Benares (previously Belluchi's) was our caterer for 4 of our events (a prayer meeting, sangeet, ceremony, and reception). All of our guests were impressed with the variety. No item appeared on any menu twice. Our guests were excited for the menu and thought the food was of great quality and pleasing to the pallet. The spice level was accommodating to be a crowd pleaser. My favorite app was the eggplant and mushroom bruschetta. My husband loves the Mehti Fish Curry. Everyone loved the pau bhaji at our ceremony. A great indian caterer! The staff was great to work with as well.

Searching for a caterer was hard for me to do. IN new Jersey for Indian wedding there is a monopoly by one particular Indian Restaurant. I was afraid that if I didn't go with them, that I would not have the best food and everyone would not enjoy. But my uncle and parents convinced me to go with Jewel of India. I guess after food tasting three different times, the choice was simple Jewel of India was worth it. Not only were they reasonably priced but they were professional, their quality of service was excellent. I didn't get to eat at the wedding or reception, but they were able to pack food up for me and my husband and had it sent to our room so we could eat together at night. The venetian table turned out great from what I heard from the wedding guests. I didn't even get to taste test my desserts before the wedding. OVerall they did an excellent job at the Double Tree. IF you don't want to go with the restaurant that has monopolized all indian weddings, I recommend Jewel of India.
