The Cal James Orchestra performed at our NYC wedding in June and they were absolutely amazing. We hired the 7 piece band and they were fantastic. Our guests couldn't stop telling us that this was one of the best bands they had ever heard at a wedding, and we still get comments three months later! The dance floor was packed the whole night up until the very last song. The band was so talented musically and they played all the music we were hoping for (which we had discussed in great detail with Jim). Jim, the band leader, was a pleasure to work with through the whole planning process. He gave us great tips - from picking a first dance song that was meaningful (but easy to dance to), and helped us structure the evening so that were was maximum dancing time! I can't say enough good things about Jim and the Cal James Orchestra. (The guitarist also played an all-Beatles ceremony for us, which was beautiful).

Jim at Cal James is SO easy to work with and the band was totally amazing! not typical "cheesy wedding band" at ALL. people I never thought would dance were going crazy and dancing all night! LOVE!
