Lori and Tommy are wonderful to work with. I didn't really know what I wanted and Lori and Tommy helped me with my vision and created beautiful bouquets and centerpieces (as well as corsages). My then-fiance started off not into flowers at all. After meeting with Lori and Tommy, he really got into it also! I stressed about many things on my wedding day, but I never once was concerned about my flowers being on time or looking good.

Tom and Lori put together beautiful flowers for my wedding day. There were several instances of miscommunication with them regarding what I wanted and the final invoice (which was all easily remedied and taken care of), but all in all, we were very pleased with the outcome of the bouquet, boutonnieres, and flower brooches we ordered from them. I had a very specific and symbolic design in mind for my wedding bouquet consisting of 1 white Casablanca lily, 3 white calla lilies, green cymbidium orchids, and two-tone dendrobium orchids. After discussing my ideas with them, they advised me on how to best make my vision come to life, and also for the best price. I had originally wanted the inner layer with the Casablanca lily, followed by the 3 white calla lilies, followed by dendrobium orchids, and then the green cymbidiums. However, they advised me that the cymbidium orchids were much more expensive than the dendrobium orchids and that it would be best to have the cymbidium orchids as the third layer to use less flowers, and to make the outermost layer the two-tone dendrobium orchids. They also advised that this color scheme going from white to green to magenta would be the more visually pleasing, as well, rather than my prior vision of going from white to magenta to green. Tom and Lori were both honest and very helpful about how to best keep the cost low, while also producing a visually spectacular bouquet, which is admirable for a shop owner. Tom also gave us a great price for all the flowers we ordered and even gave me free dendrobium orchids for my hair consultation and also for my wedding day, which was greatly appreciated. To add to this, they were also very flexible and opened the shop at 6 AM for us so that my husband could go pick up the flowers, as our wedding was early in the morning in Brooklyn. The flowers were both very fresh and wonderfully put together. Lori was also very quick and responsive by email. We recommend Cress Floral Decorators!

Tom and Lori Cress are absolutely fantastic! I was a little overwhelmed at first because I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to articulate what I was looking for, but Tom and Lori were so nice and they helped me figure out what I wanted. Actually, as soon as Tom saw a photo of my dress he knew exactly what I was looking for - I didn't even have to say it! It's very easy to brainstorm and have a conversation with them, but they are also extremely accommodating if there is something you know you definitely want or don't want. I never felt any pressure. They have photos of everything they do, so it's very easy to get ideas. Another thing I loved was that they don't show you examples of what your display "might" look like - they show you exactly. They do all of their work on site so Tom was actually making up samples while we spoke about what I was looking for. It was awesome! I was so happy and impressed with everything they did. From my bouquet to the boutonnieres to the centerpieces, everything was gorgeous.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Cress Florist. Every time I met with Tommy and Lori, my needs were attended to. The welcoming, warm and family feel that I experienced what truly amazing. The flowers came out better than I ever could have imagined or described. We hired Cress Floral Decorators for our wedding in Brooklyn in September 2012. We met with both Lori and Tom several times throughout the process, and they even came out to our venue twice (a bit of a drive from Queens where they're based) to make sure that everything would be setup correctly on the big day. Based on reviews from wedding wire I booked Cress Floral Decorators. They were amazing! They did all the of the floral arrangements for the bridal party and reception. Quality: the arrangements blew my guests away! They had created samples for us, but I feel that the arrangements were prettier the day of. Lori and Tom are also very receptive to your budget. I feel as though they truly care about making your day beautiful and offering quality. Responsiveness: It is as though Lori never sleeps! She always responded to my emails and multitude of changes. They also offered wonderful tips and suggestions. Only negative: They forgot to include my throw away bouquet. My bouquet was so beautiful I just skipped the bouquet tossing. The cress' did a fabulous job for my wedding. From start to finish they helped me develop a gorgeous theme for my wedding, showing me samples of everything they would create along the way. The centerpieces were so tasteful and I got more complements on flowers than anything else except for my dress perhaps! They build an arch for the ceremony which I could not find anywhere online but was exactly what I had envisioned! I would recommend cress flowers to anyone.

Lori and Tom Cress from Cress Floral Decorators were nothing but exceptional! What set Cress apart from the rest of the florists we met with was the fact that they were able to show us (roughly) what our bouquets, bouts, and centerpieces would look like at the first meeting. We met with about five florists and many would not show us any flowers until we signed a contract with them. Other florists did not even let us look at any flowers until we paid a down payment! Cress did not have to pitch their company to us. They let their talent and service do the talking for them. Their prices were also very reasonable in comparison to their outstanding service and gorgeous arrangements. There were no hidden fees like there often are with other florists. I was floored when I saw the samples of centerpieces and the bridal bouquet. The arrangements were unique, sophisticated, and beautiful. Tom Cress is a mad genius when it comes to floral decorating. Cress gave us ample time to make alterations or suggestions after viewing the sample. Cress is also able to wrap the bride's bouquet in any pieces of the wedding gown left over from alteration. Throughout the planning process, Lori was extremely responsive to my questions. I liked that they were always reachable via email, since our jobs make it hard to make a phone call. Cress was able to add extra corsages and boutonnieres to my contract up to a week before the wedding. After the wedding ceremony, I received many compliments on my bouquet. I could not have imagined a more fitting design for the bouquet to fit with my vintage-themed wedding. I cannot take credit for thinking up the bouquet design. This was all Tom Cress. When I saw the set up in our reception hall, I was amazed to see how wonderfully everything was set up and how closely Cress paid attention to our wants and vision...though after our smooth working relationship over the course of seven months, I was not surprised. The flowers stood the test of time, still looking just as they did when they arrived--even when we woke up the next morning!! Cress Floral Decorators are definitely a hit. Do not waste your time with other florists!

STUNNING WORK!!!! LOVED THEM!!! Lori and Tom did a beautiful job with our flowers, the colors were absolutely stunning. Lori knew what colors to use for my girls without even seeing the dress color, I had a locket for my dad on my flowers and it was breathtaking! Made me cry! My husband and I had a budget and Tom and Lori stayed with in the budget and we couldn't believe the flowers when they showed up in my suite!. I would use them again and again! My fiance and I took a trip to Cress in what we thought was going to be a day of seeing florists. We had two appointments with other florists after and cancelled those appts as soon as we walked out of Cress Floral Decorators. We met with the owners who are a really sweet couple, and they did not scoff at the price we were willing to pay. With a little flower budget, enormous bridal party and 265 invited guests, they made miracles happen. They are beyond accommodating. I often sent ideas/pictures of what I liked to Lori and she'd email me back right away and save them in my file. She would also sent pictures back to me of what she thought I'd like. What more can you ask for? She never made me feel like I was one in a million brides that walk through her door throughout the year. She makes you feel important. This is a family run business the way that you would hope and expect a business to be run. They take pride in their work, they respect their customers, and they ultimately want you to be happy. They work within any budget to give you the best bang for your buck. If you are having a wedding in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Long Island, etc., please schedule an appt with this florist. Having never met either the bride or her sister, I sent them photos for inspiration and even ordered special colored flowers including coral roses and purple lisianthis so I could put color combos together for the bridesmaids bouquets and bridal bouquet, I took photos and emailed everything. We had quite a few 3 way conversations and in the end, the bride was so happy with everything. As far as value,not only were our pricing very fair, their personal flowers had to be delivered to a hotel way uptown Manhattan on the West side (which was not told to me until a few days before) and then we had to decorate the yacht downtown on the East side...The initial delivery charge was nominal, and I did not even increase it when I found out about the uptown delivery. I did receive a wonderful email from the bride thanking me for everything and that she was so happy! In the end, that is all that counts to us!

Im so happy i picked Cress Florist for my wedding they made our special day most beautiful! Before our wedding day June 1st me and my mother in law went to Lori and her husband to talk about the flower arrangements and they were so accomadating and really took their time in showing us the different options, they even made a sample centerpiece, bouquet, e.t.c right then an there so i could look at their work not only on pictures. First of all I want to say this: I want to rate Cress Floral TEN OUT OF FIVE. They are that good. We had a May 13th (2012) wedding, which is mothers day and obviously it was hard to find a florist that would want to work on a wedding on that day. However, Tommy and Lori was so kind enough to work on our wedding. We actually looked at many florist all over Queens and Long Island, and we chose Tommy and Lori at Cress Floral because they're the most awesome human beings ever. My wife and I had some idea of what we want for our wedding, but honestly we were overwhelmed with types of flowers, theme color and other wedding stuff (photography, video, cake, dress, etc.). We made an appointment to see Tommy and Lori, and from the moment we met them we loved them so much. They're seriously one of the sweetest people we've met in our lives. Going back to the good stuff: 1) They're always flexible and willing to meet you to discuss what you want. And most importantly they always keep their promises. 2) Tommy will demand to see your dress and the groomsmen's suits to get a sense of style and color required for the bouquets and boutonnieres. Tommy has an amazing sense of style, taste and color coordination. LISTEN TO HIM. Also you might want to ask him for his honest advice. At times he will give you what you want, but he might not really vibe with your choice. That's because he's so nice. After much searching I decided to choose Tom and Lori from Cress Floral Decorators to design the floral arrangements for my 1902s Gatsby-esque wedding. From our first meeting the couple spent a lot of time to hear out my visions for the big day. They are mindful of my budget and fully disclose if they believed my choices were going to push me over. From the start the dynamic duo were entirely professional, Tom and Lori together handle the conceptual and decorative aspects of the floral preparations, which in this case, were not your cookie cutter flower requests. I wanted flowers that would turn my venue into a real live 1920s party and the event did truly looked like it was out of time. I decided to mix up the designs of my flowers. Half were tall and the other half table level. I used creme color roses with hydranga and an accent of black magic roses on gold pedestals with hanging crystals or within a gold bowl. Both really accented the theme well. One of my bigest requests were that my bouquet be made of a combination of broches and flowers. I spent months collecting antique brooches from friends and family. I attached them to fish wire and by the end I had no clue how to hold all the brooches together. I handed over 50+ brooches to Tom and Lori and they took charge. I was expecting something nice, but never expect the level of sheer elegance that they created. My bouquet received endless compliments, entirely graceful with a little edge. I want to again thank Tom and Lori and the entire crew at Cress Floral Decorators for their dedication to making my wedding as prefect as it could have been. I highly recommend you choose them for your next event.

My flowers were so gorgeous from Cress, and we could not have been happier with this business. They put a tube of water hidden inside all the flowers so that they stay fresh all night and then some! They were suppose to meet their son in California to go on vacation on Friday but realized they both wanted to be at our wedding day, Sunday, October 23. They decided to leave first thing Monday. Cress Floral did a SPECTACULAR job with the floral arrangements at my wedding that took place at Fifth Avenue Empire Penthouse in NYC. From the ceremony flowers at the church to the beautiful bouquets/bouitinnerres, to the unique and whimsical centerpieces at my reception (Tall Crystal Tree w/orchids for the escort card table, Willow Trees w/roses and crystals for the centerpieces, Tall and short gorgeous centerpieces to the sweetheart table. When my husband and I walked into the reception room, we were blown away with the whimsical and elegant atmosphere. Lori and Tom visited met me at the reception place and a few days later they invited me to the florist shop to show me examples of their creations. I fell in love with all their arrangements immediately. My guests and bridal party can't stop talking about how gorgeous everything was at our wedding. We got married at Bridewaters downtown. Cress Florist did our flowers and we absolutely loved them. Tom, the owner, was so helpful and creative! He made great suggestions and had ideas that I would never have thought of. I was so happy with their service. and would recommend everyone I know to use cress florist. Thomas and Lori are truly amazing and so talented. I have to say that I was a little nervous because I was getting married on Mother's Day weekend and florists are so busy and I really didn't want anything to be mixed up or forgotten on such a hectic weekend, but I couldn't have asked for fresher, prettier flowers! There was one misunderstanding though about the delivery of the personal flowers. The guy that delivered went to my house when we were at the reception hall, but when he arrived to the reception hall he came with a smile on and was not mad at all which made me feel better because i felt so bad about the confusion. And the price was great. I know wedding flowers can cost almost as much as the reception hall sometimes. Cress was so reasonable and the service was AMAZING! Thank You!!!

Cress Floral Decorators were great to work with. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a good value on flowers for a NYC area wedding. We were able to stick to our budget and they made the most beautiful Chuppah we had ever seen - our guests are still talking about it. I sent them a picture of the bridal bouquet that I wanted to carry and they made me exactly that - it was perfect. They also provided beautiful aisle decor (white branches and candles for our winter wedding) and lovely table centerpieces. Overally, it was a wonderful experience working with them.

The bouquets and centerpieces were gorgeous. I've been to weddings where towards the end of the reception the flowers were wilted, but not with Cress. The flowers all looked exactly the same as when they first arrived. Tommy suggested colors and flowers that worked perfectly. He took what was in my mind and created it. Great experience

My flowers were absolutely spectacular! I could have not imagined a more beautiful bouquet. My maid of honor bouquet was amazing and coordinated perfectly with mine. My husband and I could not be more thrilled with the service, professionalism, and, of course, the flowers provided by Tom Cress and his staff for our wedding. Tom was so patient meeting with us and discussing our vision for our wedding. His knowledge and creativity are second to none. He really captured the look and feel that we were going for. From my bouquet to the bridal party's flowers to the centerpieces, the flowers were nothing short of stunning. Even the flowers I wore in my hair looked fresh and perfect throughout the evening. My husband surprised me by contacting Tom to order two dozen white roses for me as a wedding morning surprise for me. They were gorgeous! I loved how they design the flowers for my wedding. The color was White and red. We gotten Red flowers which are roses and white flowers which are Winter roses. The roses seem very good and they all smell very good. The smell seems like it just got picked off a garden fresh!

Well, to be truthful, this was not my first time around. Nor was it for my wife. Neither my child bride nor I are spring chickens. At 50 plus, we were happy, but kind of blase about our wedding. Somehow, Tom and Laurie managed to make us both feel young, and in love, and excited about our future together. The flowers were so beautiful, and they added a real touch of intimacy to the occasion. These people have a special touch; I felt like they had put their heart into each bouquet or table decoration. I felt like they cared. They brought out the chemistry of the wedding, and helped to make it one of our happiest memories.
