LIGHTING•    Use the lighting that already exists in your home, but put them on a dimmer to set the mood for the party.  You can also order candles online from Creative Candles, but make sure they are all the same scent so that the smell doe...

Veggie Fall Arrangements: Butternut Squash
I have many ideas to share when it comes to using fruits and vegetables as containers for flower arrangements. One of my favorites is the butternut squash. The shape and texture of the squash makes it hard to tell at first that it's real and not a ce...

Veggie Fall Arrangements: Asparagus
The asparagus vase is always a hit! Everybody loves it and it's so easy to make. How To:1. Simply take the rubber band from around a bunch of asparagus and put it around a clear beverage glass. 2. Take a stalk of asparagus and place it between the ru...

Veggie Fall Arrangements: Artichoke
The artichoke is really a natural vase. Again, using what's in season, I decided to go with dahlias and lavender. Using fresh lavender sprigs as accents make it smell delicious too. Here are some simple steps to follow to create your own artichoke ar...

Stunning Seasonal Centerpiece
Simply place floral foam in a plastic dish or liner on one side to create your floral arrangement. On the other side, layer bunches of vibrant vegetables. You can actually keep the display in your kitchen and take from the basket as needed.Another great idea is to use one side of the basket for crudites and dip. Just have fun with it!

Thanksgiving Decor: Votive Holders
These votive holders are a simple way to spruce up your home and add sophistication to your fall soiree.Glue desiccated leaves onto votive holders. Leaves have such intricate designs to them and with the glow of the candle light behind it, you can see all the details.Place a floral arrangement nearby to enhance the beauty of the candles.

Thanksgiving Decor: Sunflower Topiary
This sunflower topiary is so fresh and fun! You can recreate this with any flower, but I love the way sunflowers look. Bonus: Since sunflowers are so big, you don't have to buy too many like you would with other types of flowers.Arrange this stunning display on the center of your dining table and place candles around it in a circular fashion.

Thanksgiving Decor: Orchids
Orchids are my favorite flower to work with because they are so hearty and come in a huge variety of colors. Look for orchids in muted browns, golds, and oranges like the ones in the picture. These colors add elegance to your affair.Group candles into fours on your tables to create different patterns.

Thanksgiving Decor: Individual Topiaries
Creating individual topiaries for each guest is a great way to jazz up your table, plus your guests can take them home as party favors. Here I made individual topiaries out of kumquats but you could use mini artichokes, pomegranates, or crab apples. Experiment with all different types of fruits and vegetables. Get creative at the supermarket!

Thanksgiving Décor
Set up your dining room table the weekend before. That way you can take your time creating a beautiful table with place cards and all.If you are having a large group over, consider setting up your table formally (as if it were a sitdown) but instead of having the food at the table, set up a buffet in the kitchen. This way everyone can make a plate and still have room to sit down together at one table.Check out our Thanksgiving Décor section for more great ideas!
