Anna took our engagement photos last year. She's so friendly and great to work with. She arrived promptly and took a huge number of photos in just a few hours. We really love the photojournalistic style of her pictures. Everything looked natural and the colors in the photos really popped without looking heavily edited. The photo CD arrived promptly within a few weeks and was beautifully packaged.

Anna photographed our wedding and was great to work with. I found her on a google search and after reading reviews and looking at photos on her website we knew we had found our photographer. We were also pleasantly surprised at how affordable her wedding packages are. She responded quickly to emails leading up to the wedding, and it made me feel very at ease and confident that she would not disappoint on our wedding day. The day of the wedding she arrived on time and immediately starting taking photographs. She was unobtrusive yet managed to completely capture every moment. We recieved our photos less than 4 weeks after the wedding, and we are totally in love with every single one. Anna truely has a gift for photography, and I am so happy we chose her!

I found Anna on wedding wire for local photographers. I planned our Auburn, NY wedding long distance and on a tight budget. Anna was THE most responsive wedding vendor we had--she promptly answered every question, concern, etc. She was also very budget friendly and flexible. However, it has been the beautiful quality of her work that really blew us away. We couldn't be happier with our wedding pictures--Anna is incredibly talented and captured our happiness, our familes' happiness, and our energetic dancing perfectly. She didn't bat an eye at my request to include our dog and thought quickly of nice shots for our "First Look" without having ever visited the space. We knew our reception would be a giant dance party, so it was important to me that the pictures capture the craziness on the dance floor--and they certainly do! Anna exceeded all of my expectations in every way. To top it all off, she's kind, quiet, and professional. I would highly recommend Anna to all brides getting married in the area. I'm so grateful to Anna for capturing our day so beautifully.

I agonized over choosing a photographer that would capture all of the memories of the day, take high-quality photos that my own camera couldn't deliver, be a happy and calming presence, and also not cost in the $2000+ range. Anna was the perfect choice in all these respects - she put my mom and I totally at ease in each of our conversations with her and she was super relaxed and flexible the day of. I also really enjoyed being at the reception and not worrying about photos, because I knew she was capturing gorgeous candids of everyone! Even in difficult lighting, Anna was always making quick adjustments to her camera so that everyone showed up wonderfully. I'm so grateful to her for making that aspect of the day so enjoyable and stress-free!

Anna was so incredible to work with! She was extremely responsive, starting from our initial e-mail through after the wedding itself. Because I hate posed photos (and having my picture taken in general) I told Anna that I wanted an unobtrusive photographer who would blend in and not make her presence known. Anna fulfilled my expectations and more. We not only have some amazing photos of the day (and of some unexpected moments therein), but she was able to assimilate incredibly well into the crowd of guests we had. Additionally, because the day passed by in such a blur (which it will, no matter how well you plan), Anna was able to politely and surreptitiously let me know that she was scheduled to leave in an hour when we hadn't done the cake cutting or first dance yet (yes, we were that behind), and offered to stay later if necessary, then blended back into the scenery. I would highly recommend Anna to anyone looking for a laid-back, professional, and extremely talented photographer in NY. We had such a great experience with her, and I wouldn't have changed a thing. Anna was great at providing the wedding party with directions when pictures were being set up. Additionally she was very skilled in taking spontaneous "capture the moment" type photos inconspicuously. She was very flexible in being ok with last minute location changes and juggling different opinions at different times. There was really a great picture taken of almost every guest in attendance along with the wedding party. We were really pleased with the final pictures and the guests were happy with the inexpensive and easy method of ordering prints. We would recommend her as a dependable and quality wedding photographer!

Anna was awesome! Pics were something that my husband and I agonized over because it's the one thing that you have for years to come. We looked at over 20 photographers before we found Anna. I happened to see the reviews on WW and the brides who had reviewed her used words like "professional", "blended in", "responsive" etc. That was exactly what we were looking for! I emailed Anna to ask for a quote and she responded within 5 minutes. Seriously, I know this might not be a big deal to some people, but I work in a field where timeliness of emails is a big thing. And it wasn’t just the first time that I sent her an email. Every time I email her for anything, she responds immediately! Even though I had never spoken to her before our wedding day, I had no reservations about her, she was so on top of everything! (Especially huge for a bride that was planning her wedding from afar, I live in VA but was planning a wedding in NY. ) The day of our wedding she was awesome! She captured moments I would have never even thought about. I forgot she was even there, especially when we were getting ready! She had an assistant photographing the boys (I think her assistant’s name was Lauren, but I never noticed her either!). She took posed shots when we requested, but she was not a photographer to push the stupid cheesy shots that some photographers would push for (I didn’t jump in the air). In looking at her blog, she’s been busy. After our wedding I think she’s had at least one wedding every weekend since then. Despite that, she still had our wedding photos done a full week before our contract stated. She emailed our discs to us a week before I thought she would. Then the post office decided to not recognize the fact I was married (and lost a significant chunk of my mail, including these discs). So Anna mailed us an entirely new set! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding photographer!

Anna is an incredibly talented photographer. She did our wedding a few weeks ago and we can't believe how beautiful our photographs are. She's an absolute magician with the light. Of course talent's not the only thing you want in a wedding photographer: you want someone who's reliable, easy to reach, and pleasant to be around. Anna's photography is captivating and her personality rocks! All we wanted for our wedding day was to be able to look back on it and see gorgeous photos to remember our day and that's exactly what we received. Somehow, Anna always finds the best lighting and catches you at your best. You'll be missing out greatly if you don't choose her as your wedding day photographer. And we had an engagement photo shoot as well, where she made us feel super comfortable and those photos are equally as breathtaking!

My husband and I were married in August of 2011 and Anna Simonak was our photographer. I found Anna searching online for photographers in the Ithaca area that had a very artistic and natural way of capturing photos. I discovered Anna's work on her blog, website and facebook and fell in love with her work. Once I met her, I knew we found the one. In fact, I think her photos became my new standard of mementos I wanted captured at our wedding. She was perfect. On the day of our wedding, Anna was professional, sweet, down-to-earth, on time, calm, and most importantly, she was unnoticed. My wedding party was running late and we were rushing to get ready. We barely noticed her. And the photos that reflect that moment, are incredible. During the ceremony and reception, Anna seemed to float seamlessly through our 200+ guests, gathering the most beautiful and timeless memories. She was able to see moments that a Bride and Groom only get to experience through pictures. And when I reflect on those pictures, I feel the moments all over again. I recommend Anna Simonak to everyone. Not only is she an incredible photographer, but she is an inspiring woman with a beautiful heart.

Anna photographed our July wedding at the Fontainebleau Inn in Alpine, NY. The grounds of the Fontainebleau are beautiful and we lucked out with the weather. Although Anna had not shot at our venue before, she really captured the beautiful scenery and all of the important moments of the wedding. Anna was very prompt responding to emails prior to our wedding. I had given her a list of formal shots I wanted, but told her that we didn't want all of our pictures to look too posed. Anna did a great job with the formal shots, but the more informal ones were amazing! Anna brought an assistant with her for the first few hours. Having a second photographer there was a great benefit as they were able to get many different angles and shots at the ceremony especially. We were so pleased with how the pictures turned out. Anna sent us a few shots in the weeks following the wedding and the completed gallery arrived via email just a few short weeks after the wedding. Anna also mailed us discs of the photographs in a beautiful little book. It was a pleasure working with Anna. We couldn't have been happier with our experience!

Anna was AMAZING to work with! We found her through her website, and were very impressed with her portfolio. We met with her once before booking, and were impressed with her professionalism and her overall presence- she really listened to what we wanted. Before the wedding, she was easy to get in touch with and always responsive via email, and she was incredibly flexible with timing the day of. At the wedding, she seemed like she was everywhere without being obtrusive. Her shots really captured the feeling of some of the most special moments in our lives, as well as a lot of the details we put so much thought into. The finished products were delivered to us with a two weeks of the wedding, and have a great casual-yet-artistic feel to them. I cannot recommend working with Anna enough!

Anna was amazing at our wedding! She was practically undetectable all day and evening while she was snapping shots. I was so busy enjoying my day that I did not give a single thought to what was being captured because she somehow gave me the impression that it was all taken care of. Six days after my wedding I got the link to the pictures and it was! She had hundreds and hundreds of the most amazing candids. Eveyone there was captured beautifully. Anna Simonak photographed my fiance's mother's wedding in October 2010 and did engagement photos for my fiance and I in June 2011. I can't say enough how lucky we were to have found Anna. Anna was a dream-come-true. After having dealt with pushy photographers at friends' weddings we were a little nervous hiring someone via email from across the country, well we had no need to be nervous! Anna was very sweet, professional, unobtrusive, quick to offer suggestions when we ran out of ideas, but never pushy or less than gracious! I chose Anna Simonak to photograph my daughter’s wedding by studying the photos on her website, those on her flickr.com page, and by reading reviews from earlier customers. The fact that her fees and services are quite reasonable and practical was a bonus. She communicated extremely well and quickly by email, answering all sorts of odds and ends of questions. At the wedding itself she was quiet, responsive, taking specific photos we asked for and then unobtrusively clicking away on her own while events unfolded. We are very happy with the quality of both the posed photos and the candid shots. Several friends and relatives captured the posed photos on their own cameras, but Anna’s photographs of virtually the same frames outshine the amateurs with superior focus, color, depth, and lighting quality. Let me repeat: quality. Her candid shots captured the activity, humor, thoughtfulness, and happiness of the entire event. The only photo Anna missed was when the bride threw the bouquet, but that is because the bouquet shot straight as an arrow and hit Anna herself! But the next photo taken was only a split-second later; she never missed a beat. We are all very happy with Anna Simonak’s work and highly recommend her.

We are thrilled to have Anna as our photographer. She is very professional and with a great personality. She is more affordable than other photographers in this area, but the quality of the pics she took is equally good as others, if not better. I like her style much more than other photographers. That's another reason we chose her besides the reason money-wise. She has a very unique vision which is represented through her pictures. She captured the emotions so well. We just received the discs Anna mailed us. By looking at the pics, we feel like reliving the day. Anna was not noticeable at the wedding, but she was everywhere. She took great pics of us, and of the guests. If we were going to hire a photographer again, we would choose Anna definitely.

Anna is a bride & groom's dream come true. Her photos translate every memory you'll want from your day. She took shots I had forgotten I wanted to ask her for. And her turnaround time spells out instant gratification - we were still on honeymoon when she uploaded our photos to the online gallery. My only recommendation would be, if you are waffling on whether to book her for a shorter period of time to shave your budget a bit - don't. She's super budget friendly in the first place and that little extra bit for those few extra hours of her getting to roam free capturing your day will be more worth it than you'll ever know :)

We stumbled on Anna thru Project Wedding and could not be more thrilled with the outcome. Every moment with her was a joy and the photos brought tears to my eyes from how perfectly she captured our day. She caught every moment I wished I had a camera of my own for, brought out the best in everyone, and found details I didn't even know were there. Thanks to her we'll be able to re-visit our wedding reception whenever we want, and for that I can't thank her enough.

We were totally thrilled with the photographs and the interaction with Anna at our daughter's wedding this past fall. The candids as well as the more staged shots were of high quality, creative and they truly captured the essence of a memorable and happy occasion at our home. We loved working with Anna. She does a photojournalist style, which is what my husband and I were looking for. She caught so many special moments from our wedding, and when you look back over them its almost like reliving the day. If you are looking for more typical formalized wedding photos then she may not specialize in that style, but if you want more moments than formal pictures, she is wonderful. Anna also edited and sent us our pictures very quick and was always responsive to our questions.

Anna did a wonderful job of capturing our day. I can't actually recall how I found Anna, but I am so glad I did. She was so great to work with and was very responsive to all communication. She did a great job of arriving early on the day of our wedding (which nearly freaked me out because I thought we were running late when I saw her)and immediately jumped into action shooting away and capturing moments that would have otherwise been missed. My only wish is that there were two of her! I know there are only certain shots that can be obtained while having two shooters during a ceremony, but Anna did a wonderful job trying to get every important shot. She was like a photographing ninja, I never felt over burdened by her presence and was pleased to see many shots I never knew she took. I would definitely recommend her to other brides.
