About
Renowned wedding and event designer, Diann Valentine joins forces with Celebrations.com’s Jim McCann and the Celebrations Experts to give deserving couples a chance to do their weddings over ceremonies after a not-so-perfect first walk down the aisle, proving that it’s never too late to make your fantasy wedding a reality.
Four years ago I married my true love, June 12, 2007. I will never regret marring him, however I will always regret not including our families. I was 20 years old, he was 21 and in the USMC when we got married. We were together four years prior to getting married, and knew we would be together forever and still believe that today. The initial plan for getting married at the Justice of the Peace was to have a ceremony/reception when he came home from his deployment from Afghanistan. Now we are both currently enrolled in college and trying to make smart choices in this economy. Which includes continuing to put wedding plans on the back burner. I hope to have a wedding that incorporates our families and friends in a celebration that our marriage deserves. Four years after getting married, the majority of our families have not met each other, and use wedding plans as a topic of discussion each and every time we are together.
If the two of you are living in Florida, I would be happy to officiate your do over marriage at no cost to you. I''m also a freelance writer and I write custom ceremonies that include things which a stranger might miss. I myself, had a less than stellar wedding experience 25 years ago and we're still married but I still long for that special day, so I completely understand. Best of luck to you both and please try and remember that its the marriage, not the ceremony that really matters!! Angie
