On Monday, May 14, 2012, New York City witnessed the matrimony of two very furry little friends – Piper and Boo. Their wedding was not only the party of the year, but proceeds from the event went to benefit the North Shore Animal League of America as well as Waggytail Rescue. The event took place at the fabulous event venue Twenty Four Fifth and was filled with some of Boo and Piper’s favorite two-legged friends and one furry bridal party.

Dogs are referred to as “man’s best friend” for a reason – so of course I wish we had thought of this woof woof wedding for my best friend first! He’s a 5 year old Golden Retriever with a big heart and a slobbery kiss – any takers?

I think the words “AW!” describe this photo perfectly. The newly joined couple can’t wait to get out of their outfits and onto the honeymoon. Do you think heart shaped Jacuzzis come in miniature size?

This lovely pooch got the royal treatment in her fabulous Kleinfield dress and veil. We bet the groom’s party couldn’t keep their paws to themselves.

The happy couple opted for an altar fit for a life of treats and tail wagging – by building a dog house altar for the joyous occasion.

What’s a wedding without a cake?! The guests feasted on a beautiful cake, voted on by fans, and the bridal party got something a little more pooch friendly. This peanut-butter biscuit cake was definitely one for the dogs.

After exchanging vows, the pups changed out of their wedding gear and took part in the traditional ring exchange – with a twist. These fabulous pooches exchanged a pair of glamorous diamond collars to make this event truly memorable.
