Yo Gabba Gabba! Balloon Characters

Balloons will be a  key element to your Yo Gabba Gabba! theme kids birthday party decor. To give your balloons a fun edge, make your balloons look like the Yo Gabba Gabba! characters. The kids at the party will love them, and they are easy to make, too! Make these before the party begins so that they're ready to be on display.

Directions

• Supplies:
  
  • One pink, blue, green, red, and yellow balloon
  • Approx. 9 sheets White, 3 black, 1 red, 2 blue sheets of paper
  • Gluestick
  • Thick black sharpie

  Get a pink, blue, green, red, and yellow balloon to represent each of the Yo Gabba Gabba! characters. Next, you have to get your creative juices flowing. Get pieces of lightweight white paper and cut out eight ovals and one big circle (preferably two ovals per sheet of paper) - these will be the eyes to the characters.

  General Directions:

  1. Get your character's colored balloon. (ex. Pink for Foofa, Yellow for Plex, Blue for Toodee, Red for Muno, and Green for Brobee)
  2. Put the two ovals on the balloon to act as eyes, slant them so that the top of each oval is pointing towards the center of the balloon.
  3. Use a black sharpie to color in circular eyeballs.
• Brobee
  --Cut out Brobees mouth with your red piece of paper, using the entire length of the (8.5 x 11) paper for this.
  --In the center of his mouth, use a sharpie to color in the mouth opening.
  --Take black paper (8.5 x 11) and cut it lengthwise at about 1/3 of the way for Brobees unibrow.
  --Glue all parts onto the balloon.
• Foofa
  --Take a red piece of paper and cut out a little crescent shape for her mouth.
  --Take a pink piece of paper and make a pink flower for her head.
  --Glue all parts on the balloon.
  --Use a sharpie to draw her eyelashes.
• Toodee
  --Using a black piece of paper, cut out a small oval for a nose.
  --Take a WHITE piece of paper and cut a small crescent for a mouth.
  --With a sharpie, draw two triangles for Toodees teeth, and fill in the rest with sharpie ink.
  --Use a blue piece of paper to cut out Toodees sideburns. First, cut out a half-circle then add jagged lines.
• Muno
  --Take your big white circle and color in a pupil for Muno.
  --Take a white piece of paper and cut out a long crescent for a mouth.
  --With a sharpie draw two triangles for Toodees teeth, fill the rest with sharpie ink.
• Plex
  --Get a piece of black paper, trim it into a stout rectangle (almost square-like) thats big enough to fit both his eyes.
  --Gluestick his eyes on top of the rectangle.
