Using familiar icons of winter such as pinecones, evergreens and winterberries can all make for creative centerpieces.
Here are fresh ideas:
White Bouquets and Birch. These birch-covered flower pots from Save-On-Crafts are perfect for winter decorating. Fill them with water and then plop in bouquets of white carnations, roses or other favorite white flowers.
For a special touch, decorate a plain gift tag with the bride- and groom-to-be's initials and tie it to the center of the pot with a piece of twine. They'll be perfect to giveaway as raffle prizes!
Berry-filled Vases. If the bride is passionate about the color red, this centerpiece idea will be perfect.
For each centerpiece, purchase one large and one slightly-smaller clear, glass cylindrical vase. Place the smaller vase inside the larger one and then fill the gap with cranberries or faux winterberries. Place a large pillar candle in the vase or fill it with water and arrange a tight bouquet of white or red carnations inside.
Pinecones and Evergreen Wreaths. Weave boughs of evergreen onto a metal wreath base that's about 8" wide or so. Hot glue or use floral wire to attach pinecones on top. For a snowy-effect, sprinkle on some faux spray snow. Place the wreath on the table and place a pillar candle in the center.
