Have to set a holiday table for a last-minute party? Recycle last year's tree ornaments (or pick them off from your current tree) and reuse them as the centerpiece of your holiday table.
Remember to pick a color scheme and stick to it; I have chosen silver, glass and white for past parties, which are simple colors to work with, but today I am using, red, white and silver with crystal accents.Â
The best (and greenest) way to decorate for a baby shower is with inexpensive, seasonal flowers. Bunches of daisies and sunflowers are great for the warmer weather. If the shower is closer to holiday times, poinsettias are fun and festive.Tip: When buying any kinds of flower, supplement with lots of sprigs of greenery (available dirt cheap wherever flowers are sold). It will cut your cost enormously but still look classy and beautiful.
