Nick from Beat Train Productions was the DJ for our Boston wedding. We chose the company and him based on reviews and we are so happy that we did. It was easily the number one compliment that we received from guests. The company is incredibly well-run and professional. They got right back to us after our initial inquiry and continued to be responsive through the day of. We came up with a list of our preferred artists and handed the rest over to Nick. He did a fabulous job.

DJ Seth from Beat Train Productions was amazing! We loved the music and had a blast dancing all night. My husband and I were so busy and overwhelmed before the wedding that we didn't give Seth much guidance about song choices but he totally nailed it and played exactly what we like. The dance floor was packed all night and everyone had a great time. Seth set the tone for a really fun party - people keep telling us how awesome our DJ was and numerous people have said it was the must fun they have ever had at a wedding. My husband and I booked Beat Train after doing a lot of research. We had a "wedding celebration" on NYE so we wanted a fun DJ without the traditional wedding stuff. Greg was fantastic! We had out wedding in the middle of December in Rhode Island. Beat Train was excellent and very accommodating to all of our needs - that is a very good thing when you are running around trying to organize! Their pre-event questionnaire was very helpful. We first saw Beat Train a month before our wedding and was astonished at how a DJ could make a wedding unbelievable with beats for all ages that moved so smoothly in an out of each other. Our DJ had big shoes to fill and we hoped our wedding was going to be as much fun. Unfortunately, our DJ exhibited so much unprofessionalism in the last few weeks before our wedding that we decided that it was better to cancel and try to figure out a new DJ than to engage them for the most special day of our lives. One of my bridesmaids was the bride at the wedding the month before and when I explained my predicament she got Ari on the phone. He understood our huge problem and made numerous phone calls on our behalf and introduced us to Greg. Beat Train was so accommodating and kind while assuring us that they should be the least of our worries. Greg was able to work with us and make recommendations based on our style and taste of music while still considering our audience. He was able to answer questions at night and over the weekend so that we could pack months worth of information into a couple of days. They took a near no-DJ-disaster wedding to an amazing party from ceremony to last song. There are no words that can describe what they were able to do in less than a couple of weeks that led to an unbelievable time. Neither of us could thank them or recommend them more for their professionalism, their passion for music and true desire to make sure every single person at the venue had a good time based on their musical preferences. I can't say enough wonderful things about Seth. He was so attentive during the planning process, and was totally on the same wavelength. I mentioned the general vibe we were going for during dinner, and he knew exactly which artists and songs to play. Since the wedding, we've gotten so much positive feedback on Seth from our guests. Many of them have said they've never heard such a great mix of music at a wedding before. It was so hard to sit down and take a break because every song he played was better than the last! We had our guests cheering "one more song" at the end of the night... I've never seen demand for an encore at a wedding before! It's a testament to how great he was. We are absolutely thrilled that we chose Seth because he helped make our wedding the best night of our lives!

Beat Train Productions was such a great company to work with! We decided to book with them based on a wedding we had been to a few years prior where the music was absolutely perfect (no typical wedding dj stuff here). After listening to the mixes on the website, reading the dj bios, and speaking with Ari; we decided to hire Seth for our wedding. Seth was great to work with from start to finish. He was always super responsive and available via email. He was open to meeting in person or via phone (whichever was easiest for us). Seth was useful in helping us decide on some of our music based on his experience, but also 100% open to our thoughts (he didn't even bat an eyelash at our Nine Inch Nails Processional request)! Some of our requested artists included the misfits, otis redding, the ramones, roy orbison, carly rae jepsen, and plenty of old school hip hop. Seth made the transition between these ridiculously varied genres seamlessly. At one point, just as the bridal party was about to be introduced, the power went out at our venue for a full hour ....Seth handled the lack of power beautifully and even had no problem staying the extra hour at the end of the night to make up for lost time. We've heard from a few people that our wedding was the most fun wedding they have been to - and I believe Seth had a great deal to do with that. He is the only vendor thus far to follow up with me after the wedding and thank us for hiring him. I would not hesitate to recommend Beat Train Productions and Seth Isaacs to anyone planning a wedding or event involving music!

We used Drew Burrows from Beat Train Productions for our wedding, and it was wonderful! They were always very quick to respond to questions, and not at all pushy or distant. Drew talked to us a few times before the wedding and made it clear to us what he would need us to provide so that he could do the best job. We gave him a list (that I imagine is pretty typical) of the songs we wanted at each ceremony point (cake cutting, first dances, familial dances, and such things) and everything went as expected. We also gave him a very small list of our must-play and do-not-plays... he followed these very well. What's more he was able to extrapolate from those lists the sort of music that we would best enjoy. He also was very capable in getting the atmosphere moving from dinner to dancing. There were almost always dancers, and I think that had more to do with Drew's DJing than anything else! I absolutely recommend him.

Beat Train Productions was recommended to us from both friends and several of the other vendors we were working with for our wedding in Newport, RI in October '13. I hired Beat Train Productions for my wedding and Ari Rosenfield was my DJ. I can’t say enough about Ari! He was AMAZING! He totally brought the party to my wedding! Leading up to the wedding he was always in contact with me meeting me at the venue beforehand, discussing set up and making sure that everything would run smoothly that day, and it did! We love such a wide range of music and my biggest thing was making sure he would cover all the genres we love. No matter what crazy requests we had, he had it! I’m Jewish and my husband is Irish Catholic from Boston and we always wanted both traditions as part of the wedding so dancing the Horah was a given and when that was done Ari had the best idea and said “Now were gonna play the Irish Horah” and he played Dropkick Murphys “I'm Shipping Up to Boston”! Everyone went crazy it was AWESOME! It was moments like that that sets Ari apart from other DJ’s, he’s a true artist and knows how those personal touches makes a world of difference! Our wedding went into the wee hours of the night because Ari kept the party going and made sure that everyone from age 4 to 70 were on that dance floor partying the night away! Greg from Beat Train was an incredible partner on our wedding day. He was focused on the atmosphere we wanted to create for a fairly small but diverse group of wedding guests - from kids to older adults. We had a jazz quintet for our cocktail hour, and Greg did such a great job transitioning live music to great music for dinner. He served as a very understated master of ceremonies, which is what we wanted. Greg had a great sense of the room and of our guests all night. We had agreed on a general playlist and I loved it when Greg played one particular song during dinner. At the same time, he had the flexibility to change the music when he felt it was right. We couldn't have asked for a better partner.

Nick DJ'ed during our reception which was in Edgartown, MA on Martha's Vineyard. We had a fun bluegrass band from Nashville play during the cocktail hour -- everything was super relaxed and laid back --- the typical scene for an outdoor on-the-water wedding. But when Nick started to DJ, things got crazy FAST!!! I've never seen so many people pile on to the dancefloor so quickly --- by the second song, EVERYONE was dancing! Did I mention that this was at 3:30 in the afternoon?!? Serious air guitar and booty shaking in the middle of an Indian Summer afternoon. Nothing weirder than seeing a mob of people dancing outdoors in broad daylight --- but somehow it worked and we were on the dancefloor to the very last song. Nick played an AMAZING mix of songs we requested --- it takes serious talent and guts to play LMFAO, Psy, Rick Astly (yes, the 80s red-headed wonder), and Def Leppard during a single session. We had requested fun, new top 40 dance mixed with our fave 80s and Nick delivered. We received tons of guest feedback about how they had never danced so much at a wedding. Even the neighbors on the property next to ours were dancing on their roof deck! It was AMAZEBALLS! Also, per my request, Nick played Diana Krall and Elvis Costello all during the dinner --- and he picked all of their very best songs. On a funny unrelated note -- some of the dinner tables started an Elvis Costello drinking game where you had to drink every time one of his songs came on ;) I love live bands -- BUT, I really wanted everyone to dance like crazy during our reception. Bands can't always deliver on that. So here's my advice, have a fun band during your cocktail hour for an hour and a half and then have a DJ for your reception --- I promise you will be SO glad you did! And most importantly, if you want people to dance all night long, hire NICK to DJ your reception! Alice & Brant

Beat Train came highly recommended by several of our friends who work in the wedding industry - I'm quoting when they said "you have to use them, they're the best" -- and they definitely were. From the initial contacts with Ari, to meeting up with Pete O'Karma, everything was smooth and professional, and Pete walked us through the timeline making sure to get everything right and had really great suggestions on timing of things and music selection. We gave Pete a list of music for the ceremony, the cocktail hour and the reception, and he used it perfectly - mixing our choices with similar music selections. People were literally saying it was the best wedding music/DJ they've heard. One of our guests summed it up perfectly when he said "DJ Pete has the key to my heart and I don't want to get it back." Pete definitely knows how to read/play to the crowd and kept everybody on the dance floor for the rest of the night. Great emcee skills and musical knowledge. Can't recommend them highly enough. Epic ending with fireworks and Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. People were still talking about how good DJ Pete was 2 weeks later when we got back from our honeymoon.

My husband and I used Beat Train Productions for our September wedding and we could not have been more pleased! Nick Ferrington DJ’d our big day and he was absolutely fantastic to work with. He was a great guy all around and definitely not a typical ‘cheesy MC’ type of DJ. From the very first song he played until our guests were chanting “one more song” at the end of the night, the dance floor stayed PACKED; Nick clearly knows how to read a crowd! Even during dinner when music is often barely acknowledged we kept turning to each other in surprise and saying “I love this song!” and “how did he know this was one of our favorites?” which especially came as a shock to us since we gave him very little direction or specific song choices. We had asked guests what song they would ‘promise to dance to’ if played and we pulled a couple of those songs and suggested them to Nick. With only these few songs to go off of he crafted an amazing playlist which kept everyone (at every age!) happy all night. We would strongly recommend Nick (and Beat Train) to anyone to use as their wedding DJ.

Ari was the reason my wedding was awesome. In the planning stages, we just knew he would be on top of his game. He was prompt for every call, very efficient at sending out contracts, and making sure every detail was noted. On the wedding day he was extra early, setting up and making sure he had things in order. Everyone LOVED the music, and we got so many compliments on his work, mixing, and the selection he chose. Everything was fantastic. He really did make the night! Let's just say that the stars weren't quite aligned on our wedding day, and our facility had a few major screw-ups. When you put your heart, soul, and a lot of money into something, you want it to be perfect. Well the music turned out ot be the most perfect part of the day, and we all had a great time dancing. From the beginning of our wedding planning the one thing that my husband and I knew was that we wanted a dance party, and Drew Burrows definitely delivered! We are still receiving calls from our friends and family telling us that our wedding was just “pure fun.” From the early stages, we knew that we were dealing with complete professionals when speaking to Ari and Drew. We never had to wait to receive a call-back or an email response. Drew answered any questions that we had, and he even took the time to meet with us in person to discuss the plans for our wedding. Before the event he worked with us to help make suggestions that would ensure that everyone had a good time. This was extremely helpful. He showed up at our event space early, and our event coordinator commented on how nice and well-prepared he was. His style of dress was perfect, and he didn’t need to be the center of the party; he allowed us to be. His song choices throughout the evening were on point, and our dance floor was filled for two straight hours. He even stayed later than originally planned, as our reception started a little behind schedule. Overall, we were completely satisfied, and we would work with Drew again if the opportunity presented itself. He is a really nice guy, and he is really great at reading the crowed and keeping the party going.

I worked with Seth from Beat Train Productions and couldn't have been more pleased. An Italian band was also playing at my wedding and after not hearing from them on a couple of occasions, I got nervous that i wouldn't have any music and decided to contact a Beat Train to ensure that I had some solid music! The band did eventually called back and everything was squared away but Seth was totally flexible in working with the band. I initially chose Beat Train because they are unlike any other DJ that I am aware of. They will not come out with inflatable guitars and hand them out to your guests to dance around with, and for me that was a bonus! I didn't want any of that. They are very cool and collected and have some serious "swaggah". I wish I could hire them again just for fun! Thanks Seth! Two thumbs up from me and my new man! :-)

For our NYC wedding, we hired Beat Train and Drew Burrows was our DJ. They did a really excellent job and I would recommend them to anyone. Drew was personal, professional, and pleasant, he had a great selection of music, and most importantly: our dance floor was absolutely packed the entire night. From our first contact with Beat Train Productions I was impressed: owner, Ari, was professional, prompt and helpful. We talked about our musical tastes and Ari suggested a few of his DJs. Having listened to their mixes, we decided that D'hana's style suited us the most. D'hana spoke with us on the phone and met up with us in person prior to the wedding in order to get a sense of the tracks we would like played and the overall feel that we wanted. I felt completely confident in D'hana's approach and ability to read the kind of style/music we wanted. I cannot praise D'hana's work enough: every single guest at our wedding complimented us on the music and I've since had a number of requests for names of particular songs that were played. Everyone had so much fun and the dancefloor was full all night, despite the relatively small size of our wedding! The music was of particular importance to me: I love music and it is a large part of my life and I wanted to really be able to enjoy the music played at my wedding (something that is not always possible with your run-of-the-mill wedding DJs) - D'hana managed to play a lot of my favourite songs along with current pop and indie, and older music and mix it into an integrated whole that helped the whole evening gel together and gave it such energy and fun.

We selected Beat Train Productions and Nick to DJ our wedding in Cape Cod, MA and couldn't have been happier. Right from the start Nick was attentive and accommodating in helping make sure the music was what we wanted from Dinner all the way through to the last song. We wanted a fun dance party, and Nick delivered with an eclectic mix of 80's, 90's, Pop, Hip-Hop and upbeat Indie songs. From the first song all ages were on the dance floor, from 20 to 70 there wasn't a person sitting. We had multiple people attending the wedding ask us if there was going to be a "soundtrack" or if we could get Nick's mix to take home for them - that's how good he was. D'hana DJ'd for our recent wedding, and our experience couldn't have been better! From the beginning, she was flexible and easy to deal with. We gave her some general examples of the type of music we wanted played at various times in our reception, and she totally nailed it. She completely set the vibe we wanted! Everything was cool and quality - from the music to the presentation to the excellent sound she put out. We spent the last several hours dancing, and her music choices were spot on. So many of our guests danced (even the non-dancers) and later went on and on about how much fun they had. D'hana helped give us a day we'll never forget!

DJ Nick Ferrington was AMAZING! My husband and I chose Beat Train Productions because we didn't want the stereotypical cheesy wedding DJ -- no gimmicks/obnoxious announcements/etc. We just wanted someone who would play great music (read: no chicken dance, etc). Nick Ferrington did not disappoint--he was absolutely perfect. We worked with Nick to relay our tastes early on, and he not only followed our guidance to a T, he filled in all the blanks in between with an intuitive sense of what we wanted -- keeping everyone happy, the older people, our friends, etc. The dance floor was packed all night. He delivered an excellent reggae-only cocktail hour at our (admittedly unusual) request, as well as played a wide range of genres the rest of the night that we had asked for -- classic rock and roll, soul, motown, old school hip hop, indie dance music, 90s/current dance pop, etc etc. No shortage in his range! And he did it all with style -- bringing a refreshingly youthful & hip presence to the job. He was also super professional and helpful: He made useful announcements at our request (not shouting them in a tacky DJ voice or injecting himself in the evening when not appropriate). AND he even loaned our priest his mic for the ceremony (a huge help in a pinch). We can't say enough how pleased we were with Beat Train & with Nick Ferrington in particular. We would recommend him to anyone looking for an awesome wedding DJ and an alternative to the stereotypical DJs you've seen at so many other weddings you've been to...

Seth was the DJ at my wedding this past Summer, he was absolutely incredible. The dance floor was rockin the entire night, as soon as dessert was complete all of the guests started dancing until the very last song ended. We also had a special request for a the bride's father to sing a song with his band and Seth was happy to help out in any way possible. I would highly recommend Seth and Beat Train productions for weddings and any other event you may need musical entertainment for. They crush it as DJs.

We loved working with Ari. He was very responsive when planning our day. He was so accommodating on our wedding day as the equipment needed to be moved inside and then back outside due to potential rain that eventually passed. The music was incredible with a guest actually calling for an encore at the end of the night. He was able to keep our guests really engaged without being overbearing. He was very professional throughout this experience and we couldn't recommend him more.

Seth from Beat Train Productions DJed at my wedding and he was absolutely fantastic! People kept coming up to us and saying how great he was and he kept everyone on the dance floor all night! I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for something besides your stereotypical "wedding DJ." His music selection was fantastic and current and he also did a great job getting in all of our requests.

We hired DJ Rickey, one of the newer Beat Train DJs for our wedding a few weeks ago, and we were very pleased with the experience. We pretty much just gave him a few suggestions for the type of music we wanted to hear (motown, soul, etc.) and then trusted him to read the crowd and do his thing that night. He did a great job with mixing fun, non-cheesy music, and we had several people comment on what a great DJ he was. The dance floor was full all night, and everyone had a blast. At one point, we decided we wanted to do the Jewish "chair thing," which we hadn't planned with him in advance. Even though he didn't have Hava Nagila as a selection (not his fault, since we didn't request it), he was totally flexible and accommodating, and we ended up downloading the song to an iphone and he patched it in to his system. We would highly recommend Rickey and Beat Train to anyone looking for a DJ in the Boston area.

My wife and I could not have been happier with BeatTrain and our DJ Pete at our wedding. From the initial call, planning and wedding day it was stress-free and could not say enough about their level of service. During and after our wedding we got numerous compliments on our DJ many of which were "This is the best DJ i've heard at a wedding before!" During the course of the wedding Pete was able to keep the dance floor packed. He was an expert at reading the crowd. A few songs came up that we had selected that thinned the dance floor a bit, but Pete was able to read this and by the next song the dance floor was packed once again. I would HIGHLY suggest selecting them as their level of service, professionalism and most importantly DJ skills are second to none.

Nick Ferrington was the DJ for our wedding at the end of July in Massachusetts. He did an amazing job! My wife and I are not really into music, but we knew the type of atmosphere we wanted and Nick did a great job of providing it. Seth DJed our wedding this past weekend in Cambridge, MA...and boy did he bring the party! From the first song until the closer, Seth had ALL of our guests dancing like lunatics. And I mean LUNATICS! Everybody was up dancing from the first song until the closer...I honestly don't think anyone sat down once the party started! There was literally not a single song that cleared the dance floor - Seth read our crowd perfectly the entire night. At nearly the beginning of every song, people were screaming with excitement at the song choice...due in no small part to Seth's extremely attentive approach to the suggested songs and genres from our playlist. Somehow, he managed to play nearly all of the songs on our list, while mixing them in with other favorites we hadn't thought of beforehand but loved hearing during the dance party. Seth was EXTREMELY professional during the entire planning process. He always responded to our emails and phone calls quickly and with great, positive energy. On the wedding day, Seth showed up early, was well dressed, and was courteous to our guests during the entire evening. I have no idea how he managed to do this...but Seth got both of our parents to dance to Snoop Dogg, DMX and Kanye - artists that we love from our college days, but knew that our parents did not enjoy. Anyone who knows our parents would know that getting them to dance to this genre of music is nothing short of a MIRACLE. I am truly in awe. Seth also had some amazing mashups thrown in which kept us guessing and added some freshness to a lot of old favorites. In short, Seth was awesome. I cannot recommend him highly enough. EVERYONE should book him for your wedding reception, if you want to create a mind-blowing dance party that your guests will be talking about for the rest of their lives.

Drew and Beat Train were an absolute dream to work with on our wedding this past June. We had a really fun meeting before the wedding to discuss the vibe and the music we wanted, he helped guide us to an awesome party plan. He even helped me edit a cool mix of music i found for our Hora. When the night came, they were there early, set up quickly, and absolutely nailed it. They actually made us look cooler than we are. These guys were great from start to finish!!! Ari was always very professional from the smallest to the biggest detail. The Beat Train DJ we originally selected could not make our event for certain reasons. Ari contacted us immediately, informed of us of what had happened and proposed very reasonable options to resolve the situation. We were impressed with his honesty and his desire to resolve the situation. And I must say, we believe it worked out for the best because Seth, our DJ, did a superb job. He not only plays the right music, but he is a very sincere person with a lot of good ideas that he shared with us throughout the process. Seth was always available to address our questions and concerns. He was very patient with us when we were going over all of the details, including pronunciation of family members' names. I will always remember how at the end of event, Seth came over and handed me my laptop, despite it not being his responsibility whatsoever. My husband and I got married in June 2012 and we used Beat Train Productions as our DJ service. Seth Isaacs was the DJ that we chose and we could not have been happier. He listened to our every needs and was very accommodating. We didn't meet him in person until the day of, but we have phone conversations with him, which was just as good. He went over everything with us in detail and followed every request we had. On the day of the wedding he arrived early to ensure everything was ready to go. We hired Ari from Beat Train to DJ our wedding at the Four Seasons on June 9, 2012. I could go on for hours about how amazing he was, but I will spare you all the details and just confidently tell you he is the best without a doubt! "Your DJ tore it up!!!," was one of the many elated reviews we received from our friends after our wedding this past May. Ari and his assistant were hands down THE BEST we could have imagined. My husband and I are particular about our music but we wanted Ari to have creative license to do his thing and play those gems that you or I might not ordinarily think of, those obscure special songs that great DJs pull out of their back pocket and get EVERYbody (young, old, country, urban, whoever!) dancing. The result was AMAZING. We gave him our general "likes" and "dislikes" and he did the rest. The dancefloor was packed the entire night, and it was all because of Ari. He listens to what you want and he creates whatever music mood you are going for. He knows how to keep the party going, he is super professional and handles the mic perfectly for the announcements and all of those moments, he just goes with the flow and "gets" how weddings work, and he'll very tactfully turn down your Great Aunt if you ask him to avoid bad music requests. :) Ari was incredible. Our friends still can't stop talking about how amazing the music at our wedding was. We're thrilled we found this guy; he made our wedding.

DJ Pete O'Karma of Beat Train Productions was one of the best choices we made for the most important, happiest day of our lives. From our first meeting, we knew we liked his style, and he worked with us to figure out our music and how it would fit into our reception. On the day of the wedding, he was calm, cool and collected, as he guided our wedding party into the room, then provided a continuously excellent soundtrack to our day. If you want your guests dancing to the music you love, look no further. He incorporated all of our must play songs and artists while still mixing it up and keeping the party going right to the very end. We can still picture our last couple of songs, with our entire group of guests on their feet, dancing with us.

Planning our wedding from out of state, we discovered Beat Train doing an online search for DJs in the Boston area. We contacted Ari and got a quick response. After discussing our needs and time frame and cost he connected us with Seth Isaacs, who met with us in person during one of our visits to Boston. We could tell during that brief meeting that we had a mutual understanding of what we were looking for – a sense of fun and a party that would appeal to a wide range of ages. The music play list request form helped us put our thoughts together. He gave us some good recommendations for cocktails and post-dinner dancing, and we were able to put together a good, comprehensive playlist. Beat Train also operates Cambridge Uplighting, and we rented several LED fixtures for use during our ceremony and reception, which added a nice touch to both parts of the event. We told him from the beginning that we wanted him to follow the crowd and what they responded to. With the cocktail reception and dinner running long, we had far less time for dancing than originally planned, maybe about one hour. We didn’t have time to get through much of the dancing playlist, which ended up meaning that some of the music skewed older, or didn’t progress as much as we anticipated, and there was more Michael Jackson than we would have liked. But our guests had fun and danced from beginning to end. Seth and his associate Greg were terrific to work with, and were really helpful in moving lights and flowers from the ceremony location to the reception for us and kept things moving as we had hoped. They also were very tactful in denying requests from our guests from our do not play list. We would highly recommend them..

We have Nick Ferrington for our small wedding in Boston in May. We met Nick for coffee prior to the wedding. We told him what kind of songs we like, and what our concerns were. Basically, we worried that since our family and friends are mostly shy and our dinner culture is more like eating, talking other than dancing, the whole night will be very dry. Nick assured us that they had the experiences with different cultures before and we would be fine. After the first meet-up and before the wedding, Nick was very prompt with my planner's and my emails. He respected my ideas, but was also willing to give me his own opinions. And if a certain song does not work very well, he could find alternatives. On the wedding day, he managed very well between all the dances, speeches, and performances from our family member. Our choice of songs are mostly common, but he is able to find a Chinese song which I specifically asked for. I am very happy about the music at my wedding, so are my guests. And the service is also within my budget. I will definitely recommend him and Beat Train.

Out of all the aspects of our wedding, our DJ got the most compliments. It was more like a party than a wedding reception, which is exactly the vibe we were going for! Ari was easy to get in touch with and was genuinely interested in the musical aesthetic we were interested in. I cannot recommend him highly enough if you want your dance floor packed and if you're not necessarily looking for the same old wedding reception music. His style is unique and so much fun.

We found Ari after a fair amount of googling and loved his professional approach and his genuine interest in the music and his craft. Through his company there are a few different dj's, but we chose to to spend a little extra and work with Ari himself because his tastes just fit so well with what we wanted. Everything from the first phonecall was very professional and straightforward, very thorough with all the planning and details. During the party he was really great, adjusted well to our chaotic process and helpful in coordinating things. Most of all, great music and kept the party hopping.

Through Beat Train productions we worked with DJ Pete O'Karma. We were planning a wedding from overseas and he was very accommodating for our first meeting as I only had a limited amount of days in the States to find a vendor and start making arrangements. I felt at ease right from our first meeting. It was clear that he was an experienced DJ and I had the feeling that he would make the process as stress free as possible. He made himself available at anytime during the planning process for a phone call and he responded to emails right away. For the wedding, we filled out the DJ planner which was given and we also sent our own playlist of songs which we wanted to hear during dinner and many for dancing as well and Pete was accommodating for that. Also for the dancing he used his feeling from the crowd to choose the perfect music for all moments. We spent almost the entire night on the dance floor and I received many compliments from the guests that the music was great and they had so much fun! Pete was attentive the entire night and you could tell by the way he played and mixed the music that he was passionate about what he does. We would highly recommend Pete as a DJ for any wedding or event!

We hired DJ Drew through Beat Train to provide music during our ceremony/cocktail hour/reception, and it was a flawless experience. Drew was extremely responsive via email, and after our first in-person meeting, we were very comfortable with the choice that we made. We didn't have many set music choices -- instead, we provided a few songs as guides for the type of mood that we were looking for, and relied on him to come up with the actual playlist as he was feeling out the crowd during the night. Many of our guests commented that the music fit our wedding perfectly, and we totally agreed. We also asked him to do some light MC duty, which he handled well. Drew didn't get wordy/cheesy, and kept it extremely simple and on cue, which is what we wanted. Overall, a great experience.

Ari did such an amazing job DJ'ing our wedding. We could not have dreamed of a better DJ for our wedding. At the end of the night people were shouting "one more hour." Ari was a reliable professional the entire time. We got married at the Crystal Plaza in New Jersey and he played music in both our cocktail hour room and also the huge main dining room and it sounded amazing in both! We used Beat Train Productions for our New Years Eve wedding this year. I had done some research on the web looking for a DJ and saw all the positive reviews, which led to our initial consultation with Ari. He is really experienced both in the wedding industry and in the bar/club scene, which intrigued us. The last thing we wanted was some cheesy wedding MC playing the Macarena. We also knew that it was really important that we have a DJ that knows how to create an awesome party vibe especially on New Years Eve. Ari DJ’d our wedding and he did not fail to deliver. While he isn't the cheapest DJ out there, you get what you pay for and he is worth the investment. Very responsive to emails and phone calls, if not our most responsive vendor, he was extremely organized and easy to work with leading up to the wedding. During the wedding he did such an amazing job playing just the right music at the right time without it feeling like a cliché wedding. The dance floor was bumping all night with our guests of all ages as Ari spun and mixed tunes. Even my 95 year old grandma said she got “carried away” by the music and hit the dance floor. Friends are still raving about how good the music was. The night ended up being the perfect party, and Ari really helped create the atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend him enough.

We used Beat Train for our wedding because they came highly recommended from a friend of ours. Everything they said was true! Ari struck the perfect tone throughout the night, both with the songs he chose (based on our conversations) and between them on the mic. Beyond deciding who to marry, there are few decisions more important for a wedding than picking the right dj. My wife and I decided to go with Ari the minute we met him, and he was amazing. We've gotten several comments like "your wedding was the most fun one we've ever been too" and we think that Ari is a huge reason why the night was so successful. My wife and I love to dance, but we're not very good at explaining what kind of music we like. We had a freak fire alarm during dinner which could have been a mood killer, but Ari was able to get everyone dancing the minute we got back inside. We asked him to take my parents' and my husband's parents' wedding songs and turn them into one track so we could surprise them with a little speech and a dance. We used Beat Train for our wedding in October 2011. We could not be happier with the way the night went. Our DJ was Seth Isaacs and he had everyone dancing the whole night! After a long search we decided to go with Beat Train for our wedding and couldn't of been happier. Seth was our DJ for the day and we still get compliments about the music he played. Right from the beginning he was completely accessible through emails to answer any questions we had, he even took the time to meet with us at a local coffee shop for our first meeting. We had an outdoor wedding and needed 2 sound systems, one for the ceremony and one for the reception. They were able to provide both and sounded great. I chose to go with BeatTrain because Ari was the DJ for my friend's wedding in 2009 and I thought he did a fantastic job. Ari was already booked for our wedding date, so we went with Seth, who was equally fantastic! I got an extra confidence boost when I learned that our venue (the DeCordova Museum) trusted BeatTrain enough to hire them to be the DJs for their own art openings! We've all seen terrible wedding DJs who can't remember anyone's name/play inappropriate music/make everyone do the chicken dance -- have no fear! With BeatTrain these things do not need to happen at your wedding! My husband and I really wanted a DJ who would play good music, be able to read the dance floor, and not be too much of an MC or do lots of cheesy talking -- BeatTrain was perfect on all of these fronts! Seth was easy to work with and picked out a great mix of music that kept our guests happy all night. He was professional, punctual and set up his equipment on time and everything sounded great (not too loud, not too quiet). He did a great job getting the microphones to people during toasts, and doing the few brief announcements that we wanted (and nothing we didn't want!). His price was also amazingly reasonable for the great service! I would feel comfortable recommending them to any of my friends looking for a DJ for a wedding or any other party!

DJ Pete from Beat Train was a key ingredient in making our wedding the memorable, fun occasion we were hoping for. We knew we wanted two things: 1. To have everyone dancing all night 2. No cheesy songs or song intros That's why we picked Beat Train and DJ Pete duly obliged. He knocked it out of the park Pete was the utmost professional both before and during the event. He helped guide us through the sequence of events, giving us tips on how to orchestrate the formalities of the evening and how he can work the crowd with his song selection. He always responded quickly to any emails or calls with questions and when we scheduled a visit to the city he graciously met us at the venue to walk through in person. He collaborated brilliantly with our venue (The State Room) and helped support a member of our wedding party MC. During the night Pete was discreet when he needed to be discreet and then got everyone's attention at the key moments to make sure the night flowed smoothly. He was flexible with music requests we made and, get this...he can really mix. This is not a guy with a laptop and a standard play list who sits back to let it cycle through. He was up there mixing to the point where people commented during the night about his DJ skills. Your guests will be dancing all night, like ours. You will not be disappointed with Beat Train.

I highly recommend Beat Train and specifically Pete for DJ services. Ari at Beat Train was professional throughout the initial planning and contract phase and Pete was an amazing DJ. Ari also recommended the solo guitarist we used for our cocktail hour and he was wonderful! Pete handled our intros and all the formalities with ease and was accommodating and thoughtful throughout the night. He played the songs we requested and we relied on him to read the crowd in terms of other music selections – he did that “to a T” and had our guests dancing all night. He also graciously allowed my MOH to “co-DJ” - which was awesome and hysterical!

She was able to play off the energy of the group and there was never a time when the dance floor was empty. She also was willing to work with us to make a surprise drag performance go off flawlessly and allow my father to take the mic and perform Bonjovi on the dance floor. We hired Ari for our wedding in Sept 2011 and he was fantastic. We chose Ari because we didnt like typical wedding songs or wedding dances like the chicken dance. We also didnt want a cheesy DJ that talked alot. Ari was PERFECT. He played the best songs all night long...my guests kept coming up to me throughout the night to tell me how much they were loving the music. You cant go wrong with Ari for your wedding if you want people dancing and loving the music. He reads the crowd perfectly as well...when a song came on that not many people danced too...he switched it up to something better without anyone knowing any different. Also..he completely respects your DO NOT PLAY lists!! Id hire him in a second for any event that requires a good DJ.

I would give Ari more stars if I could. First of all, he's not a great wedding DJ - he's a great DJ, period. Second, he rocks. The music at our wedding was so great that a bunch of our guests asked for the playlist. Ari did the music for our cocktail hour and wedding reception, and delivered exactly what we asked for: a classy, jazzy lawn party followed by a kick-ass dance party that got everyone from my mom to our friends to my 4-year-old cousin on the dance floor. He was great to work with, super organized, responsive, and nailed our vision for the wedding. A+++

Seth was the DJ for our wedding, and he was awesome! Both he and Ari were very helpful and professional when we talked to them, and had timely and good communcation. We wanted to do a choreographed dance to a medley of songs, and he did an incredible job mixing them together for us. He played exactly the type of music we like and had our guests dancing the entire time, but also played the right type of music during dinner so that people could talk to each other. Numerous people commented on what a great DJ Seth was, and we would highly recommend him and Beat Train Productions!

EVERYONE Danced At Our Wedding! My (now) wife and I hired D’hana to DJ not only our wedding, but our Rehearsal dinner the night before as well. All we can say is WOW!! D’hana is wonderful! Music plays such a central role in our lives, was such a big part of our meeting and we wanted it to play a major role in our wedding as well. I spent days researching DJs and found the process really disheartening. So many DJs seemed focused on working big crowds, “getting the party started” and seemed to rely on gimmicks like handing out glow sticks and other props. D’hana is someone who is serious about music. For the Rehearsal dinner, I had really specific ideas about an all downtempo electronic music mix. I posted some tracks to D’hana and she was able to fill out the rest of the set list, finding other songs that matched the genre PERFECTLY. For the wedding itself, my wife and I met with D’hana and she talked with us at length, wanting to know exactly the sound and tone we were going for. We had our list of favorites (Clash, Ramones, The Smiths, LCD Soundsystem, Yo La Tengo), but also wanted a mix that would be fun for everyone. D’hana was able to fill out the set with classic Motown, oldies and old and new pop favorites. The dance floor was packed the entire night and people couldn’t stop talking about how good the music was. D’hana far exceeded our expectations and was an absolute pleasure to work with. We knew that we did NOT want a cookie-cutter wedding DJ for our wedding at the Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center last August, and we stumbled upon Beat Train when we were looking for someone to do up-lighting at the venue. We instantly loved their website and read all their amazing reviews and had to meet with them. We could not have been more thrilled with Ari, who ended up being our DJ for the night! SO MANY PEOPLE came up to us to tell us how awesome the music that we picked was, and we had to confess that we picked about 10 songs, told Ari what we did and didn't like, and he did the rest! At first I was worried about not providing a specific list, but Ari assured us that he could read the crowd, and he was absolutely right. An awesome time was had by all, right up until midnight! Might I add that the wedding was the weekend of of Hurricane Irene, and I never heard a peep of worry from Ari (or any of my vendors). Despite the weather we had an amazing time! One of our favorite moments from the night was right after the cake-cutting, when people were itching to get on the dance floor. Ari played "Bad Romance" as an intro to the dance portion of the evening, and it just sounded SO FUN and almost everyone got up to dance right away. (We'd asked for the song because Lady Gaga is fun to dance to and we thought it would be a bit funny to play that song at a wedding, but did not specify when we wanted it played.... but Ari knew that it would start things off perfectly!) There are plenty of other things to worry about when planning a wedding... choose Beat Train and let them worry about the music. Oh, and we did also have them do our up-lighting as well! We used Ari for our wedding and could not have been happier! We knew from the beginning that the last thing we wanted was the typical cheesy wedding music, as we both prefer indie-ish music with a little Top 40 here and there. After meeting Ari we could tell his music taste was way cooler than ours and we were in good hands. We gave him some "must plays" and other songs to give him an idea of our taste and let him decide the rest. He read the crowd perfectly and played a perfect mix to keep us and our guests on the dance floor. Everyone was commenting on how amazing the music was. He also did a good job as emcee, announcing things as needed, but not cheesing it up at all. The music set the perfect tone for the night and I could not have asked for a better DJ. He also did some uplights which really highlighted the classic architecture in our venue. Thanks Ari!!!

We can not say enough positive things about Ari and Beat Train Productions. He is a true professional. Extremely thorough, Ari took the time to understand the guest list, venue and overall vibe we wanted for our wedding. As a DJ, he was fully adept and highly skilled. Perhaps Ari's greatest attribute is his knack for subtly. He had our guests dancing and singing before they even knew it. His song transitions were appropriate and seamless. Ari provided a fantastic structure to the evening - truly the backbone for the entire event. We highly recommend Ari and company!

Ari was fantastic from the day we reached out to him until the end of our reception!!! He provided the music for my wedding ceremony and reception and did such a fantastic job. I booked Ari after reading many exceptional reviews. My fiance met with him in person to go over details once at the beginning and again towards the end. his level of personal service is second to none. Ari promptly responds to emails and phone calls and he's calm, friendly, and puts you at ease during chaotic wedding planning. His wedding questionnaire was detailed and easy to follow. It covered everything from first dance, to top 10 play list, do not play list, and cake cutting song to ensure that we were happy with what was plated. Ari reads the audience very well and had everyone dancing up a storm! He started off with some hits for the older crowd and then as the night went on focused on the younger crowd (which we mostly had younger 20-30 year olds.) We were all very impressed with his mixing skills. He also dressed nicely and looked very put together which is a plus for the whole ambiance of a wedding. Beat Train is great, really professional and easy to communicate with. Ben and Sam djed our wedding, and they were awesome, they played all of the songs and artists we asked for and were super cool and professional, not embarrassing and goofy like most wedding djs can be...the dance floor had the vibe of a cool bar or club, and everything ran really smoothly throughout the night.

Ari was AMAZING at our wedding! I have never seen more people dancing at a wedding, nonstop dancing all throght the night. Ari was very professional, he looked great, and the song selection was phenominal, I was very impressed with his compilation of songs and the way they flowed from one to the next. He hit all the songs I had envisioned being played, he picked the best song for the bouquet toss and the introductions. He is not a only great wedding DJ he is an amazing DJ.. Picking a DJ was very important to my husband and I. We viewed it as one of the most important parts of our wedding, besides great food, because we knew that the music could make or break our reception. We really wanted our guests to have a great time and wanted non-stop dancing. We were also very sure of the types of music we DIDN'T want played - almost more sure than of the music we did want. Finally, we wanted a DJ that would be in tune with the guests at the reception. If no one was dancing, it was time to change up the music. Sam & Ben, from Beat Train Productions did all of this and more. They were so great to work with from the early planning stages, all the way through to the wedding day. They listened to every need we had and delivered completely. The mother of the bride also had a few requirements and they were able to deliver on those as well. They totally understood our vision on what we wanted to reception to be and followed through completely. They had to Emcee the beginning of the event and did a great job. They showed that they were there to help us pull off a great wedding and really cared about us. They made us feel like they were part of our team. Although we didn't select specific songs for the entire event, just genres and a few favorite artists, we really liked the songs that were played. We had folks on the dance floor the whole time. We even had them play a joke on my aunts, which was great! The team of Ben & Sam was a little more expensive than some of the other DJs we found in our DJ research, but you definitely get what you pay for and if the reception is important to you, then they are completely worth every penny!

Absolutely the best. We hired Ben and Sam for our wedding, and couldn't be happier with the way things panned out. We had an initial meeting with them where we had a conversation about our general likes and dislikes of music. We filled out a worksheet to help nail down what songs we absolutely needed to hear, kinda wanted to hear, and under no circumstances were to be played. A few emails later and we were walking into the reception to Heatwave. They were so pleasant and easy to work with, with a couple of glances and nods we were able to cue them to cut our awkward first dance song, start up the mom's favorites, and get everyone on the dance floor. Without a doubt Ben and Sam along with Beat Train were the best addition to our wedding. You know that the DJ's are doing something right when there's a 21 year old getting down with the 85 year olds and you've already played 3 "last songs."

Ari was amazing to work with. He provided the music for my wedding ceremony, reception and after party. I booked Ari after reading many exceptional reviews and speaking to him one time on the phone. I live in NYC and my wedding was in Rhinebeck, NY. I was originally agonizing over whether to book a band or a DJ and I definitely made the right decision. Ari promptly responds to emails and phone calls and his calm and professional demeanor was refreshing amidst the chaotic planning process. My husband and I met with him in Manhattan one time before our wedding and we discussed our music taste and hopes for the night (that the dance floor would be packed!). After the meeting Ari sent us a music planning document that covered everything from pre-ceremony to cake-cutting music. I felt totally at ease on the day of the wedding. We received countless compliments on the music, both for dancing and dining. One of my friends who is a connoisseur of music was raving about Ari's selections throughout the evening and asked him for his card. At midnight the wedding reception turned into my sister's 21st birthday party and lots of 21-year-olds joined us on the dance floor. Wedding guests and birthday guests alike could have danced into the wee morning hours. Ari and his music were a hit. When my wife and I had our first meeting with Ari at Beat Train Productions, we knew immediately we had come to the right place. After asking us a bit about our wedding and our tastes in music, he matched us up with Peter O'Karma, who I have to say is every bit as knowledgeable and passionate about music as Ari. Working with Pete has been a total joy. From our very first meeting through the last dance on our wedding night, Pete was completely tuned in to our needs. He had taken the time to understand Jess and I as a couple, so everything he played was totally in line with what we wanted. He handled the communication with the venue, which was one less thing for us to think about. On the day of the event, he was incredibly attentive, without being at all intrusive. I was really impressed to see his eyes on Jess every time a new song came on. He could have faded out anything that wasn't going over well, but he didn't have to! The entire event went perfectly and our guests had as much fun as we did. We would absolutely recommend Peter O'Karma to anyone looking for a tuned-in, music obsessed DJ!

My wife and I had DJ Pete at our wedding and we could not have been happier. We took our DJ search very seriously. The last thing we wanted was your typical cheeseball DJ hamming it up, all decked out in glittery lapels, yack-yack-yacking away every chance he got and spinning crap. Pete was the best. He met with us well before the wedding, was prompt with all our requests, provided guidance and rocked the house. We've been told people don't dance at day receptions. Well we had the dance floor rocking all afternoon thanks to Pete. He was meticulous with details and we were not easy on him. Him and his assistant also had to carry all their gear up three plus flights of stairs because the venue we were at did not have an elevator and he never once complained about it or anything. He was classy and easy-going and we can not recommend him enough. He is worth every penny and more. Thank you Pete!

I totally recommend Beat Train Productions for your wedding. They did an excellent and professional job DJing for our wedding. Drew Burrows was super awesome at spending time with us to go over the music and wedding details. Not only did he play all the great dance jams, but also played a large selection of Indian music, that was flawlessly incorporated between the varying styles of music. We are very particular about music and we can say without a doubt that we made the right call by going with Ari Rosenfield as our wedding DJ. We knew we wanted a DJ but didn't want a stereotypical wedding DJ who would play Top 40 tunes. We wanted the entertainment to be a little edgy and if that's what you are looking for also, Ari is the right fit. What impressed us the most about Ari was his professionalism every step of the way and how his passion and love for music and for what he does really shines through. His understanding of music covers such a wide range of genres (from old R&B/ northern soul to Latin styles like Salsa, Bossa Nova, to more alternative indie rock and dance music as well as old school /new hip hop... just to name a few). He is comfortable playing any of these styles (or others) based on your personal taste and we really loved that about him. We opted to use his services for the ceremony and the cocktail hour and were truly blown away by how perfectly he planned the sound system to make the most of our outdoor acoustics (the sound filled the wooded area so beautifully, people are still talking about it). During the reception he made the right musical choices that pleased our friends and family and got them dancing all night long. Ari is highly skilled and knowledgeable. Music and keeping the party going is his focus and his goal, and he certainly succeeded in this. The music he played definitely fit into our overall vision of our wedding. He is great to communicate with, he gets back to you right away and is so helpful when you have any questions. Choosing a DJ was the most difficult part of our wedding planning because we are such music fanatics. Instead of the typical blaring music and annoying MC we wanted to create a more unique, relaxed and classy vibe for our guests. We interviewed a few local DJ's and were very discouraged until we came across Beat Train Productions and DJ Drew Burrows. We worked with Ben and Sam from Beat Train Productions and could not have been more thrilled with them. I was a little leery about hiring a DJ only because I have seen so many cheesy wedding DJs. Ben and Sam were anything but cheesy. They played the best mix of funk, hip hop and motown and kept the dance floor packed the whole night. We had a wedding budget that basically covered 3 things: food, photography, and music. We were looking for an affordable and non-cheesy DJ (which turned out to be much harder than I thought it would be). After scouring Yelp for days, reading reviews nonstop, and browsing DJ websites we finally chose Beat Train Productions for our May 2011 wedding. Ari was prompt in answering my emails and after talking to him we found out that Seth would be our DJ. I am somewhat of a control freak and had very specific songs picked out for each of my wedding elements. Seth was very accommodating and was able to find every song I wanted and played everything at exactly the right time. He also was very prompt (and patient) when returning my many emails. I was very concerned about my wedding being a daytime event and that no one would dance, therefore having a DJ would be a waste of money, but Seth chose fun and appropriate songs that had people dancing all day long. Seth and Beat Train were an essential part of our wedding day and I couldn't have been happier with Seth's professionalism and great music choices.

Beat Train provided the music for my daughters wedding. I felt thought the DJ Seth was very great! He provided the music we asked for and kept people up dancing during the whole wedding. We enjoyed the music but could still sit at the table and hear the person next to you without having to yell at each other. We hired Beat Train Productions for our April "destination" wedding in Lincoln, MA. After a few calls with Ari, we decided to meet with D'hana, one of his DJ's available on our wedding date. We met with her and were immediately taken with her. She is a pleasant, professional person and was amazing at searching her music collection, which she brought along on her laptop. We kept mentioning genres and artists we liked, and she immediately found something similar or, in many cases, the exact thing we were looking for. It was great to have a concrete connection on what we wanted and what the DJ was going to play. As the wedding day drew closer, we were late in giving her the "playlist" - and it probably wasn't the best guidelines ever. However, our laissez-faire approach worked because D'hana ROCKED - it felt like our wedding was at a club. I probably left the dance floor maybe twice the whole night (to eat and use the bathroom!). When my bride's father decided on the spur of the moment to have a father-daughter dance to a 1940's song (forgive me for not remembering the name), D'hana not only had it/downloaded it, but she also seamlessly introduced it, and then after one other song by the same artist, seamlessly flowed back to dance music. It was absolutely amazing and really highlighted her DJ talents. As per their web site, Beat Train Productions is not your typical wedding-DJ. If you're looking for a cheesy DJ that will "entertain" your guests instead of making them dance, look elsewhere. If you want an unforgettable dance party that happens to be your wedding, I highly recommend D'hana!

Ari was able to take our sort of vague ideas for what we wanted the music to be and turn them into great sets. I didn't have to worry at ALL about putting together a specific list of songs that were ok to play, and the music was awesome. I feel like that's why we hired a professional, and Ari nailed it. People of all ages (even my grandmother) were on the dance floor all night. I heard from many people that we had the most fun wedding they been to, and I credit a great deal of that to Ari and the music.

I cannot say enough glowing things about Ari and the Beat Train staff. My wife and I decided early to prioritize our music as that would set the tone for the reception. As soon as we met with Ari we knew he fit our target: laid back, knowledgable, flexible, the works. He did not disappoint either. I will always remember arriving to our cocktail reception and hearing the funky, bluesy environment we envisioned for the pre-reception. He just knew the vibe we were going for and killed it. Our reception was much of the same- Ari reading the crowd and playing perfect song after perfect song. The dancefloor was packed from minute 1. Ari is the best! I booked Ari after meeting with him and doing some research on other DJs. He's much more low-key and completely understood that we wanted a DJ who could read a crowd and get people on the dance floor. We had a rather small wedding of about 65 people and people were on the dance floor the whole night. He catered to our tastes and always asked me before changing something in the timeline. I HIGHLY recommend Ari. I wish I could have another event just to have Ari DJ the wedding. You seriously can't go wrong with him.

Seth Isaacs was the DJ for our wedding this past weekend. He was totally great!! He spent time talking to us ahead of time and getting a sense of what kind of music we wanted him to play. He did an awesome job of making sure everyone was having fun and dancing, and played something for everyone. Everyone from our friends to our oldest relatives hit the dance floor at one time or another and everyone had a fantastic time. Over and over, people told us "best wedding ever!!" and Seth was a big part of that. He didn't blast us out or annoy us with patter; he only did exactly what we had talked about - no bad surprises. Plenty of pleasant ones, though - he did a great job of picking songs we hadn't discussed but were psyched to hear. He was incredibly professional and very helpful and reassuring, when we were a bit nervous about what it would be like to have a DJ at our wedding. We give him giant thumbs up and would recommend him to anyone.

We used Ari from Beat Train Productions, and he was great! We gave him a very specific list of songs we wanted played and not played and he really stuck to it. He was very good at reading the crowd and getting everyone on the dance floor. We spent a little bit more on him because we wanted to ensure that we got a DJ that wouldn't play any horrible dances like the electric slide, macarena, etc or hand out feather boas--it was well worth the extra money to make sure that every song he played was perfect for the crowd.

Seth did a wonderful job for our wedding reception! He played exactly what we asked for the cocktail and dinner (I got lots of compliments on the classic rock/blues during dinner) and did an amazing job finding the right mix of music for the crowd for dancing! The dance floor was full the entire time - even the aunts, uncles, and parents. He was very responsive to whatever we wanted, and was incredibly professional. Above all, he is a very talented DJ. We were lucky to have him!

Ben did a great job in all respects. He was a very welcome presence at our wedding. He got involved when he need to be and was unobtrusive when he needed to be. He did a great job of both reading the crowd and playing the specific music we asked for beforehand. He was easy going, while being throughly professional. He worked well with the other service providers and accommodated our special requests easily. We couldn’t have asked for more. I would recommend him with no reservations whatsoever.

I started receiving praises for our DJ right after cocktail hour even before the actual reception began - that's how great Seth Isaacs was during our wedding. My husband and I loved working with Beat Train Productions - they were extremely responsive, professional, and everything we could have hoped for. Our ceremony and cocktail were held outside while the reception was held inside. Seth arrived early so that he could set up both locations and he made sure he had a backup plan in case anything changed. Before the wedding he asked us for a list of must play songs for both the cocktail hour and for dancing at the reception. Since my husband and I both have eclectic tastes, we had more of an indie vibe for the cocktail hour and a more traditional Top 40 dance mix for the reception. We gave him a few examples of the songs we liked and Seth built a playlist that we loved, loved, LOVED. He had people dancing all night long and a lot of my friends commented on how great the music was. I would highly highly recommend Seth and Beat Train Productions.

Ari and Beat Train Productions went above and beyond to keep our party moving, set the tone ( and not a boisterous blue tuxedo top 40 tone) and set our mind at ease as our wedding entertainment. Ari has impeccable taste and an extensive knowledge of music. He had the ability to keep the party going and please a cross section of personalities and ages without having to bore you or play the predictable wedding tunes. He pleased our Sanatra loving grandparents and our snobby indie music industry friends. In addition to his skill Ari was the most professional and responsive vendor in our entire wedding process. Every phone call and email was returned without a second thought, our paperwork was in my inbox before i came home from our meetings with him and he was set up and playing our cocktail hour before i had a second to think if he was all set found the place or had electricity. What more could a bride ask for? On top of all this Ari used his crowd control skills to put out a fire at our wedding. One of our guests had an accident during the first dance song of the evening and an ambulance had to be called. There was a chance that the night could continue two ways, the vibe died and everyone settled into a morose worrisome cocktail hour, or the party could be started up again. Ari not only got the party started up again but it went so strong so long that there was literally a chant for one more song at the end of the night. Our friends and family not wanting to leave the dance floor was all the sign we needed that the night was a success, the accident was an afterthought, and everyone had a great time. I would recommend Ari and Beat Train Productions to any bride looking for a little more depth and selection in their music than the off the shelf top 40 DJ and to work with a vendor that is totally reliable, professional, self sufficient...oh yeah and a really nice guy to boot.

Absolutely awesome. Incredibly professional DJ. Incredibly good music. Great DJ that kept the party going all night long. Never a moment when the dance floor wasn't full. Great mixes. Additionally, one of the only wedding vendors who actually responded on time and got back to us with a reasonable quote. Trust me--most wedding vendors will take weeks to get back to you once they get your money. Ari was super professional and excellent at his craft. Pretty much a no-brainer decision if you ask me.

Ari was an amazing DJ! He kept all of our wedding guests dancing ALL NIGHT LONG, including my husband's 80 year old grandparents!!! Working with Ari before the wedding was great - he truly loves music and was willing to find and play a bunch of older 40's and 50's jazz at the cocktail hour for me which really added to the atmosphere of our wedding. Beat Train Productions made our wedding a great one! Through and through, a professional and friendly company. Our DJ, Seth, communicated well with us leading up to our wedding -- and it paid off. His choice of songs for cocktail hour and dinner was on point. A handful of people came up to me during dinner just to note how great the music was. When it came to dancing, Seth had every guest on the dance floor with some classics that appealed to us and to the old folks. As the dancing continued, Seth trasitiioned into more modern music (as we had asked him to!) and the party kept on going. I may be biased, but upon polling our guests, the general consensus was: BEST. WEDDING. EVER! And the DJ was a big part of that. The key is that he listened carefully to our musical preferences, and then did a great job of reading the crowd. He had some great multiple song mashups and remixes thrown in there, too! He also let our bridal party request some crucial songs here and there -- which was a great bonus. Bottom line: Beat Train is a great company; Seth is a fantastic DJ. We hired Ari for our wedding in July - it was a pleasure doing business with him, and he did an amazing job on the night. We hired him because we wanted to avoid the usual Top 40 cheese, and it was evident he knew his music. He played everything from punk rock, electro, and britpop, and he had people dancing straight through from 8pm to 1am, no joke. We gave him a list of song suggestions, and not once did we feel we needed to make a song request, or have him change what he was doing. Tremendous.

Ari met with us and DJ'd for us. He was absolutely fantastic. Everyone was dancing all night long, including me and my husband! He took cues from us as to the music we were looking for, almost a "club" feel. When he saw that people on the dance floor were slowing down, he mixed the music and changed up the song. Ari was one of my favorite vendors. He was great throughout the planning process and really organized. He is really chill and doesn’t do any of the cheesy games or dances that some DJs do. He could really read the crowd and the dance floor was literally PACKED the entire night. I also liked that he listened to our taste and incorporated a lot of well known songs while still keeping it sophisticated. Our guests complimented us on him during the rehearsal and few even called after to say how awesome he was. I really couldn’t be happier with him.

Ari was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. I was looking for a DJ who would play music my husband and I liked (indie, folk, classic rock and more... not your typical wedding fare) who wasn't going to push me over budget, and who knew how to keep friends and family with more mainstream tastes interested. Ari was all these things and more. He was professional, kept things moving, and kept the dance floor packed ALL night. I only left the dance floor once myself. A few months later I was dancing to some rather cheesy music at another friend's wedding, and a friend of mine turned to me and said "I really miss the playlist at your wedding." I think that just about sums it up.

I'm sure everyone feels this way, but I think our wedding was fantastic. The food was great, location was perfect, everything was as good as can be. When I talk to our guests these days, the first thing they mention is that the DJ, Seth Isaacs, was great and kept the vibe going all night long...which he did. The dance floor was full throughout the night (I sorta feel bad that he so busy rocking it that he never got a chance to grab a plate of food). He totally picked up on the sound and feel we were looking for. He was in constant contact with us leading up to the ceremony, was able to track down every song that neither he nor we had in our collection (including a pretty rare instrumental), and did a great job on the introductions / announcements. We totally recommend him for a wedding or any other function. He was a pretty calming presence leading up to the wedding and made the music planning portion of the night totally stress-free. He also played a perfect music set that had top-40 fans and music snobs alike dancing all night long.

Ari was professional and organized, but more importantly, he created the kind of fun and celebratory atmosphere that we were looking for. It was a great wedding, and Ari kept the music appropriate for all parts, especially when the dancing started. I would recommend very highly Beat Train Productions for your wedding!!!

My now husband and I were very particular about the music we wanted at the wedding. I demanded that I wouldn't hire anyone who didn't know who the Smiths were. And we found that in Ari. He was able to mix my 80's, punk and new wave favs with music the rest of party would dance to. There was a few song selections that I was unhappy with but everyone was still dancing so I guess what do I know. I was happy I got to dance to the Smiths, New Order, the Pixies, MGMT and others at my wedding. I would definitely recommend him. He is a club DJ and knows how to work a room, which was super important to us and many of my guests complimented me on my music and our DJ. What more could I ask for? I

i would highly recommend ari/beat train to anyone who is looking for a dj. anyone! people were on the dance floor from the first song to the very last and had an amazing time. ari did a great job of listening to our requests/no-plays and reading the crowd at the wedding. this sounds awful, but we didn't want a DJ who would talk too much -- try to pump up the crowd and such. he covered the basics -- intros and quick announcements when necessary -- but then focused on the music.

Ari recently DJ'd our wedding and he did a wonderful job. He was very easy to contact prior to the wedding and went out of his way to ensure that the songs we requested were available. During the wedding, he was very professional and kept the dance floor packed all night!

Beat Train is fantastic! Our friends' band was kind enough to play two sets at our reception; where they left off, Ari picked up. He was excellent to work with from start to finish: professional, punctual, and detail-oriented. He was game to work around our band and came up with a set list that complemented their Brit-pop stylings. The dance floor was packed the entire night--a friend of ours actually danced the soles of his shoes clean off! Ari checked in with us through the evening if he had questions and did not make many announcements; he was very subtle. He played all of the songs we suggested during dinner (some of them obscure/eclectic) which made us feel like it was really "our" party. He also provided some uplighting. Ari really understood our wacky/indie/obscure tastes and his work aligned with it perfectly. He did his homework on the styles of music we liked and played tunes that appealed to all ages of guests. I would recommend Ari and Beat Train without reservation!

When we were first looking for a DJ we were both amused and disturbed by what we saw; cheasy DJs with gaudy vests, touting their thirty years of radio experience, with videos of them exhorting wedding guests to do the chicken dance or the electric slide. This was not what either of us wanted for our wedding, and we were quite pleased to stumble upon the Beat Train Productions website and read the extremely favorable reviews. As Ari so eloquently put it when he first met with us, he uses his skills as a DJ to get people to dance. Ari brings a new standard of professionalism to the mobile DJ industry. This professionalism was evident in every single interaction with him which included our first meeting with him, a follow up meeting which he initiated prior to our wedding, a meeting with our onsite wedding coordinator, follow up calls to clarify final details, and of course the wedding itself which he showed up 3-4 hours early to setup. For our reception, we had specific music in mind targeted to a 30-something crowd. Ari clearly understood our requests, but took them to next level, above and beyond our expectations. From the very first dance song, people were out of their seats and the floor was crowded all night long. We have received so many compliments from our guests about how great the music was. Many people commented on how Ari was able to keep so many guests up and dancing all night! It?s hard for one to be objective of about one?s own wedding, but a greater portion of the guests were dancing for a greater portion of the evening than any wedding either of us had been to. Everyone raved about the DJ and the music. We couldn?t imagine anyone having done a better job. Many thanks to Ari for making our night so special, memorable and most of all, a great time!

The dance floor wasn't empty for a second! We had an amazing time, everyone commented on what a fun time they had, I have heard more than a few "best wedding evers". Ari was a total professional, and very responsive to our needs and requests. We are music nerds, and most of our friends are musicians, so their enjoyment of the event is a huge testament to Ari and his skills!

BEST VENDOR I WORKED WITH!! Nate was our DJ and he did an amazing job. I cannot say enough great things about him. There was not a single moment when the dance floor was not packed! He read the crowd really well and everyone enjoyed the music. I think its rare to receive comments about the DJ and music at a wedding, but everyone commented on how great our DJ was. We also had an incident with our cellist coming down with the flu and cancelling 2 days before the wedding. Nate sympathized with our situation came to our rescue immediately. INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!! I would give him 10 stars if I could.

Beat Train is simply the best. We hired Ari for our wedding and he had everyone on the dance floor. He was so considerate and in tune with our musical interests while still making sure the beats had enough universal appeal to even get Uncle Tom on the dance floor. He was extremely professional and didn't have any of the cheesy gimmicks a lot of DJs use at weddings. He was very committed to not playing anything that was on our "do not play" list. We had a couple of guest come up to us and tell us that Ari needed our permission to play a couple of songs such as "Cotton Eyed Joe" or whatever that song is called. Ari arrived looking sharp in suit, skinny tie, and classic black framed glasses. He brought his turnable and his computer and set up everything very compactly in the corner. He has a natural read on the vibe and kept it going from immediately after dinner until they closed us down. Most impressive about Beat Train is Ari's immediate responsiveness and willingness to meet and discuss any aspect of the party planning as many times as we needed to to feel comfortable. In short, if you want a DJ that you can trust that will keep your friends talking for months after the party, Ari is your guy.

We worked with Ben for our August 2010 wedding in Hanover, NH. Ben was an absolute pleasure to work with. He understood that we weren't having a formal wedding and were not looking for cookie cutter "wedding-in-a-box" music, rather we just wanted some great cocktail music then a dance party. The music was fantastic, and really fit our crowd and particular parts of the evening. The dance floor was packed all night, and was full of people I have never seen dance (let alone smile at a wedding). Ben and Ari were really responsive and super professional to work with. I think we only gave Ben a handful of must-play songs--and the music he played was perfect. He also accommodated our friends and their loopy requests. At the end of the night, the crowd shouted "one more song!" and Ben gave us a Bhangra send off. I would highly recommend Beat Train for any event in New England.

I am so glad that I used Beat Train Productions as our wedding DJ - Seth and Ari were both extremely responsive and helpful in the weeks and months leading up to the wedding. They were very self-sufficient in terms of getting set up with my venue - which was great for me. I didn't give them much thought actually until I got to the venue and saw Seth all set up on the patio- perfect! I didn't give much direction on what to play, just to keep people dancing, and that is exactly what Seth did- I received so many compliments over the week following the wedding- everyone thought he was great!! I would recommend Seth for any event!

Ari and Wayne were both at our wedding and they did an absolutely spectacular job. Ari worked with us for months before the wedding to make sure everything would be perfect for our wedding day. From cocktail hour to dancing that lasted an hour over the expected time, he kept the mood perfect and the dance floor full all night. Ari totally read the crowd and when it appeared that the dancing would slow for any song he would fade into a song that continued to keep people going. We feel badly for the Mens Wearhouse that will neeed to dryclean the sweat out of the tuxes that we rented! Thank you so much to Ari and Wayne!

DJ Ari made us feel comfortable right away upon meeting him and was nothing but professional from the first meeting to the follow up after the event. He was flexible when our timeline ran over and even went so far as to help us contact the event manager when the power went out! I cannot say enough about Ari and his DJ'ing skills. If you want taste and class at an excellent price, you're going to have a hard time beating Beat Train Productions. Ari is the real deal, able both to step back in a self-effacing fashion (so that he does not make himself the show) and step forward as a competent MC in complete control of the action. He has excellent taste in music, knows how to put together a great bunch of songs, makes great suggestions based on your personal preferences, and is the consummate professional through and through. As for reliability: on the day of our wedding, he suffered some kind of car mishap. What did he do? He rented a car, arranged for his back-up DJ to be at our venue well in advance, AND arrived there himself a good hour before his duties officially began. If he hadn't told me what happened, I would never have known there had been a problem. Isn't that precisely the kind of DJ you want?

My wife and I were married last month (June, '09). We were planning a wedding on Cape Cod from Miami, and had 6 months to do it - no easy feat. Not knowing any DJs in the area, I began my search about 4 months out. I literally spoke to or e-mailed close to 40 DJ's in the area. Most were cheesy, ego-centric, out of touch or bossy or way over priced. Then I found Ari at Beat Train. His web site was hip, and we clicked on the first call and his prices were reasonable. He went out of his way to provide suggestions (we had no idea what song to be announced to), and trielessly provided suggestions. He also found and purchased all the music that we requested that he didn't already have in his collection. We were extremely busy upon arrival on the Cape - only 5 days before the wedding. In order to save us some time, Ari went out of his way to drive to the Cape to meet with us personally and discuss our expectations for the party. His suggestions for music were spot on. The wedding reception was a amazing. (I'm going to send him some pics of the party to post on his website) We provided some input on what we wanted to hear, but really left the majority of the decisions up to him. Our only requirement was he keep the dance floor packed. His dinner music was perfect - elegant, fun, and at the right volume. Once we started dancing, it didn't end. Ari read the crowd perfectly. In fact, we paid for him to stay an extra hour becuase we were having so much fun. The dance floor was packed the entire night - and we had guests from 13 to 85. He did an excellent job making announcements, but didn't feel the need to be the center of attention. Further, he was immidiately responsive to every request (at least from the bride and groom), be it for the next song to be played, or to wish someone a happy birthday. He will not give up the mic for rogue/drunk toast makers without prior permission. I can't say enough about Ari as a DJ. He truly made the night. I would highly reccomend him (and have) for any future event.

Finding "Beat Train Productions" was like finding an oasis in the middle of the desert! amidst all other wedding DJ's, they truly stand out! and certainly hold up to their reputation and skills at DJ'ing. I had the opportunity to speak with Ari and appreciated his professionalism. For our wedding we worked closely with "Nate" (DJ Nato), he was extremely easy to work with and very intuitive to our musical taste and overall vision for what we wanted on our "wedding day". I hired DJ Nato from Beat Train Productions for my recent wedding and he was amazing. The whole wedding was up and dancing all night long. He was very professional and took time to get to know me before the wedding. I am so happy with the music. I couldn't have asked for a better DJ.

Ari was an excellent dj. He goes over everything with you before the event and listens to all suggestions. He was punctual. He has a very wide range of musical taste like I do,which is why I chose him. Unlike regular party deejays that just download music from the web, he collects rare vinyl records from all over the world. This shows his immense passion for music. He also provided a rack with a mechanical dance floor lighting system that got the party moving. He had many different projections,which he can go over with you. Not only did he provide music, but he also provided mood lighting for my event. His backdrop lighting matched the decor of the room beautifully. Instead of hiring an interior lighting technician,a deejay,and a dance floor lighting projectionist, I only had to hire one person, Ari. Definitely a good deal.

Ari was extremely professional in helping us decide the distinct sounds we wanted for the cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing portions of our wedding. Despite our somewhat inarticulate requests (we want something that sounds like X, but not like X), Ari anticipated our expectations perfectly. Our cocktail hour was a festive mix of bossa nova and upbeat latin, while dinner was a bit slower focusing more on vintage jazz. Not a single song was cliche or tacky. Our soundtrack felt completely original to our event. And once the dancing started, it kept going for the ENTIRE night. I can say with complete confidence that Ari exceeded our expectations and helped make our wedding memorable for us and our guests.

We wanted our wedding to be subtle, elegant and hip, with a slightly retro mod vibe. DJ Ari understood exactly what we were going for carried out that concept flawlessly. A few months before the wedding, Ari scheduled a meeting with my husband and me to discuss details. He listened to everything we had to say, and gave us a form to fill out with any song requests, announcements, etc. Throughout the planning process he was very responsive to our needs and even helped us pick out a first dance song that would be in keeping with the tone of the event. He also invited us to listen to his work at Zuzu, which was excellent. The total opposite of the stereotypically loud, "cheesy" wedding DJ, Ari read the crowd perfectly and lined up music accordingly, rather than leading the crowd as some wedding DJs do. Aside from announcing the wedding party and letting everyone know that the cake was to be cut, there were no pleas to get people dancing, no YMCA or games. Some guests said it felt more like we were in a hip, loungy club rather than at a wedding. We received countless compliments from our guests on the music. He brought all of his own equipment and got there early to set up. Very professional. DJ Ari comes highly recommended!
