My design training is in animation (having done work for The Simpsons & King of the Hill) which you can see influenced my brand. After deciding that I couldn't leave New York for LA, I switched gears and began working for a stationery company called Design-her Gals. At Design-her Gals, I art directed the online design team, which led me to landing the position of Founding Online Art Director for Scholastic Book Clubs (the most profitable division of Scholastic, Inc.). I loved working at Scholastic and had an office and all the perks of corporate life, but the transient nature of online work bothered me. A lot of time and effort went into e-mails and web sites that only lived online for a brief amount of time. And while hundreds of thousands of teachers and parents saw my work every day, I felt very disconnected from them. So I abandoned the big corporate life to switch gears a bit and start my own stationery company! My mission with 76th Street Ink is nothing less than making things printed on paper cool again, connecting families of all kinds, and spreading good vibes! This store is an online place where old-fashioned methods of community, getting together and staying in touch are honored in today's fast paced world.
