|Your Host:||Irla: Our 10th year of Wilderness Bliss!|
'A noble gesture of the Earth'
Our destination for the10th year Annual Family Camping Trip: Spectacular Sierra & Inyo National Forests! Home to Ansel Adams Wilderness, John Muir Wilderness, Devils Postpile Monument & Mammoth Lakes. Our 1st Family Camping in September 2003 was at Grays Meadow in Onion Valley located in the Eastern Sierras. There were no flush-toilets, no showers, but the breathtaking scenery, great fishing and delicious food made up for it. It's been 9 years of fishing, feasting, campfire jam sessions and Hawaiian Luaus. Even the parties that had to be shut down were legendary. Some even attracted bears.
Let's make it another EPIC celebration!
This year, we will also throw a Special Doggy Pawty for all those happy furry friends that have participated in our wilderness adventures. Joni Mitchell, Bernie, Gigi, Brady, Smokey, Koda, Fluffy, Mamajama, Bronx, Bailey, Coco, Lenny, Diego, Scout, Rommel & Bodie to name a few.
A very short memorial service will also be held for Einsten & Minnow, who are now happily wagging their tails in fido heaven. Pls bring your puppies for the celebration!
Sean & Emily recently got engaged this year! So, why not? Throw them an Engagement Party. Fun festivities are scheduled. Costumes encouraged. No themes! Celebration will take place on Saturday, July 12th, @ 12pm.
So many events to celebrate! It will be an exciting weekend!
If you have any questions, pls call irla (310)753-5600/ email me: email@example.com. I am also asking $30/person for the entire weekend to help pay for the 2 group sites, etc. You can pay in advance using Paypal under Event Fund on this site. Don't forget to RSVP & state number of guests attending.
I have also included an Items Checklist to bring under Potluck option. We made this decision to prevent families from bringing similar items to the trip & save car space. If you choose an item/s to bring, pls mention under Guests News & Comments. You can also suggest items to bring. Don't forget ur Hawaiian Flair for the BIG LUAU Celebration.
.Thank you. See you on the trails!
From U.S. Highway 395, take Highway 203 west through the town of Mammoth Lakes. Turn right onto Minaret (203). Pass the Mammoth Mountain Ski Area and Minaret Vista. There's a $10 entrance fee/vehicle. Tell the Ranger you are camping at Pumice. Continue a few miles on Red's Meadow Road to the campground turnoff.
