I had the honor of making these for a fantastic fella from over seas! In Kansas City we have an amazing Rockabilly music scene and one of our best homegrown bands, The Rumblejetts, traveled to Europe last summer and while they were there the met Peter! Well fast forward a few months and Peter decides to come to KC to celebrate his birthday! So naturally we had to have cupcakes for him! And anyone that knows these boys know that they love their whiskey! That is how the Rockabilly Rouser was born. It is dark chocolate cake, filled with dark chocolate Jesse James bourbon whiskey ganache, topped with a vanilla butter cream that is infused with...more Jesse James whiskey! And since bacon makes everything better, we added some candied bacon and drizzled just a smidge more of our whiskey ganache on top! After we debuted these, people begged us to add them to our regular menu (which of course we were happy to oblige!)
