On Sunday, September 28 from 3-5pm, White Dove Girls' School will be hosting a benefit concert to honor the people of Rwanda & celebrate the Hope & Healing of their nation 20 years after Genocide. This concert will include a variety of music, choirs, and readings. Special guest performers include Ann Reed, Dan Chouinard, Cameron Wright, & the choir of Benilde-St. Margaret.
Concert tickets are: $30/adult, $10/student
Following the concert, there will be an "afterglow" dinner at Grand Cafe, 3804 Grand Ave. Tickets for the both the concert & dinner are $100/person

Ann Reed's accolades: Minnesota Music Academy Performer of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Best Recording of the Year, along with awards from nonprofits that she has supported. Ann has toured coast to coast, doing concerts, clubs, & festivals including Bumbershoot, Winnipeg, Black Mountain, & National Women's Music Festival. She appeared on A Prairie Home Companion, ABC's Good Morning America, & NPR's Morning Edition, and on countless radio stations across the U.S. She wrote & performed Heroes, a theatrical presentation produced by Minnesota Public Radio. She also developed (with Denise Tabet) Nothing But Class: The Songs of Dorothy Fields. Where the Earth Is Round is Ann's 20th recording.
Dan Chouinard is pianist & accordionist for a roster of artists in the Twin Cities & beyond, appearing recently in performances & recordings by Prudence Johnson, Maria Jette, Peter Ostroushko, Kevin Kling, James Sewell Ballet & Vocalessence. He's regularly commissioned to create special live programs for Minnesota Public Radio, the Minnesota Historical Society & others. Some recent shows include: Bootleg Valentinel; Steerage Song, co-authored with Peter Rothstein; Cafe Europa; & Rondo '56. He's released CDs with Maria Jette & Rose Ensemble.
Cameron Wright's gift for song was clear before he could speak & he is a 22 yr. old singing phenom with a four octave range. He was sought after by Stevie Wonder at thirteen-years old, after hearing his rendition of “Greatest Love of All”. He has also performed with & for Spike Lee, Smokey Robinson, & India Arie.
