Episode 4 Recap
It had only been a year since Jung and Victor Tumbaga’s wedding, but it still brings back horrible memories. The aftermath of a Chilean earthquake hit southern California on the day of their wedding and with the threat of a Tsunami approaching, rain and winds ripped their wedding apart, literally! But that was only the beginning; it was all downhill from there! The couple missed out on their first dance, group pictures with their wedding party and all the wonderful memories that come with their special day.
The I Do Over wedding team was determined to bring the Tumbaga’s a Do Over outdoor wedding of their dreams. After a trip to pick out a new dress and wedding décor, Victor took his two dogs to get a makeover and special outfits for the wedding. One thing that stood out for Diann Valentine was Jung’s ruined candy stand at her first wedding. It was something that was really important to her, so with the help of Jim McCann, Founder of Celebrations.com and Celebrations Expert Cheryl Dent, the two created a Candy Land themed lounge full of 200lbs of candy from the Popcorn Factory, Fannie May and 1800-Baskets! Jung was so surprised and thrilled to see her candy stand come to life!
Thankfully on wedding day the weather was perfect! The ceremony overlooked a beautiful hillside and 16,000 yellow and white roses covered the reception, making it a truly romantic evening. The couple finally had their first dance and Jim McCann gifted the couple free flowers from 1-800 Flowers for the next year! This I Do Over was nothing but a joyous, memorable day for the Tumbaga’s!
