After interviewing 4 other DJ's in person, we hired Enrique after only a phone interview! Even my conversation with one of his references clocked a good 30 minutes of just talking about how amazing he is. Enrique is a fun guy, who makes you feel very comfortable. I was relaxed and excited about our music (for the first time during the wedding planning) after we first met with him. When we were unsure about what we wanted, he gave great suggestions, and when we were firm on things we wanted, he didn't argue or put it down. When it came to the actual wedding he was more amazing than we could have predicted. He was all set up promptly, was able to fill in music where we hadn't picked any, timed all the songs perfectly, and boy could he read the crowd well! My family is the "we want to dance RIGHT NOW" type, and Enrique was able to see this and adapt to them piling onto the dance floor the moment the reception began. Enrique was able to deal with delays and changes in the schedule, and make everything run smoothly. He even had some surprise songs up his sleeve for my husband and I. Enrique didn't play EVERY song we had suggested to him, but that's because he was able to recognize what my guests wanted, and made sure he kept both my guests, and myself and my husband, happy! He did, however, leave out songs he knew we DEFINITELY did not want!! We are more than happy with the job Enrique did. He was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and he sure was one of the biggest topics of conversation after the wedding. Oh, and I will throw this last thing in there: Ed was fairly priced. I received quotes from SO MANY DJ's, and based on everything you would look for in a DJ, Ed was a steal in our opinion. However, price wasn't the decision maker/deal breaker - Enrique's professionalism was!!

Enrique was great to work with. He always met with us at a time and place convenient to us. He was thoughtful throughout the process of choosing music, and was very open and flexible to accommodate our needs and wants. Our wedding was great! We had a lot of non-dancers in our group of guests, but even so, Enrique definitely got the dance floor going! He even threw in some creative mixes of the music we requested. Enrique and his MC were great. Everyone had a great time and danced all night. We really enjoyed working with Enrique because he was hands on and responded to emails right away. We ultimately, decided to work with Enrique because we were able to meet with him in person, unlike other DJ vendors we were considering. We had a initial consultation meeting and then met again to talk about all the details and timeline for the wedding. Originally Enrique schedules two to three meetings with each couple but we did ours in one 2.5hr sitting. My husband has somewhat particular taste and he provided Enrique with a list of songs he wanted played. Enrique played the songs throughout the night and at the right moments. We found Enrique about 5 months prior to our wedding. We met with him once and instantly knew we wanted him to be our DJ. He was thorough from the first email to the first meeting to the end of the wedding. Everything went smoothly and the music was solid! He has great technical knowledge when it comes to his equipment and his knowledge of music was impressive. The coordination of the ceremony and reception was flawless! We were always given a heads up before he was about to move on to the next item (i.e. first dance, cake cutting, etc.). Enrique From btl djs was fantastic at our wedding this past December. He was professional, on time, and honored all of our song requests with ease. I was most impressed with how well he read the crowd--weddings are difficult and he kept everyone out of their seats. Great line dances, traditional favorites, and new stuff too. We interviewed a lot of experienced wedding DJ's in terms of knowing what to do from the cocktail hour, the couple's first dance, cake cutting, garter/bouquet toss, and lastly the party dance. However, my idea of boosting a wedding party from good to greatness had to include an awesome DJ who could mix music besides all the other important wedding elements. After all our time of searching I was finally relieved to find Enrique from BTL DJS. I strongly believe a DJ can make or break a party, and my biggest pet peeve for the wedding is to have music played from your Ipod, hiring your amateur friend/family member to DJ, or a DJ who causes the crowd to leave the dance floor. Enrique definitely kept our party going strong from the cocktail hour, to dinner, and lastly the party dance. He paid attention to the wedding timeline, and all the guests were able to listen to dinner music without having to scream across the table to have a conversation. We had guests comment about their significant others not normally dancing at weddings, but this time the significant others couldn't stop dancing! DJ Enrique is professional, smart, fun, and presentable. In one of our meetings we gave him a list of our extensive music selection of jazz, R&B, hip hop, rap, soul, and techno, and he had no problem making all the music flow together properly and suggesting songs to add. Some people may stereotype this music as just clubbing music, but Enrique was definitely capable of playing appropriate, classy, and fun songs for all ages at the wedding. He also remembered the type of music that I said was off limits. I see him as getting better and better. You can't go wrong with BTL DJS, Enrique knows how to treat his customers right and knows the skill sets of the DJ's that work with him to personalize your wedding or party event. They are definitely worth your money.

I am so glad that I hired Enrique for our wedding reception! During my first phone call with him (as I was interviewing potential DJs) He immediately came across as personable and professional. He as a great planning reception forms so you could use for your wedding. I had a phone consultation with him about 6 weeks prior to our wedding date to go over all the details. He took everything I asked him to do and did it perfectly! He showed up early, got everything set up with no hassle, and did a fantastic job throughout the night. My wedding was just about 3 months ago and I keep thinking about how much fun we had! Its largely due to Enrique and his partner Vince!! Enrique is amazing!!!! I sat here looking for some witty statement to say, but its really that simple. He just gets it. I wanted someone who understood what we weren't that into cheesy stuff (aka, line dances, disco and boring jazz etc) and Enrique very much did. We like all types of music ,lots of alternative as well, but wanted people dancing all night long. Enrique was very knowledgeable about music and had great ideas for us and most importantly, he innately knew what would get people dancing and keep them dancing all night--and that most certainly happened! I had a reception from 430-11:30 and people were on the dance floor all night, non-stop, for that WHOLE time. Unheard of, I know! My husband and I are very laid back but love good music, Enrique was a very like minded person and I would highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend him.

Enrique really knew how to make people dance - we still (a few months later) have people mention how much fun they had dancing and what what a great DJ we had first thing when they see us. BTLDJS was just a dream. Enrique was very professional, on time, courteous, and provided just the type of music we were looking for and more. The music he played was great but for a period of time people just kind of stood around anxiously waiting for someone to start the dancing. Then all of a sudden he started playing the type of music where people just all jumped on the floor at once. It was great! I had a great time!!! Enrique was extremely courteous, flexible, and willing to work with my wife and I, although we reached out to him roughly 1 month prior to our wedding date! His prices are highly competitive and he also extends his work into "customizing" your event to fit your needs. For instance, my wife really wanted "non-traditional" music for the wedding processional, and she loved some tracks she found on YouTube. However, we needed to convert the sound tracks to an MP3 file and burn it to a disc. We reached out to Enrique with our request, and he cut and pasted the track and extended it for our needs, and burned it onto a CD at NO ADDITIONAL COST! Not to mention that it sounded GREAT!! Furthermore, Enrique is willing to play whatever you desire, but at the same time, he is also very talented in "reading the crowd" and playing what will keep the party going and everybody dancing! Moreover, I really enjoyed the "personal connection" I experienced when working with Enrique. He is very down-to-earth and genuine, and there are a few lines that I will always remember when speaking with him over the phone in which he shared with me, that really sold me: "I want to make this wedding as special and memorbale, just as I would want for my experience, because I am also getting married in the near future! I feel all of your nerves and excitement, just as if I were going to get married, and therefore I will do everything in my power to ensure that everybody is dancing, vibing, and having a great time!" This was the manifestation that we experienced at our wedding, and my wife and I were truly blessed to have Enrique usher in the sounds of love, joy, and celebration on our special day! BTL DJS helped to create an unforgettable wedding day for us! We opted for the full DJ package that included LCD Tv's and LED uplighting. Enrique was great to work with. He took all of our suggestions, was very open to input, and created plenty of his set on his own volition, which matched seamlessly with what we asked for. Communication with him was easy and quick. The "traditional" elements of a wedding DJ were not provided, i.e., inflatable instruments, maracas, etc., but that wasn't the type of event we had, so I don't know if that was even an option. For those on a budget, or putting together a DIY event, you can't go wrong with Enrique.

I am so glad I hired Enrique to DJ my wedding. We talked about what I wanted ahead of time, and not only did he fulfill my requests, but he was able to read the crowd to give everyone what they wanted. He also adapted very well to last minute glitches and changes; he's very professional. Many of the guests I spoke to after all was said and done attributed the great party to Enrique. When it all comes down to it, trust him: he knows what he's doing and he'll ensure your guests have a great time!

Overall, we were extremely pleased with Enrique and BTL DJS. We had very specific requests for the evening and were planning something closer to a big dance party than to the standard wedding package which appears to be their usual style of gig. We were concerned a few times during the planning process that he wasn't fully on the same page with us about what he wanted, and he was short with my now-husband on the phone on one occasion. But in the end, the music was top-notch and exactly what we were hoping to get. He kept the crowd on the dance floor all night long! The prices are very reasonable and we were very pleased with his performance. Recommended.

We had our wedding on July 30th at the DUMBO loft. We took the package with the up-lighting, monogram lighting, slideshow and the DJ. Words cannot express how wonderful it was.
