem to end the year with. Black nail polish not mandatory.

Lee Ann Womack -  I Hope you Dance – Since this was the song played at my fifth grade graduation, I just had to include it. A popular classic with a moving theme.

Alice Cooper – School’s Out – In my opinion, school’s not officially over until you’ve listened to this song. “No more pencils / No more books / No more teacher’s dirty looks”. Words to live by and the perfect close out for the class of 2012!

Madonna- I’ll Remember - Tupac may have come back to life at Coachella, but 2012 was the reemergence of Madonna. With a album, tour, and fashion line out, her anthem of learning and moving on is the perfect choice for this year’s grad.

Eve 6 – Here’s to the Night – I’ve included this in here for 2 reasons. One, the song just screams celebration. And two, I just don’t believe any body should graduate high school without having heard it.

The Graduation Song – Vitamin C – Even though this is an oldie, this song was literally written with graduating in mind. A bit of nostalgia, a touch of hope, and loads of fun.

Queen – We Will Rock You – Don’t deny it, you wish this was your graduation song. This is the choice for a school who doesn’t completely mind the students and their guests getting our of their seats to clap along with Freddie Mercury.
