We met again a few months before for an engagement/family shoot and all the kids felt comfortable with her. Those pictures were beautiful. When it comes to choosing wedding vendors, you want the best for your special day; especially when it comes to finding someone to capture your day exactly as you remembered it. Carmen Rubio is definitely an amazing photographer with great talent. Her artistic style and extremely sweet personality made it fun shooting together, and the end result was a fantastic day with thousands of memories created by Carmen Rubio. She and her assistant were there to make sure we had some great shots, and I couldn’t have asked for anyone to have depicted our day as beautifully as she had. She also did an engagement shoot for us at the beach, and the photographs were fantastic. Carmen is truly a warm and personable person, and we knew after the engagement shoot that we had made the right decision in choosing her to do our wedding. She was AMAZING in every respect!! She also created a beautiful sepia tone photograph from our wedding pictures, which she created our thank you cards with. We got so many compliments about her photographs and her work, and even afterwards, about how beautiful the thank you cards were. If you have any doubt in your mind about your wedding plans, you can ease your worries if you choose to go with Carmen Rubio for your photography. Carmen was AMAZING!!!! She did an absolutely fantastic job on our wedding day. Every bride knows how important pictures are and we wanted the very best for our special day and Carmen DELIVERED!!! To start off, I met Carmen at her long island city office to review some of her previous work as well as go over the various wedding photography packages she had available. Let me just say; I was impressed!!! Her attention to detail was dead on and every couple looked amazing in the sample albums. My fiancé, (now husband) and I discussed it and booked her right away. It was the best decision we ever made. On the day of our wedding; we wanted to take pre-ceremonial pictures (which meant that Carmen would have to arrive very early in the morning). She did not miss a beat. She was on time and brought along her assistant to ensure that every detail was captured. (If I remember correctly; I think you got the assistant based on the package you chose). Oh, and before the wedding day, Carmen called to get the names of family members we wanted in our pictures. She took an incredible amount of pictures for the pre-ceremony (what most brides know as the “getting ready pictures”) the ceremony and reception.. Looking at the pictures; you would never know how hot the day was and believe me it was hot. We had a summer wedding (July 24, 2010) and it was a gorgeous day but definitely hot. If photos are important to you then you should definitely consider Carmen Rubio's photography. You'll love your pictures. One last comment; this is not all too consuming but certainly important to those in similar relationships. If you're an interracial couple, you've probably thought about the lighting and how it may or may not affect your pictures (more specially; if you’re a black and white couple). Well, I can honestly tell you that you have nothing to worry about. I am black (originally from Ghana) and my husband is Caucasian and that miniscule fact had absolutely no effect on our pictures. They were simply lovely. To sum up; we felt tremendously blessed by the incredible talents of every vendor on our wedding day and we are especially thankful for our amazing photographer; Carmen.

Gorgeous photographs from amazing photographer!!! Carmen is a joy to work with!!! She is very kind, highly professional, excellent with direction and attentive to your needs. Despite very short booking time (I was such a bad planner, I didn't have the photographer booked until two months to the date:-)), she was able to work with us and customized a package that fit both our needs and our budged. We live in Dublin, Ireland and found and booked Carmen Rubio Photography via the internet. Naturally we were a little concerned at not being able to visit her offices for a consultation until the week of the wedding but we need not have worried, we couldn't have been happier with the service provided on the day. Steven and Sara we're so professional and really put us at ease. Many of the guest remarked at how friendly they were. The album arrived last week and it's great to see the finished product, anyone who has seen it have said how great it looks. We would no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Carmen Rubio Photography to any prospective clients.

Carmen Rubio was more than amazing!!! My husband and I met with her prior to our wedding to review exactly how we envisioned our day. She listened carefully and took our suggestions and ran with them. She was even nice enough to scout out our locations prior to the wedding to see what would work best. Her creativeness really came through in our photos. On the day of our wedding...we needed Carmen to be our "little" ring leader and she did just that but in a more gracious way than most photographers I've seen. Most photographers are very much "in your face" and even though Carmen was in our face, lol, we didn't even know she was there and when she wasn't there, we wanted her to be! She is the first photographer we looked at and the only one we will ever use for any future occasion.

I actually was the groom. My wife and I absolutely love Carmen. She has an easy going fun loving personality. She is very professional and kept our wedding party conscious of time with out being rude. And best of all the the pictures came out great! Since our wedding, we have referred our friends to Carmen and plan too use her to do of family portraits once we start building one.

First off I have to mention that my Photographer, Carmen Rubio, came highly recommended when Alan and I were in search of a photographer. Alan and I discussed in the beginning of the whole planning process that we were not going to skimp on photography or music. We sat with plenty of inexpensive and plenty of expensive photographers, but never felt 100% confident until we met with Carmen.Her prices are reasonable; she is very flexible, easy to get in touch with and eager to answer questions and to make you feel comfortable. Our engagement shoot is when Alan and I felt the relief that we had made the right decision. We had so much fun and felt so comfortable we were able to be ourselves and she made us look good : ) On our wedding day she arrived on time and ready to work. I never felt any pressure or anxiety with her, her confidence really relaxed me. After the portrait photographs we didn’t even notice her or the assistant, they both stayed out of the way and got tons of beautiful photographs and didn’t miss anything. Carmen is NOT that “in your face obnoxious” kind of photographer it was perfect for us. She really is a great photographer we couldn’t be happier. Carmen was: Nice, efficient, fun, professional, punctual and an amazing photographer/artist and to top it off affordable. Advise for brides: Do Not Skimp On Your Photographer! You WILL Regret It!!
