I would not recommend this vendor. My friend who was getting married at the same time as me recommended The American Wedding to me. Both she and I had issues around the same time, all stemming from poor order fulfillment.
I spent over $600 on invitations, thinking they would come all ready to easily package up and send to our guests. After all, the ease is what we were spending the big bucks for, right? Wrong. Everything came to us completely separated. We had to get out the glue and do everything ourselves. It took me probably 12 hours to get the invitations ready to send.
You're not able to see mocks without paying $20. We opted in to see mocks, but for some reason, it didn't take, so we weren't able to see them before receiving. Either way, they say a professional will look at your wording and determine the best font size/layout for your invites. We received a, what's called "informal card", that was literally in point 5 font or smaller. I could barely read it, let alone my older relatives. Additionally, it said "Reception" on the top, which it shouldn't have, seeing as how we already had a separate reception card. I called to complain. They were courteous, and easy to work with. They said they would revise and send out immediately. The invitations were all held up because of that one piece. It took TWO WEEKS to get the revised version. We did as much as possible without that sheet, but needless to say, it held up the whole works.
So the invites finally go out and everything is fine. We have the wedding and I go to write Thank You notes. I then realize that they never sent thank you note envelopes. Again, courteous and easy to work with, but it took about a week to week and a half to get the envelopes.
As you can tell, the customer service staff there is very nice and helpful. These were issues that should never have happened in the first place. My friend had the same no-envelope problem. They need to be more careful when sending out their orders. It definitely caused a lot of stress throughout. I would not recommend paying this much to a company that doesn't take care with their orders.
