We made a great decision when we chose David Josephs to cater our wedding last October. From our first meeting Joseph was a pleasure to work with. He listened to our ideas and added his own to put together a complete plan for our event, working within our budget. When any problems came up, as they always will, he was there with a solution and a calming presence making sure that we were totally satisfied. Working with Joseph and chef David we created a delicious menu with a great assortment of hors d'oeuvres for our cocktail hour. The dinner included some special ethnic dishes we requested and the food quality was the best! The staff was professional and went out of their way to make our guests comfortable. Our experience with David Josephs was first rate and we would highly recommend them.

Where to begin, from our first meeting, to the planning leading up to our wedding day they were amazing. The service, food and presentation surpassed all my expectations! . All of my guests wanted to know who they were! Every twist and turn they worked with us on our vision for our big day and made it come to reality. The personalized service, never being made to feel like just another bride and always taking ALL of my calls.. There aren't enough ways to express our gratitude for making our wedding a day perfect.

I just got married in my back yard on October 1st, hosting 160 people. It's always been my dream to get married at home but once the process starts, you realize that what you're essentially doing is building a restaurant. The details can pretty overwhelming what with everything else you have to do. Once I hired David Josephs, it was if a huge responsibility had been taken away from me. They think of every last detail. They have impeccable taste and an ability to "see" your event and how exactly it will unfold. They were even able to talk me out of a few things they said I would not need and they were exactly right, saving me money to boot. The owners are so down to earth and easy to talk to, you really feel taken care of and almost like good friends from the start. And then there's the food. Six weeks later and I can't go into the post office or the supermarket or anywhere in the town I live without someone commenting on the food. Our appetizers were so over the top perfect and delicious and beautiful, it was like being in a four star restaurant. Oftentimes, the presentation or the "fancy" nature of an hors d'oeuvre takes the place of taste. Not so with these guys. Every bite everyone took was followed with that look you give to the person next to you that says, "oh my God." The cocktail party food ranged from dumplings in tiny Chinese take out containers with their own chopsticks, to tuna sashimi on crisps to buffalo style mini meatballs to a variety of gourmet cheeses grilled on tiny sourdough squares and a variety of others. They have A LOT to choose from. Everything was passed and looking lovely on white trays with fresh flower garnishes. It was always HOT and that's hard to pull off when you're working outside. Insofar as dinner is concerned, we had requested an Italian style buffet meal. The owners encouraged me to add a sauce on the side to my chicken milanese, a putanesca, and I'm still being complimented on it. I wanted eggplant parmigiana and they suggested eggplant napoleons, harder to make but better looking and I wish I had a plate in front of me right now. The veggies were vibrant and flavorful, the pasta was perfect...even the bread served with little side bowls of olive oil were fabulous. Believe me, with a lot of Italian mothers on the guest list, serving Italian was risky but we got rave reviews from even the pickiest of cooks! On top of all this, they are complete pros when it comes to set up and clean up. They took great care in my kitchen, papering the floors and leaving my counters and sink cleaner than they were before. They cooked the main meal out of my GARAGE and clearly brought everything they would possibly need to pull that off. In short (ha ha) do yourself a favor and cross one major thing off your list of things to worry about... hire David Josephs for your wedding. You will be nothing less than thrilled and your guests will be completely impressed.

Our experience with David and Joseph were tope shelf. That were a pleasure to work with; paying attention to even the smallest details to make certain that our event and our guests had a most memorable experience. We would recommend them highly.

Great food, and the service is even better!

I had seen David Josephs Catering over the years at events at a friends home over the last 8 years and had always wanted to use them. Very recently I finally had a chance to use them myself and was so excited by how wonderful they were. Not only were they professional and flexible ( 50 of my guests started showing up an hour late) - they couldn't have been more respnsive to my needs. The food was excellent and the service was impeccable. I would recommend them very highly. Anyone who uses them will not be disappointed!!

This was not my first experience with David Josephs Catering. This was just another successful party where David Josephs was the key ingredient. The food quality was excellent and the selection that David helped to choose insured that everyone's taste and diet was satisfied. David supplied the servers, including a bartender, as well. Everything happened according to plan and schedule from the start and up to desert. At the end of the party the servers packed up all the left overs and cleaned up to point where the house looked like it did before the party. Tremendous job!

They catered 2 Sunday brunches in my home for about 70 people. The quality of the food was top shelf. The french toast was incredible, the frittata was delicious and the omelette chef was a big hit with ingredients that were a little different than the standard. Staff was very professional and when they left, you could not tell there was even a party there. Will definitely use their services again. They were flexible in creating my menu. The brunch was one of the highlights of my celebratory weekend!

Joseph was extremely easy to work with and very flexible and thoughtful. Each experience has been very successful and all our guests were left with the feeling that were VIP's. The staff is incredibly friendly, accommodating and professional.

David and Joseph and staff are the absolute best! I can't say enough about the flexibility and helpfulness re: menu, price and set-up; the competence and friendliness of the staff; or, most of all, the deliciousness of the food--I had a vegetarian menu and even the most avid meat eaters among the guests were raving. My husband and I eat out a lot and we agree that our wedding buffet was one of the best meals we've ever had in any location. Highly, highly recommended!!

If you want a stress free wedding reception or any event, we highly recommend using David josephs Catering services. You will be so impressed with Joseph and Jennifers expertise in planning, organizing, and executing a phenomenal (wedding) reception, tailored just for you, which will compliment your style and needs. Prior to the reception, we were invited to a tasting of their dishes. This, of course, made the planning of the reception so much easier. Joseph and his staff took care of everything, including setting up, taking down, cleaning up, and transporting all needed items to the reception hall. We didn’t have to lift a finger, and were able to enjoy the entire evening. The place was elegantly decorated, including the buffet tables. The food was just delicious. The entrees were kept warm the whole time. The most amazing part was what Joseph did above and beyond his call of duty. He constantly checked on the bride and groom and made sure that they had a chance to eat. He paid attention to details and was observant to the needs of the hosts and guests. We found out that evening that he even knew how to attach the bustle to the wedding gown. His flexibility in accommodating our needs really took a huge load off our shoulders. For example, our guest list fluctuated up to the last day before the wedding. Joseph reassured us that he would have enough food for additional guests, and not to worry. David Joseph's catered my wedding last August. From the first meeting they were so prepared and had endless suggestions for the reception. The food was unbelievable, soo delicious. We knew after the tasting what to expect, but they out did themselves on our wedding day. From the cocktail hour right through everything was amazing. My favorites were the pan seared chicken dumplings in take out containers and they were a huge hit! And everyone loved the coconut chilean sea bass. The service was superb, the staff so helpful and accomodating. So many of my guests commented that they felt as if the staff treated them like family. What a great thing for the bride to hear after all the planning that a wedding entails. I would highly recommend David Joseph's for your wedding or next catered affair.

Although we had hired a wedding planner as well, you were the driving force behind the success of our wedding, and the one group we counted on more than anyone else, giving us solid solutions, advice, guidance and always being available for as long as we needed. The wedding day began with a challenge for everybody when a sever gale force storm overtook our oceanfront backyard just 3 hours before guests were to arrive, and a power and generator failure further tested our resolve! After fishing out lamps candles and silverware from the pool, establishing a new last minute table plan, and retrieving our beautiful linens from the local laundromat, the sky cleared at last and the humidity broke to our advantage. During all these emotional setbacks you and your staff were the most professional, calm and collected contractors on site, and managed to reassure us that we will have the wedding that day after all. And what a great wedding we had! As well as many stories to be told for years to come…. We are truly very thankful to you and your incredible staff! Considering all the impediments you had to overcome, it was a most memorable event. I am sure that in the past you’ve encountered situations where things went wrong: Ours had to be one of the more challenging…. However, our guests truly enjoyed themselves and most remained unaware of our struggle to prepare the venue, our home, due to the storm. Where do I even start? We used David Josephs Catering for our wedding and they were Outstanding! They went above and beyond what we were expecting. From the great tasting food, to the professional staff. From the very beginning they were comforting and knowledgeable. They made the process very easy and at an extremely competitive price for the quality of food and service. We had the lemon Thai shrimp, crab cake sliders, corn cakes with smoked salmon and goat cheese/thyme puffs for hors d’oeuvres and so much more that everyone was beyond pleased. We had a family style dinner with short ribs and a wild mushroom mashed potato and also pan seared Chilean sea bass with creamy tomato risotto. So Yummy. Beyond the food, the staff was so friendly and attentive. I was the bride and I know that they pay special attention to the bride but it seemed that every guest was special. During photos while the guests were being served Hors D’oeuvres they made sure that the wedding party was being taken care of as well. The planning was made easy because Joseph and his crew have such an eye for detail, and Chef David was super easy to work with and so accommodating. David Josephs was recommended to us, and it was the best decision we could have made. They not only catered our wedding, they helped to coordinate our entire wedding. Their expertise in weddings was apparent from our first meeting. Joseph brought up questions and details that neither of us even thought about. From the food tastings to the multiple emails I sent, Joseph always responded quickly and made me feel confident about our Big Day. I can't even stress how smooth our wedding reception was. The entire night went perfectly, thanks to Joseph and David. We are still receiving compliments about the food from our guests. Joseph was very attentive to our needs as bride and groom. We were a little off our original schedule, but Joseph reassured me that it was not a problem. The wedding hall looked phenomenal and the entire staff was great. Our first experience with David Josephs was in the summer of 2009 when they catered our wedding of 150+ guests. The food was extraordinary...they are not your "everyday caterers". Everything served was a work of art, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Since then, we have used David Josephs for all our parties..big and small. They have done our holiday parties (even one in a blizzard) as well as some other smaller events. The staff are consummate professionals who are not only very well trained, but clearly enjoy working for the company as demonstrated in their superior work ethic. They are knowledgable, gracious, polite, and exhibit excellent social skills. Our guests ALWAYS comment on the truly "perfect package" of fabulous food and exemplary service. We have become very spoiled by they way they have taken care of us and will continue to engage them as our caterer of choice for all future events.

David Josephs Catering is stellar. I got married at a vineyard in September 2007. I cannot say enough about my experience with this company. The food was simply outstanding. But, more than just the food- everything was wonderful. This is truly a full-service organization. David Josephs handled all of the rentals (tables, chairs, linens, etc), the centerpieces (seasonal grapes and fruits arranged on a platter with wine bottles), and was very amenable to my idea of having a less formal "celebrating with family and friends' atmosphere. Joe was there throughout the planning process and always responded to me in a timely fashion and provided insight to various ideas. In fact the centerpieces were his idea. I talked to him so much that after my wedding it felt weird not to be in constant communication with him. My wedding was over 3 years ago and friends and family STILL talk about what an amazing time they had and how wonderful everything was- some say it was the best wedding they've ever attended. I wanted it all but Joseph always kept me on my toes…..good job! He was able to make it happen according to my vision.
