Watermelon Theme Summer Party Invitation

Party planners will always tell you that your invitation is important because it sets the tone of your event as well as guests' expectations for it. No matter how formal or informal a celebration we plan, we always stick by this rule.

Over the course of planning many parties we've learned that invitations are also important for hosts. This is because more times than not your invitation will inspire the look, feel and menu for the event.

For our mini family reunion we hosted we needed party invitations that were family-friendly, casual and seasonal.

We found a Wet n' Wild Watermelon summer party invitation from Pear Tree Greetings. It worked out perfectly for us since we were aiming to put together a really casual get-together. Watermelon is pretty synonomous with summer in our family, too, which made it even more appropriate.

Each family was responsible for contributing some part of the party - be it food, decor or utensils. To keep in theme, we all agreed on a menu enhanced with our featured ingredient and a decor scheme that popped with bright reds and greens.

Overall the invite helped shape our summer party, but also kept us focused on what the celebration was all about - family!
