Looking for a healthy alternative to popsicles that will keep your children cool this summer?

Melon freezes well and makes a great alternative to homemade popsicles that are simple enough to make that even your children can make with adult supervision.  I used watermelon, but any type of melon will work.

Ingredients

1 Whole watermelon
Popsicle Sticks

Directions

Slice the watermelon into triangles, taking care to remove the rind.

Once cut, place a popsicle stick in the center.

Before freezing, place the melon in a freezer safe dish and cover with plastic wrap.

Leave in the freezer for 2 hours before serving.
