I Do OverTurning Disaster Weddings into Dream Weddings

A week before Lindsy and Reid’s wedding in 2010, Lindsy broke her leg in three places at her bachelorette party. She wore crutches with her wedding dress and couldn’t even walk down the isle, but that was just the beginning of the Jennings’ misfortune that day. The wedding officiant was inappropriate, cracking jokes about her broken leg, and to top it all off, the butterflies that were meant to be released died during the ceremony.

The I Do Over team along with Jim McCann, Founder of Celebrations.com, came to the rescue by surprising the Jennings’ with their dream wedding in only five days! Lindsy expressed her interest in a fairytale, “Under the Sea” wedding. Diann clearly had her work cut out for her!

To start the Do Over, Lindsy chose a new wedding dress and Reid worked on a love poem that would be painted down the isle at the ceremony. Lena Katz, Celebrations.com Travel Expert, and Diann trick the Jennings’ and ask them for honeymoon advice for another couple. Little did they know, Jim McCann  planned on surprising them at their I Do Over wedding with that very honeymoon!

The day of the wedding Diann had to make sure Lindsy’s “Under the Sea” theme was vibrantly showcased throughout the wedding reception, while still using lots of pink! Vibrant pink and red roses lined the isle and the reception hall, making the occasion both magical and romantic. Of course the couple flipped when Jim McCann gifted them with their I Do Over honeymoon to Mexico! (See the bonus clip here)

This was the perfect I Do Over wedding for the Jennings’! Tthe bride was even able to make it through the whole evening on her own two feet!
