It breaks my heart that Bubby's will no longer be doing weddings! After our October wedding, I'd recommend to ANYONE that this would be the perfect place for an amazing event. I honestly can't say enough good things about our experience with Bubby's. The food was phenomenal (seriously, we're still getting text messages about the food!); the views of NYC are hands down the best you'll get. The space is amazing, regardless of whether you're holding 75 or 200. But, the absolute best part of my experience was Tiffy Taylor. The coordinator there is simply amazing. She was there during the entire process, answering all of my many questions with such detail, care and patience. She was beyond helpful in the planning (timeline, accessing the venue, tasting appointments etc.) and went above and beyond when she was able to provide excellent support about some unexpected family drama. I didn't have to lift a finger, answer a question or make a single decision once it came to the day of my wedding. She handled everything like a complete professional and ensured I had an amazing day. Bubby's itself was a little pricey (still on the low end for NYC) - but the cost was well worth the perfect wedding day and having Tiffany on our side. We couldn't have done it without her and whoever snatches her up will be WINNING.

Too bad Bubby's will no longer be available for weddings, but this place was so wonderfully perfect for us! The atmosphere was exactly what we were going for (vintagey, kitschy, homey) so we knew right away upon seeing the place that this is what we wanted. Tiffany Taylor, the on-site event coordinator, was so awesome! She never gave me a hard time about answering all of my many many crazy bride questions. She always got back to me quickly, she was enthusiastic about us and our wedding, and she was really helpful whenever we had to drop off or pick up decorations, etc. Our guests commented over and over how much the loved the food (fried chicken, mac and cheese, and cherry pie!) and the atmosphere. The only slight drawback was that they had placed some restrictions on what kind of decor you were allowed to have in the space. But we were able to work with them and everything looked perfect. It was a bit pricey but for New York prices, not really too bad, and sooooo worth it considering our day couldn't have been more perfect!

Tiffany at Bubby's was amazing. She was professional, responsive, flexible and seemingly there for us at every turn, both in planning and on the night of the weeding. She was great and I would recommend Bubby's for a lot of reasons, including the venue, food and views, but mostly because Tiffany is a pro.

I had an amazing, beautiful, and unforgettable wedding at Bubby's Brooklyn. The vibe was just what I wanted, the food was AWESOME, the service was incredible, and Tiffany, the on-site wedding planner, made sure the night went off without a hitch. Tiffany was amazing from the very beginning. She had answers to all my questions (and I had a LOT) throughout the process. Bubby's just knows how to host an awesome wedding. They know what works best in the space, they know how to keep the night flowing smoothly, so you never have to worry that your guests will stand around waiting for cocktail hour, or that they won't be able to get a drink. The only things I didn't love were: 1)they have a rule that no one can get in to the venue before a certain time, so they suggest the Starbucks or another similar place to hang out beforehand. I didn't think much about this before my wedding, but it actually was pretty inconvenient for my bridal party. One of my bridesmaids was nursing, and when she was taking pictures with me by the water, her husband and newborn were turned away by the person at the door (it was chilly out - a November wedding). When the photographer wanted to walk around with just me and my husband-to-be, my bridal party, groomsmen, in-laws, etc., were pretty much screwed for an hr before Bubby's would let them in. When you're in a fancy dress&heels you don't feel much like standing around a crowded coffee shop. To be clear, Bubby's was very up front about this rule before the wedding--I just didn't realize how inconvenient it would be. 2) the Bridal Suite is a curtain drawn around a tiny area upstairs, so you kind of have to plan well to go to the bathroom/check your make-up before the ceremony if you don't want guests to see you.Neither of these things took away from how much I LOVED my wedding, though--I LOVED it & am SO happy I chose Bubby's!Cake was delicious&so was the Pie Bar!

Thank You to Tiffany and the Entire Bubby's Staff for making the most important day of my life perfect! The staff was gracious, professional, quick and attentive the entire evening. The food was amazing! What I love about Bubby's was that I was able to personalize so much of my wedding day, because of Bubby's unique venue. Tiffany was able to implement my vision without me having to worry! I couldn't believe how amazing everything looked and how the night went off without a hitch. Tiffany was very quick to respond to my millions of questions and concerns! Did I mention the amazing view of the city??????? I strongly recommend that anyone who is looking for a unique and personalized wedding, you check Bubby's out. The food is to die for and my guests still cannot stop talking about it! The pies were super duper. Thank You again to Tiffany and the staff. I cannot tell you what a great time we had.

Bubby's has been a favorite restaurant of ours for a long time, so it was a no-brainer to book them as our wedding venue soon as we were engaged. Tiffany was INCREDIBLE to work with throughout the entire process -- very speedy in her email replies and always helpful, and enthusiastic and ever-eager to plan the best day possible for us. One of the amazing things about Tiffany is that she made me feel as if I were the only bride in the world she was working with. The amount of individual attention floored me; we were incredibly well taken care of. And her right-hand-gal Katelyn was an invaluable captain for the actual event. We are so so happy we picked Bubby's for our special day. The food was outstanding (of course), the space warm and homey while still feeling elegant, and the staff totally awesome. Plus, we know we can come back for more pie on our anniversaries for years to come.

Overall, we were very happy with Bubby's. The space is gorgeous and you can't beat the view, which our guests raved about. We loved the food (we did the fried chicken and pulled pork as our entrees) and the photo booth was a huge plus. Our complaints are pretty minor: they had to be nudged to put the cake topper on the cake and sometimes, JoJo was slow to respond to emails. Overall, though, it was a great venue, especially for the price.

Bubby's was an absolutely beautiful place to have our wedding. Despite the downpour outside, it was warm and cozy and the views of Manhattan are spectacular. We got so many compliments on the food and the service. Carlos did an incredible job. I would definitely recommend this venue to other bride's looking for an unusual/special place to get married in New York City.

Bubby's made everything easy for us, and I thought it was a great value for the money - better than any other option I found out there! JoJo and Carlos were both helpful and responsive, and didn't protest at all about all the personalized stuff I brought over or the requests I had about setup etc. My only regret is that the evening was so short - they have a very set policy on that, you can only have the wedding in the evening and it ends at 11 (i think, can't remember now), and everyone has to get out of there. But given the price, the quality of the view, venue, food (really delicious food and desserts! and lots of it!) and their overall flexibility...can't really fault it. I also was totally impressed by how positive and enthusiastic they were, given that they do this three nights a week at least, for months out of the year! All in all they made it a great evening.

Bubby's has a great space in DUMBO right on the water that fit our 200 wedding guests almost perfectly (three tables on the upper level). It was the different, but NYC, vibe that we wanted for our laid back wedding. We got 4 hours of great food and service. All of the waiters were professional and attentive to our guests. Carlos, the event manager, was GREAT! Kept everything rolling on time and everyone happy. He coordinated with our DJ on timing of the meals and had everyone's food out in 10 mins. Jojo, who manages special events was nice to work with, she doesn't always respond right away, but I can only imagine that's because they are in such demand. For cost, we took the lowest package of food and beverages that they had and came up with just a little over $100 pp. We did a tasting about a month before and were treated to a great night out. We decided to do pie for dessert and they tiered the pie to make them look like cake, something that was very important for my family. Also, they have a great selection of beer on tap. Everyone was so nice to deal with that I don't hesitate recommending them. The staff packed up leftovers for the few people that asked, including dessert. They also called cabs for people to get home. Also, if you have kids coming to your wedding, they have video games in the back and for big kids, a photo booth machine! so fun.

Bubby's was absolutely fantastic. Our reception was lovely but the level of service they provided made it really special. JoJo made the planning process easy and Carlos couldn't have taken better care of our friends and family.

We chose Bubby's for our wedding reception after an exhaustive search, and we're very glad we had it there. Its being a restaurant meant the food, linens, chairs, silverware, etc., was under control from the get-go and out of our hands, which was great after talking with crazy caterers. The food was delicious, the location (with the bridges!) was picture-perfect, and the staff was incredibly helpful with the details of table runners, flowers, and the other various supplies we needed to have in place on the big day. We at times had to wait a bit for responses to our emails, but I blame that on its being wedding season; everything got done in good time and we never felt like we were hanging. They let us put up our own decorations and even make some changes in the standard bar items; all in all, we loved Bubby's and the casual elegance it brought to our wedding.

We LOVED Bubby's, and so did our guests! Great food, great atmosphere. JoJo and Carlos were so helpful and responsive, reassuring me during the stressful planning process. During the week of my wedding, they were so easygoing and helped with all of our last-minute needs. They complied with all of our little requests -- I didn't have to worry about a thing during my reception.

I don't have enough words to express how happy we were with Bubby's and everyone that worked there. JoJo, the event coordinator, responds to emails in under 24 hours (usually) and is nothing short of sweet, friendly, and accommodating. Carlos, the head manager, took care of us from the first time we walked in the door in February (he saw us looking at the catering menu before we chose our dinner entrees and offered us a tour) until the very last guest left the night of our wedding. Since JoJo had to have foot surgery last month, Carlos took the reigns that night and boy, did he deliver. He made sure we were fed, kept us on schedule, and moved the reception along smoothly and seamlessly. I was a tiny bit nervous to find out JoJo wouldn't be coordinating for our wedding, but he went above and beyond. The guests are not only raving about the food (which was freaking awesome!), the views, and the space - but also about the service. This was my absolute dream spot and it surpassed all expectations. Bubby's treats you and your guests like family.

Bubby's was the perfect venue for our wedding reception. The food was excellent (not "wedding food" - more like restaurant food) and the space cannot be beat. Our guests, many of whom were from out of town, were enthralled by the views of the city, the water and the bridges. Choosing Bubby's was the best decision I made.
