Valentine's Day Balloon Card

The Valentine's Day balloon card is a sweet, creative way to express your love. It's also very cost effective - perfect for romantics on a budget.

Supplies:

- 1 gift box (at least 6" x 6")
- Silk ribbon (about one yard)
- 1 large round balloon
- 1 black sharpie
- Optional: black archival ink pad and stamp of your choice

Instructions:

1. Inflate a large round balloon of her favorite color (30" or larger; can be found online at Richard's Balloons) and use a rubber band to temporarily tie the bottom off. Do not make a knot to permanently tie it off.

2. Use a black sharpie to write a love note, scribble drawings, or write sweet and funny memories you've shared with your loved one over the past year. You can also use a archival quality inkpad and a stamp to add designs to the balloon.

3. Once the ink has dried, remove the rubber band and allow the balloon to deflate.

4. Gently nestle the empty balloon in a gift box with shredded tissue paper. Using a pretty silk ribbon, tie a handwritten note onto the base of the balloon that says "Inflate Me."

5. Finish by tying the box closed with another length of pretty silk ribbon and attach a tag that says, "Open Me."
