Gift exchanges are a fun activity for a Valentine's Day girls night. You can try one of two types of gift exchanges for your Valentine's Day party: a white elephant, or a secret cupid (secret Santa, V-day style). Whichever gift exchange you choose to do, make sure to put a dollar amount cap on what guests should spend - between $10 and $20 is a reasonable amount.
White Elephant Valentine's Day Gift Exchange Party
Ask guests to each bring a wrapped Valentine's Day or friendship-related present that costs between $10 - $20.
As guests arrive, stack all the presents in one location until after dinner.
Have guests pick numbers out of a bag to determine who chooses their package in what order.
After each guest has a wrapped gift, ask everyone to unwrap their gift. Then, let your friends know that they can barter or exchange gifts if they'd like.
Secret Cupid Valentine's Day Gift Exchange Party
Once all your guests have RSVP'd, match each guest up with another guest that they'll need to bring a gift for. Do not let anyone know who is in charge of bringing their gift, or it will ruin the surprise.
Ask guests to spend between $10 to $20 on their gift, and have them bring it to the party wrapped and labeled with the recipient's name on the gift.
After dinner, have everyone open up their gifts and try to guess who their secret cupid was. Once everyone has guessed, reveal the true secret cupids.
