Butterfly bakeshop was wonderful! They have a great website where you can see tons of pictures and get ideas of what you want. I work long hours and had a short time to plan my wedding, so I wasn't able to come into the shop to browse or talk to a cake designer. This was a problem for other bakeries I contacted, but with Butterfly, I used the design-you-own cake option from the website and got everything done via email with the store manager. All my emails were answered promptly and professionally. Since I wasn't able to do a tasting during their normal hours, Butterfly prepared a "to go" tasting for me to take home and try with my fiance. Everything was delicious and I really appreciated their willingness to accomodate my schedule. The cake ended up being very reasonably priced, gorgeous, and delicious. I could not have been happier with my experience with Butterfly Bakeshop.

Butterfly Bakeshop made the most beautiful and delicious wedding cake for out October wedding. We dealt mostly with Diana, who was a pleasure. Everything from the cake tasting to the final product was a wonderful experience. We even changed the design of our cake a few weeks before the wedding and Butterfly Bakeshop accommodated the change without any fuss. The end result was the most gorgeous cake. And it was beyond delicious. We had a white cake with both chocolate and salted caramel buttercreams. The best cake I've ever eaten. I'm already trying to think of upcoming occasions to have them make another cake for me!

I stumbled across Butterfly Bakeshop when I was doing a search for inexpensive wedding cakes. As much as I love wedding cake, I just couldn't justify spending a bunch on money on a cake. Butterfly does all types of cakes, but the thing that appealed to us was that they offer a cake under $400 where you can pick from one of 5 or 6 pre-set designs. We had a tasting and the cake was delicious. A month of so after I booked the wedding cake, I contacted Butterfly about doing a Groom's cake for me. They were able to make a Bruce Springsteen cake that is an exact replica of the front of my husband's favorite Bruce Springsteen album. The cake was a surprise for my husband and he absolutely loved it! If you're looking for a pretty, tasty, and inexpensive cake option, this a great company.

When I was on the hunt for a perfect wedding cake for my September 2012 wedding, I used the New York Magazine listing of the top cake places in the city and researched pricing/ set up tastings for about 5 of them. Hands down, Butterfly Bakeshop was the best tasting cake AND we had the added bonus of it being the most reasonably priced. A bridesmaid and I went to the tasting and they had mini cupcakes for both of us in each of the 4 flavor combinations that we wanted to try. The tasting was free unlike some of the others that I had to pay for (like Momofuko). All of them were delicious, but I ultimately went with the vanilla cake with cookies and cream buttercream filling. We ordered the traditional 3-tier cake for 100 people (although it easily fed our 160 guests) with the ribbon band decoration for $475. We put our own orchids on it (real flowers) although the cakeshop does beautiful , edible orchids as well. I could not have been happier with the cake—it looked classy and beautiful and it was delicious. I could eat the cake by itself without any icing, it was soft, moist and perfectly dense. The icing was also excellent and different from the standard flavors that I’ve had at other weddings. Diana, the office manager, was very pleasant to work with—always following up at the right times (even when I would forget) and coordinated the drop off with our contact at the Boathouse without even having to involve me…which is great when you are a bride with a million things to do/worry about! I have already recommended this place to my friends and will use them for any other special occasion that needs a cake!

My wedding was on Sept 8 and we got a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream and bourbon-pecan-praline buttercream filling. It was so delicious! Many people came up to me afterwards to comment on how they have never had such a delicious wedding cake. Diana was a pleasure to work with...I put her in touch with my venue and didn't really think about it again until my husband (!) and I were cutting into it at the reception. The pictures on the website are totally true to life, it was gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. Considering that it was the best cake we tried, compounded by the fact that it was also the cheapest, makes Butterfly a great choice for any bride!

I cannot recommend this bakeshop enough. We had a fantastic experience working with Diana who was super flexible and helpful and the cake was amazing. Everyone commented on how delicious it was and we loved how it looked. Their prices are also incredibly reasonable--you won't find a better deal in manhattan!

I was recommended Butterfly Bakeshop from the florist we were using and I couldn't have been more pleased. The Office Manager Diana was a pleasure to work with. She was very professional and made me feel 100% comfortable that I was going to get exactly what I asked for. The wedding cake was gorgeous, exactly as we'd discussed. But most of all, it tasted fantastic. The guests as well as the groom and myself ate every last bit of it :). Thank you Butterfly Bakeshop for helping making my wedding day a success!!

Diana and team did an awesome job on our cake. I found them by various searches because I was looking for a more casual, simpler cake that didn’t cost a fortune. The price was just right and it was delicious. I’d highly recommend them.

Butterfly Bakeshop was the easiest and most pleasant vendor to work with. I had a picture of the cake I wanted and they recreated it EXACTLY. I also added a monogram which looked really nice, and again, was exactly how I wanted it. All their cake flavors were delicious, so it was hard to narrow it down. I ended up going with 3 different flavors for the 4 tiers. My contact, Diana, was really nice and so easy to work with. She always followed up and made sure everything was on track (with payments, delivery, final decisions). I also did my research beforehand and they were very reasonably priced. When you are working with a million vendors and have a million things to do for the wedding, it is great to have one of them be easy. I was extremely happy with the cake, as well as the service, and would highly recommend them. I actually can't wait to have another big party where I can order a cake from them!

This was a great bakery! It was absolutely beautiful! They made sugar roses that looked so real and were absolutely gorgeous! The cake was so rich but extremely delicious. I would definitely choose them again.

We got married at the Central Park Boathouse this September and were ecstatic by how delicious and beautiful our cake was. We asked for it to be classicly done with pink flowers cascading. It was perfect! Also, we went with the chocolate cake and the bourbon pecan praline flavor. It was outrageous! Definitely try it. Finally, I just want to say that Diana was wonderful to work with. She accomodated everything from my budget to the design and it was all seamless. Highly recommend!!
