I am writing this review without reading any of the others! I worked with Amar from Bollywood DJ's for my November 2012 wedding. For me, first impressions are everything! Amar showed up exactly on time for our meeting and was very professional, especially in comparison to other Dj's I had met. We spoke for almost an hour and I never felt pressured to hire him for my wedding. He gave me feedback from his own wedding experience which made me feel a connection to him. I hired Bollywood Dj's for music and lighting and they did a great job. Amar was responsive to my e-mails, texts, and phone calls and made himself available to meet me again prior to my wedding day. I recommend all couples to meet with their vendors at least a couple weeks before the wedding to go over the details and sequence of events. My guests (both indian and non indian) stated that he was one of the best MC's at a wedding due to his professional way of speaking and engaging the audience to interact. Furthermore, he was dressed very classy the day of the event!! There was a hiccup in my wedding where a couple events went out of sequence and Amar came up to me and apologized which is something I admire. He was able to fix the error by coming up with another way to open the dance floor without the guests noticing the change of sequence. I think it is very important to hire someone who is personable, professional and who cares about your wedding so I recommend Amar at Bollywood DJ's!

We are so happy with our decision to hire Amar and Bollywood DJ's for our wedding. They did an amazing job of getting everyone onto the dance floor and keeping them there all night! Amar worked with us throughout the entire process to understand the music we liked and the ambiance we wanted to create for the event. We had a fusion wedding and they did a great job of mixing Indian and Western music.

Positives - Lighting was great, Sahil was cool and sounded good. Negatives - This is going to be tough to really paint the whole picture. Once they get you in a contract, they do not respond often. I couldn't even get a final quote on everything until a week before the wedding. I got a Dhol player (no show the day of. "broke his wrist". Nevermind how many percussionists these guys must know. It was a mixed wedding so they couldn't find anyone to take $500 apparently.), Photobooth (broke after 50 photos) lasted an hour and wasn't turned until we told them to. You had 10-15 guys and they weren't organized. Ceremony music-- Because they arrived late, they didn't set it up in time and our venue charged me for it. Instead of giving me money back, they decided they'll just set it up unused because "there was nothing else they could do". Cocktail hour music --They hooked up a mini powered speaker to fill up 3 rooms of space. At least be clear with what you're getting. There was no music. The worst part is Amar will change the story around. He originally started with, oh sorry things didn't go right, I didn't hear anything so I'll take a look at it. A few weeks later that story changed to, X and Y gave me a call saying this, so we "delivered". It is funny how he somehow remembered things and said it was done properly. Only got money back for the Dhol. Should have gotten another 1k back. The prices aren't great. Basically, not worth the hassle. They are good for lighting and have the potential, but are managed poorly. If you have the energy to stay on top of them non stop. Then you can make it work for sure. ---Honestly, these guys aren't bad people. Stuff goes wrong sometimes, but I'm liable for my own work also. Hope this helped service moving forward. ------EDIT-----WeddingWire asked me to confirm my contract, I sent it to them, they confirmed everything and put my review back up.----Bollywood DJs contacted me the second this went up also.

Bollywood DJs provided excellent, professional entertainment service for our wedding. They are meticulous and diligent, and most importantly, have customer service at the top of their priority. In preparation, the event manager took the time and organized several meetings to understand our precise vision for the big day. The entire event went smoothly with the members of the entertainment team constantly checking on us, providing a highly personalized experience. It was clear that the various components of lighting, sound, music, etc. seamlessly showcased the team’s attention to planning and detail, which anyone would argue is crucial to the success of an event.

I worked with Bollywood DJ's for our wedding in July 2012. The company was fantastic to work with and very professional. Though you could probably find somebody local that could do it cheaper, they won't have the experience and skill that these guys have. I specifically worked with our Amar and DJ Sahil. They did a great job keeping the energy level high throughout the night. And they can tell what kind of music the crowd is in to and adapt accordingly. The emcee was a nice touch as well. Lastly, they also do a nice job with lighting to give the reception a refined look. We received a lot of compliments for the work these guys did. At the end of the day, people will remember how much fun they had at a wedding based on how much they danced and the food. With these guys, you def won't have to worry about the dancing.

Bollywood DJs were a great hit at my wedding! We got married at a museum which made it a bit difficult to set up the speakers in the various exhibit spaces we were using but Bollywood DJs did an excellent job! Sahil in particular was awesome. He really kept everyone up and dancing throughout the night. He was respectful, thoughtful, and double-checked the schedule with me multiple times. I would definitely want him to DJ a party for me again!

Bollywood DJ's made our wedding night!!! From the moment we first met with Amar, to the moment our last guest went home, their service was incredible and their professionalism unmatched! We have had experience with other Indian DJs in the past and were nervous about the type of service we would receive. Bollywood DJs sets a new standard of excellence. Our party was amazing!!! We had a mixed Indian/American wedding--all the guests loved the music, which was a nice mix throughout the entire evening of bhangra (with 2 live Dhol players standing on speakers) and hip hop, 80s, and top 40. The MC services were incredible, especially the mini-bhangra lesson for the non-Indian guests. They also did our lighting, which was beautiful-- the room looked amazing, with changing colors all night. In short, incredible party from incredible DJs!!! We highly recommend them to anyone and everyone!!!

excellent work at the wedding; EVERY guest loved them; not very organized and on top of things throughout the planning process; waited until the day of the wedding to get information and write down things that had already been emailed or told to them.

Bollywood DJ's did a close friends wedding and they were great. When we tried talking to them for ours, it was a little difficult at first to get a hold of them. There was a lot of waiting for them to call back BUT it did pay off. The wedding went off great. The music was fantastic. We only really had to give them a general idea of what we were looking for and a few songs to make sure that he had with him but everything, they took care of. They were very responsive to what the crowd was into. If they tried one type and it didn't look like the crowd was enjoying it, they would slowly change it over to something else that could keep everyone on the dance floor. From the moment the dance floor opened, there wasn't a time where it wasn't packed, all the way to the absolute end of the reception. I would recommend these guys to you but just be sure to be persistent when contacting them. It will pay off.
