Valentine's Day Countdown Calendar

Create a Valentine's Day advent-style countdown calendar garland and fill each day with a mini surprise. It's a seasonal twist on the traditional advent calendar that will blow your loved one away with your thoughtfulness and creativity.

Supplies:

- 14 small boxes that can be hung, mini tins or clear Christmas bulbs
- 2 - 3 yards of strong ribbon in paramour's favorite color
- Colored paint pen to coordinate with the chosen ribbon color
- Shredded tissue paper for stuffing in boxes or tins
- 14 small items to place inside the boxes; one for each day of the month of February leading up to Valentine's Day
- Sturdy tape, fishing line or florist's wire to use for hanging the boxes or bulbs onto the ribbon garland

Instructions:

1. Number each mini box 1-14, one for each day of the month up to Valentine's Day.

2. Fill each box with a small amount of shredded tissue paper for color and padding.

3. Insert a folded piece of paper that contains a short love note, funny story, or reason you love your significant other. Alternate with small trinkets if you can find ones with meaning to your relationship, or his or her favorite candy.

4. Attach each box evenly spaced apart on the garland ribbon for a fantastically unique present.
