Now what exactly is an Upside-Down Banana Split? It’s an ice cream dessert made with all the flavors of a traditional Banana Split but in a different way. Instead of normal vanilla ice cream, I mashed up a banana and made my own Banana Ice Cream. Top the banana split with chocolate-covered strawberries, whipped cream, and a maraschino cherry.

Ingredients:
1 Large Banana, Mashed
1 1/4 cup Vanilla Ice Cream, Softened
1/2 cup Chocolate, Melted
12 Fresh Strawberries
Whipped Cream, for Topping
Maraschino Cherries, for Topping
Directions:
In a medium bowl, stir together the mashed banana and vanilla ice cream. Place the ice cream mixture in the freezer to firm up until its cold enough to scoop, at least 3 hours up to overnight.
Carefully dip the strawberries into the melted chocolate. Place the dipped strawberries on parchment or wax paper and allow the chocolate to harden completely.
When ready to assemble, place 1 scoop of ice cream in a small bowl or dish. Top with 3 of the chocolate-dipped strawberries, a dollop of whipped cream, and a maraschino cherry. Repeat with the remaining ingredients. Serve immediately.
Makes:
About 4 Banana Splits
