Post Hurricane Sandy – Rose & Doris are located in Howard Beach and my heart went out to them. I emailed them a few times to see if they needed anything, water, food, clothes, anything at all. They were in great spirits despite the devastation the hurricane caused. I also emailed them asking them if I should look for another florist in case they were unable to provide the service, they said no – they were all ready to go. The day of the wedding: I was getting ready in the hotel with the girls and my DH calls me to tell me that the boutonnieres were left outside. No one waited for someone to answer the door so they were left right there on the stoop. Rose comes to the hotel and drops of my bouquets and the girls’ bouquets. Well, it turned out she was missing two bridesmaids bouquets and two corsages. I asked my bridesmaids to check to see if all the bouquets were there and she said no, we are missing two. Rose stated that I had only 5 bridesmaids and I said no, I have 7. There should be a total of 7 bridesmaids bouquets. We went back and forth with this. Luckily, I had a copy of every contract with me just in case. I showed her the contract and she said that given the circumstances of what happened with the hurricane this happened. She left immediately to go back to get the rest of the bouquets. I called my DH to ask him to check the corsages and boutonnieres. He was missing two corsages, and two of the boutonnieres were the wrong color. Rose re-delivered the flowers to the hotel. The day AFTER the wedding, I received an email from Doris apologizing for the error. I appreciated that since Rose didn’t apologize to me on the actual day of the wedding for the mishap. I also was told in the email that they had given me a bigger bouquet from what I ordered. I didn’t think this was necessary to mention despite of what happened. I also was told that the girl’s would have extra flowers in their bouquets and they didn’t.

> For the first time DBR made a mistake and we sincerely apologized for the error. Rose did wait for the groom, but there was no answer at the door so went to the car to get the folder with the phone number to call, but he then came out and she waved on. We work very hard for all our brides, each one means so much to us. This was a mistake due to Sandy by not having the correct copy of the contract on hand so mistakes happened and we were and are sincerely upset about it. Our record speaks for itself. We know there are no words to make this situation better. In over 10 years this is a first! We wish we could take it back and do it over.

Rose was wonderful to work with. She helped us find what we were really looking for in our autumn-inspired floral arrangements. She did a sample for us, and the arrangement was beautiful, but the colors were slightly different than what I had in mind. So Rose asked me more questions and did a second sample -- it was perfect!!! We visited a few floral vendors and Rose had the best value, hands down. I must say that Rose really pulled through for us. Our wedding was the Friday after Hurricane Sandy, and Rose had the aftermath to deal with herself. She found a way to make everything we had asked for, with the exception of our low centerpieces (we had a mix of high and low), which she had to change slightly. Even with this change, the flowers were gorgeous!! Thank you, Rose, for doing such a phenomenal job, especially with the extreme circumstances of that week!!!

Rose and Doris were the most wonderful vendors I worked with throughout my wedding process. I can not express how much they catered to every want. They not only did the florals for my wedding but also my bridal shower. Rose nailed everything I had asked for. The flowers were AMAZING and beautiful.I couldn't have found a better florist. They helped me with way more then a normal florist would ever do. They were the most generous caring and concerned people anyone could deal with. Future brides YOU NEED TO USE THEM!!! Rose and her mom Doris was such a pleasure to work with. The flowers came out so beautiful. I had ideas for my flowers and Rose put them together. The prices was a little cheaper then outside but their service and worth the price.

Designs by Rose truly has the best floral quality and arrangements. On my wedding day, she managed to bring my floral arrangements to reality with just a few pictures, and verbal descriptions of my vision for a soft, romantic elegance that you get from an english country garden on a late spring's day. Yes, that description is INSANE and not easy to get. I also desperately wanted peonies as one of the flower choices, but as my wedding was in October there was no luck that they would be remotely in season. Her solution was to mimic the softness and layers of peonies by adding hydrangeas and different types of roses that gave a similar feel. She also managed to created texture with green lillie buds and splashes of color with lavender spray roses. Her attention to detail from her floral mock up left me speechless and completely at ease. When I saw her sample I knew she completely got my vision. She is a rare find, who truly brings your ideas to life. She is completely attentive and always responsive to emails to any inquiries. I cannot express enough my complete gratitude to be given the opportunity to work with her. SHE IS THE BEST!!!

We looked at several florists for our 9/15/12 wedding, but once we met Rose & her Mom, Doris, our search ended - they were a pleasure to work with every step of the way! Our budget for flowers was pretty tight, but we wanted them to be beautiful - I showed Rose & Doris a few pictures of bouquets I liked, & they took it from there, made suggestions for beautiful, in-season flowers that wouldn't cost a fortune. Our centerpieces were simple & lovely hydrangea arrangements that all our guests took home, & my bouquet of ivory roses & mango cala lilies was simply stunning. I wrapped it & put it in the refrigerator after the wedding, &, two weeks later, it still looked fresh! Rose & Doris were so easy to work with, I've already recommended them to other couples & would do so again in a minute.

Rose and Doris Catapano are simply the best. I loved working with them, and thought that the value I got was amazing as well. However, getting a good price in no way meant compromising on quality. I plan on using them again in the future for all of my floral needs :)

Working with Designs by Rose was one of the best experiences of my wedding. I was amazed at how beautiful everything was. When I walked into the reception room for the first time and saw the centerpieces I was in disbelief with how gorgeous they were. I received so many compliments on them. Every single one of them was taken home by a guest (and members of the hotel staff) at the nights end. All of the handhelds were gorgeous. The flowers were very high quality and fresh. The centerpiece I took home lasted over two weeks. Rose and Doris are nice, responsive, trustworthy and flexible. All important qualities to look for in a wedding vendor. I changed my mind several times throughout the wedding planning process and they happily accommodated my changes. Rose and Doris were amazing! From the first consultation, they seemed to know exactly what I envisioned and gave me great suggestions and ideas. They were very responsive and accommodating with my requests and really pleasant to deal with. The flowers on my wedding day were gorgeous and even more than I imagined. We just had our wedding on Sunday and I have to admit I was floored. The flowers on the gazebo were AMAZING and GORGEOUS especially since it was a last minute addition to our plans. As I walked down the aisle and saw for the first time the gazebo, I thought to myself oh my goodness how pretty. Rose decorated the aisle so lovely too. The girls loved their bouquets as I did mine and my daughter of course loved her little pink kissing ball. She really nailed the vision of pink flowers that I wanted. The centerpieces in the recpetion were GORGEOUS as well and everyone complimented how pretty they were. They were exactly as I had pictured them to look. Everything was delievered in a timely manner and were all there well before the wedding took place. When working with Rose and Doris I felt at ease and knew that she was reliable and dependable and I had no anxiety about the flowers not being correct. They were nicer then I even imagined. It was a pleasure working with Rose and Doris for the flowers for our wedding. They were never pushy and very considerate of our budget. They were also very flexible since we had to push our wedding date up. Rose always answered emails quickly and was very professional. She also created an example of our centerpieces to make sure we were all on the same page. You will not have any regrets using Designs By Rose for your flowers we know we didn't!!!!!!

I am so happy I chose Designs by Rose as my florist! She is fantastic at what she does!!! I don't know much about flowers, but when i showed pictures of my ideas, she made suggestions that were great! I don't know how she does it but she knew my style right away. She made suggestions to save money, which is rare with vendors. I had the flowers that was within my budget and they looked amazing! Everyone gave compliements about her work. The flowers she gets are excellent. Some guests took home the centerpieces and told me that they lasted for about 2 weeks. You will not be disappointed when you choose Designs by Rose.

The ceremony set up was good as we asked that they provide a backdrop for us, which included constructing an alter for us to be married under. They delivered the type of flowers we asked for and the arrangements all looked great. They made the process of selecting and arranging the flowers easy and did a great job on the wedding day itself, including moving some of the flowers from the ceremony room to the reception room seamlessly. They are genuinely nice people who accommodated us on many issues, some near the end of the process. They made everything easy. We recommend them very highly!

In the planning stage I felt like I must have been making Rose crazy with all of my questions and changes to the contract, but she never made me feel that way. She always responded to my emails and questions ASAP! Our budget for flowers had shrunk after booking some other things for the wedding and I was beginning to feel like I could not achieve what I wanted within our price range. I contacted Rose advised what I was looking for and my budget and she met it! The centerpieces and bouquets were so beautiful and exactly what I had been imagining! Rose delivered the bouquets that morning, and arrived early! If you are looking for a florist, Please Please Please meet with Designs by Rose! You will not be disappointed!

There’s not enough I can say about Rose Cataplano. She was a pleasure to work with. She is a visionary with great ideas. She too, is great with response and communication (a common theme in my review). She gave us a free centerpiece preview sample a month after we first met her (all the other flower people told us to come back in the spring...we met her in September). The sample matched exactly to what she described and what we wanted. (side note: if you have live fruit in your centerpiece, make sure you get rid of it in less than a week. Fruit flies are a killer to get rid of). She had a lot of throw ins including cake flowers, flower girl flowers, and grooms flowers). All of the bridal party flowers were perfect, without anything missing. She even stayed later to decorate our cake (a practice that is not commonly done). She really goes the extra mile for her clients, she doesn’t have to at all considering how inexpensive she is compared to her competitors. She is a gem, and I wish I could get married again, so I could work with her again.

I was recommended the company by my best friend's cousin, who also used her for her wedding and could not stop raving about how beautiful her flowers were. Now, I can say the same and will definitely recommend Designs by Rose to every bride I meet! Rose and Doris were very friendly, patient, and approachable during the entire planning process, even with a bride like me who had NO IDEA what she wanted. From our very first meeting, Rose's talent and expertise with floral design was apparent. She was quick to show me various examples of her past work as well as talk over my vision for the big day. Most importantly, she was honest. Being a January bride, I had my limitations, if I didn't want to spend a fortune. Rose knows her flowers well and guided me toward ones that were in season as well as described the pros and cons of each (i.e. I'm not so delicate with my things, so I needed strong flowers that would hold up throughout the day and night). For my reception at The University Club, Rose set me up with a tall, simple, and elegant centerpiece of white calla lilies, orchids, and curly willows that simply glowed in my venue. My bridesmaids and I all had very fresh and full bouquets. You could tell that Rose put thought and care to every single flower she placed into the bouquet. The delivery was prompt and the set up was clean. The contracts were promptly drawn up and very clear as to what I ordered. The ease of doing business with Designs by Rose really instilled my confidence in the company and allowed me to actually relax on my big day!!! Thank you so much, Rose and Doris!!!!

My bouquet was magnificent white stephanotis with rhinestone center & not to mention it gave such a sweet floral scent. My video & photographer were amazed on how gorgeous the flowers looked. After the wedding we were so tired and went straight to bed waking up to the phone ringing and it was my maid of honor calling to make sure I saved her bouquet then few of my bridesmaid texted and calling that they wanted theirs as well. They put me at ease and were so confident that my fears quickly went away. They worked with my wedding venue before so they knew what would work and where to save our money. Rose and Doris are great. Flowers were very important to us, but with a caterer, ballroom and 5 hours with a band, we had to trim the flower budget. Rose understood this immediately when we met with her and never tried to push us outside of our initally stated budget - they're probably the only vendor we dealt with who didn't try to push our budget. Most importantly, there was zero trade-off between the quality of flower and service that was provided to us. From the service send, Rose and Doris were always extremely responsive to any questions we had or changes that we needed to make. They were just very easy to work with. We ended up choosing a calla lily arrangement for the tables (the reception location, The Prince George Ballroom, has a lot of color, so a more decorative arrangement wasn't necessary), floating flowers for the cocktail tables, and a long calla lily bouquet. They were beautiful. When we met with several other florists, after initially trying to push our budget, and they all eventually suggested a similar calla lilly arrangement. Rose had a nicer looking sample arrangement (which looked equally beautiful on the wedding day) and her prices were simply better. Every single arrangement, including the 6 foor displays next to the alter, was taken by our guests. She really is great. A lot of the time, there is a trade-off between cost and service. This is certainly not the case. Sign them up before they realize they can charge more!

Rose and her mother were so absolutley wonderful to work with! First, I received many many quotes from florists in the NYC area...and so many were VERY high priced (I had 23 guest tables)) and I was beginning to feel discouraged...until I read some recommendations for Rose and decided to give her a call. She had such reasonable prices and I didn't have to compromise what I wanted at all. She set up a sample centerpiece for me upon our meeting and it was just beautiful! Not to mention at her studio I got to see some of her other projects and she is incredibly talented. During the entire planning process she was more than accommodating (even when I changed my mind a couple of times!) The day of the wedding my bouquets arrived and they were incredible! The ceremony and reception flowers and candle centerpieces took my breath away and they were even better than I could have expected. All of my guests commented they were gorgeous. Definitley go to Rose! I will be recommending her! If you want a personal experience, beautiful flowers and a reasonable price (who doesn't!) than this is a great choice.

Designs by Rose were one of my favorite vendors! Rose and Doris are a complete pleasure to work with. When I saw my centerpieces I practically cried because they were so GORGEOUS. I cannot thank them enough for making my reception look AMAZING. I am still receiving compliments on the flowers, the guests could not believe they were real! As a very nontraditional bride, I never understood what the big deal was about flowers among other things at weddings. However, when I looked through the beautiful photo gallery that Designs by Rose has on their website - it all started to make sense. There was something that stood out to me from their photos and arrangements from any other floral vendor : They were so personal. I could see all of the attention to detail, the thoughtfulness behind every arrangement... and that Rose not only respects the wishes of her brides but she also respects the space that she is working in. Rose makes sure that her floral designs compliment both the bride and venue. Working with Rose and Doris has been such a joy. I was confident in their work that instead of hounding them about details and requests, I was able to let them know my vision and let them create these works of art all on their own. I was so confident, that we wound up establishing a wonderful relationship of which I'm sure we'll keep in touch for years to come as friends and also for floral arrangements for any event/birthday/occasion that comes into our lives. Such a great relationship that when I got word that the floral arrangements arrived at the venue - I was about to get into my dress almost an hour before my ceremony - that I RAN outside in the mud w/ jeans and a t-shirt to go give a hug and say hello to my most special lady, Rose. Our wedding was held in Long Island, NY on 9/24/2011 and my husband and I had guests from New Hampshire, California, North Carolina, Florida, Italy, Connecticut, Mass, Cuba, Colombia, and of course some hard to please New Yorkers. They all raved about the flowers from the bouquets and the ceremony, to the reception and extra touches around the venue. The "fights" over the centerpieces at the end of the night were hilarious. Every single flower was of the most stunning quality and absolutely perfect. We appreciated every stem and the thought and care that was behind putting it all together. With a fun sense of humor, fantastic sense of creativity, warmth and ease, professionalism that makes you feel like royalty, prices that I cannot even call fair - at the end of the day you'll feel like you want to give them more for everything they've done for you. An absolutely wonderful experience, Designs by Rose is hands down the number one creative floral designer around.

Rose, Doris & their team were absolutely wonderful to work with! I had a lot of ideas going in and they helped to guide me to create the most amazing end result ever. They worked with our budget and came up with a great solution when a flower i really wanted wasn't available during the month of our wedding. Our setup required a lot of hand work (we had a chuppah, lanterns and a lot of little extras/details that needed to be set up) and everything looked absolutely gorgeous and done to perfection. The bouquets were to die for and they were professional every step of the way. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for beautiful flowers and a vendor you can totally trust to execute your vision!

Rose was simple amazing!!! from our first meeting until the day she dropped off my flowers, she was always kind and sweet and treated me well. I changed my idea about my flowers about 5 - 10 times over the year that i booked her and she was there, every step of the way helping me to make the right decisions. I hired Designs by Rose to provide the flowers for my wedding, August 2011. I chose to work with them because their prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality of work they provided. I am SO HAPPY I went with them! Rose and here mom were so friendly and caring! They worked with me when I was completely undecided about what to do (I changed my mind about 3 times before finally committing to what I had at the wedding). Rose suggested everything I had at my wedding since I was a jumble of thoughts and it all turned out absolutely AMAZING! My bouquet was something out of a dream and it held up all day! I was extremely happy with the professional, warm, and courteous service provider by Rose and her staff. She was flexible up until the day before my wedding when I completely forgot to include the candles and when I called her she he no problem with setting them up at no charge. She gave me three different options within my price range and they where all beautiful and elegant flowers. She also allowed me to see a preview which also included an additional charge that she did not charge me although, the flowers were a different color it still looked beautiful. Rose was also flexible with the payments which is a plus when on a budget. Wedding was on 9/21/2012. Designs By Rose was one of my favorite vendors to work with! When I went in for my first meeting with her, I had no idea what I was looking for and had very little knowledge of flowers. Rose really worked with my budget, and the style I was hoping to achieve for my wedding. By the time I walked out of there my flowers were one of the things I was most excited for. The bouquets were beautiful and my centerpieces were breathtakingly beautiful. I got compliments on my flowers all night long. Her prices are really competitive and the arrangements are stunning. She was always very quick to respond to my emails and was overall just a pleasure to work with. I would highly reccommend her to other brides.

OMG Designs by Rose is the greatest florist in all of New York!! I consider myself a frugal bride so I did my homework and shopped around. Although i did hear nothing but great things about Designs by Rose I still tried out other florists but they all came up short. Rose and her mother Doris are two wonderful ladies to work with. They arent out to get the most money out of you as possible, they try and save you money where ever they can. The suggest cheaper options and ideas to help you save money. Dealing with them was always quick and painless. The day of my wedding my flowers were delivered early and were more beautiful then I could have ever imagined. My center pieces were lush and even bigger then I thought they would be. My guests were fighting over them at one point. Designs by Rose did an exceptional job at my New York City wedding in June. Rose and Doris were both great to work with and quick at responding to all of my questions. Rose had great ideas and has the talent to run with the minimal information given to create a stylist, unique environment. I received compliments all night long on the beautiful centerpieces, bouquets, and chuppah. They are flexible with last minute additions and their pricing is very competitive. I would definitely recommend Designs by Rose to any bride!

Rose and Doris are the sweetest but most professional team i have met. I had met them a few years prior and they still remembered me, my fiance and mom. we were greated with open arms and guidance evey step of the way. I have had MANY friends who had used their services, so i had no worries or fears about my flowers. I knew rose and doris woudl do an excellent job. their services and the price was one you dont even need to bargin or hassle with. i never though i would have such georgous centerpieces for the price i was paying! the venus smelled like a garden & the centerpieces lasted FRESH for a WEEK after the event! i asked for cream and white centerpieces with green highlights... it was angelic. my bok and for the girls highlighted the pink tones in their dresses, and added just enough color. Rose has a great eye and is so very talented. i have and will continue to recommend them to everyone i talk to!

Rose and Doris were an absolute pleasure to work with. I had a somewhat limited floral budget, and they went above and beyond my expectations and provided absolutely stunning centerpieces, wedding party flowers and reception decor. This was no small fete given my wedding was in February, not exactly peak season for flowers. I literally gasped when I walked into my reception and saw the centerpieces. They were lovely; exactly what I wished for. My bridal bouquet was a stunning, classic, all white, hand tied arrangement. It must have weighed 10 pounds with all the flowers they used! Beyond the flowers themselves, though, Doris and Rose were a great team to work with during the planning process. They were honest and provided invaluable feedback about what would and would not work for my venue. I kept going back and forth on what to do for escort card table decorations. Many vendors would have taken that opportunity to try and up-sell me on additional flowers to squeeze a few extra dimes out of me, but Doris and Rose were honest in letting my know I would not need the extra decor; it would be unnecessary given my venue. They were 100% right. Bottom line is I am very happy with their work and would absolutely recommend their services!

I am not much of a flower person, but my bouquets and centerpieces were out of this world. I wanted a very dark bouquet which Rose nailed. For the centerpieces, we went with 4 cylinders each with a different submerged flowers, and on other tables a 24 inch trumpet vase with white large callalilly, blue delphinuem and orchids. People fought to take the centerpieces home. Rose totally worked with my budget, and created such beautiful pieces. She is a true artist.

designs by rose was amazing im happy I found her ! she made my wedding dream come true i thought it was gonna be impossible to have the flower that i wanted which was the calla lily i didnt even want to mention it because every other vendor i went to was telling me crazy prices so when i went to rose i had a whole different approach to what i wanted as soon as i sat down she said how about orchids and calla lillies i was soooooooooooo excited and even happier when i heard the price very reasonable ,me and my fiance were very pleased also was happy that i didnt have to steer away from what i really wanted , i told her my idea and she practically took it right out of my mind and made a reality of it. when i walked into my reception room to see what it looked like i was said oooommmmmgggggggg !!!!!!!!! my eyes got watery but i didnt want to mess up my make up but i recommend her 1000000000000000%%%%%%%%%% she does her job to the fullest and she is a very nice person to work with made me feel comfortable the whole time .

Rose was absolutely wonderful to work with. I am so happy that I found her. She puts together beautiful arrangements that are cost-conscious but look full and rich. She was extremely accommodating to our schedule on the day of the wedding (coming early to accommodate the photographer and staying past the ceremony to help transition the room from the ceremony to the dinner). Over a month later I still have my HUGE bouquet in my refigerator. It's so beautiful I don't want to get rid of it!!!

I found about Rose while doing research for an affordable florist. I was working on a budget and needed someone to provide flowers for a medium size wedding (about 120 people), but something that didn't break the bank. Flowers (specifically centerpieces) were pretty low on my list of priorities. I met with Rose and her lovely mother, Doris, in her studio in Howard Beach. I told them I was looking to do centerpieces, a bridal bouquet, 3 bridesmaid’s bouquets, corsages for our moms and boutonniere’s for the groom, groomsmen and dads. I knew what I wanted for my bouquet, but I was pretty open to anything when it came to the rest of it. The only challenge was I wanted it to be around $1000. Doris suggested a couple of options for centerpieces, one of which was stems of white dendrobium orchids in a cylinder. When Rose made up the sample she even through in some curly willow branches to fill out the arrangement. I was sold! On the day of the wedding everything was flawless. The flowers were delivered and the bouquets were beautiful. I could not have been happier and it was LESS than $1000.

Rose did a great job for my fall wedding! She surpassed all my expectations! I have recommended her to all my bride friends! Her work is amazing!

If I can only give this mother and daughter team 10 Stars, I will! Thank God I found Rose and Doris here on wedding wire. We spoke with at least 4 other florists before meeting with them. Of all the florists we spoke with, Rose seemed to understand my vision the most. I like the fact that she even suggested less expensive arrangements so we can save money. All the other florists we spoke with seemed to care only about how much they'll be making. I also liked the fact that they're very familiar with our venue (Oheka castle). They've done lots of beautiful weddings there. Oheka has a lot of "rules" about where things can and cant go; what kinds of things are allowed, etc. I'm glad Rose knows about these things. Definitely made me more at ease. No matter what you plan on spending, Rose will make sure you get beautiful flowers/arrangements. Our flowers were gorgeous especially the centerpieces. Our centerpieces were huge arrangements of hydrangeas, roses and handpainted gold lemon leaf (which Rose suggested). They looked so beautiful with the swarovski crystal pedestal Rose owns. It made the ballroom look more striking and elegant.

Rose of Designs by Rose is an absolutely amazing florist - my husband and I could not have asked for a better vendor for our wedding. The quality of her work is above and beyond - I knew that there was nothing to worry about on my wedding day when Rose showed up with all of the flowers for my family and wedding party and each piece, especially the bouquets, were just breath taking. The quality of flowers and Rose's gift with arranging them is why I will be recommending Designs by Rose as the go-to florist for friends' and family members' events for years to come! Rose was so unbelievable to work with, she was able to take the idea of what I want it and help me make it better to work in my hall. She was able to give me the flowers I wanted but still stay in my budget. The flowers were unbelievable, the bouquets turned out awesome and she even put a charm on mine as a memory of my father. When the hall told me I needed less tables then I ordered Rose was able to work with me on fixing the issue. The flowers for Mothers, Grandmothers and men of the bridal party came out great. She even sent a few extra with some more pins just in case which really impressed me. When I arrived at the Church I was so impressed by the flowers on the alter and the small bunches of rose on the pews (which I didn’t even order). I would recommend Rose to anyone she does amazing work and she does her absolute best to make sure that everything is what you want and how you want it. She was great to work with and she made you feel like your wedding was as important to her as it is to you.

When they delivered my flowers, it was the first tears I shed all day. I never imagined that what I saw in my mind could be so beautiful in reality. My bouquet was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen and the comments about our centerpieces did not stop all night. Rose and her family go above and beyond for you. They work with your budget and your ideas and create something even better than you could envision. She is friendly and warm and her parents (who help run things with her) are the best! The first time we met them her father even took us out for pizza! How cool is that?! If you can book her before she is booked, do it! She was what made our day that much more special and beautiful. Fresh flowers really do make a difference and if you think it's not in your budget, think again! You do have it in your budget, believe me!

Our flowers were gorgeous!!! There was a little situation that required a new corsage for my mother, but it turned out ok. While everything was fresh and vibrant and stunning, there were two things that popped out when I saw pictures. The 6 Bridesmaid's bouquets varied quite a bit in size from one another. And the Maid of Honor's, which should have been slightly bigger than the Bridesmaid's was about the size of mine. The other thing is that on my last meeting I made sure to go over the details for my bouquet again and asked that they make sure the blue and green were accents, and cream was the dominant color. I don't think that came through. Again, everything was gorgeous, and I would highly recommend and use Rose again. I would just be very specific about those things.

To put my wedding into context, I was finishing a Master's thesis, starting a new high pressure job, and moving to a new continent, all a few weeks before my wedding. As a result, I had to put a lot of faith into Designs by Rose, and I am extremely happy that I did. Rose and Doris went out of their way to ensure that I had a beautiful wedding with as little stress as possible. They worked with my hectic schedule and were extremely responsive to all of my last minute changes. They knew right away what types of flowers would be best for the season and venue, and their suggestions turned out to be perfect. The flowers were beautiful, and friends still comment on the verious arrangements when they look through our wedding photos. More importantly, the high quality service and personal dedication on the part of Rose and Doris meant that I coud show up at my wedding fully confident that the flowers would be exactly what I wanted. That confidence was priceless.

I worked with Rose a number of times (friends showers and parties) prior to hiring her as my florist for my June 2010 wedding. There was no doubt that I would hire Designs by Rose for my big day, and she was better than I could have ever imagined. My bouquet of Magenta peonies and eggplant calla lillies stole the show. All of my guests were highly impressed. I HIGHLY RECOMMED using Designs by Rose for any of your events.

Designs by Rose did all my floral arrangements at Angel Orensanz and I could not be happier with them, they truly saw my vision and turned it into reality. Gorgeous manzanita trees were with orchids, crystals and candles, they truly took my breath away. Great customer service and response times on emails, easy communication, great vendor!!

Flowers were beautiful! They were accommodating and responsive to emails/phone calls. They are very honest with prices and talked me out of getting some things that were pricey and, now looking back, were totally unnecessary. A plus for their integrity and honesty!

So pleased with everything from start to finish! When we first met I had put flowers on the back burner for so long because I was very overwhelmed by what I actually wanted and all the ideas I thought I liked I was told by other florists that they couldn't do but would provide me with no alternatives. That all changed in the first few minutes with Rose. She put the tension of my mother and me completely at ease and I honestly can't thank her enough for that alone. Then, came the day of my wedding and I was completely blown away. Rose was amazing. From the very beginning she was very accomodating and professional. I changed my mind a few times from what type of flowers in the bouquet to taking things off to adding last minute additions. She accomodated these changes immediately and was very friendly about it. The flowers the day of were absolutely perfect. We received many many complements on them. They were bright, in bloom and full and most people took home centerpieces. The bouquets were equally beautiful. I had wanted something small for both the bouquet and centerpieces and while they were, they did not seem small with how many flowers were packed in and how great they looked. I am a big fan of Designs by Rose! Rose and her family provided stunning flowers for my wedding (green hydrangea centerpieces, cherry blossoms around the "alter" area, and bridal bouquets). Everything was just perfect! We had a simple, outdoor wedding, and I wanted understated, simple, and natural arrangements that would blend well with the venue (a small renovated parks building in nyc that was built in the 1930s)... and I wanted to stay within a relatively modest budget. Rose and her family worked with us to meet our needs, and I could not have been happier. It was a pleasure working with this vendor!

I found Rose through this website, desperate after my wedding planner/florist dropped out on me right before the wedding. Rose was very professional, calm and did an amazing job turning my ethnic but elegant desires into beautiful and awe-inspiring florals! She has great attention to detail and can go rustic or over the top with the same amount of flair. Everyone raved about the flowers at my wedding and she even found a way to get some of my husbands ideas in too. No matter your price point, Rose will give you an elegant, amazing event. Rose is a great pleasure to work with and really knows her stuff. Flowers is not something we budgeted for much at all and we were originally not going to even have floral centerpieces, just personals and have lots of candles or lanterns as our centerpieces. But after meeting with Rose for the first time we saw something we were very interested in and Rose was able to work so well with our budget. I could not have been happier on deciding to have floral centerpieces. She also worked very well with my color scheme so that my bridal party could have flowers that would look great with their dresses and tuxes. All of our flowers were delivered very early on the day of despite a huge snowstorm. My only complaint is that all of our personals looked not so fresh and were already a little brown. Two roses fell off of my bouquet before I even arrived to my reception venue (which was at about 4:30 in the afternoon). I was so upset about that at the time, especially because you could tell in some of my pictures. Seeing my gorgeous centerpieces at the reception made up for it a bit. I was in tears when I saw how gorgeous the room looked with the flowers on the tables. Still I wish my flowers and all of my girls flowers were fresher. The flowers on my sweetheart table were so cute and so were the flowers put on my cake, those touches really made everything at the reception look so special for us. Everything came together very nicely and Rose was really easy to work with and if we used her services again making sure all the flowers are as fresh as possible would be the only thing I would stress, but creatively she knows very well what she is doing and any bride would be in good hands.

I went to a retirement party, a year before I got engaged, and couldn't stop looking at the centerpieces. They were so beautiful! It is with great enthusiasm and happiness that I recommend flowers by rose. They worked with me over the course of many months to find out what would look best with my venue and bridesmaids. They were great at offering their experience and ideas and didn't expect that I was the florist, like some city florists who didn't feel like they needed to do much other than say that they worked with some big name or another. They fit my wedding perfectly as the flowers were beautiful but the people in charge were accessible and unpretentious. They were direct and honest and it is no easy feat to find this combo in the wedding industry. The flowers exceeded my expectations and my guests were all asking about who was responsible for them. I can't wait for another opportunity to use their services again.

Rose and Doris were so wonderful to work with. They always promptly answered my emails and worked with me with any changes that i requested. Their work is gorgeous and my flowers lasted for an entire week after the wedding nice and fresh and still smelling so beautifully. They treated me like family everytime i met with them and on my wedding day Doris told me Congratulations and that i looked beautiful. All of my guests loved the centerpieces and the ones who took the centerpieces home told me that they lasted for one week as well still perfectly fresh.

Rose and Doris did such an amazing job putting together the flowers and decorations. They did everything from pew decorations to hanging lanterns and were very reasonably priced. They were always responsive with any changes and I requested and even worked with me as I changed the table arrangements only two days before the wedding.

Designs by Rose is fantastic, and did a great job with the flowers for both our ceremony and wedding reception. I changed my mind on the flowers several times prior to the wedding, and Rose and Doris were always responsive and willing to help. Their rates are extremely affordable; I had looked at some other florists in Manhattan who charged significantly more for less high-quality work. Highly recommended!

Excellent!!! I had a small budget and wanted my flowers to be beautiful. Other vendors didn't want to spend time with me or suggest ideas to compliment my wedding. But Rose spent time and had so many ideas - one better than the other. The final product was just BEAUTIFUL! Everyone was so impressed with my beautiful flowers and I have Designs by Rose to thank. They guided me and created such beautiful designs. They treated me like I was spending so much more. Delivery was perfect, set up was perfect, their total execution and professionalism amazed me. Rose and Doris were a pleasure to work with. From our very first communication via email, they were courteous, professional and flexible. I knew at our first meeting that they would be our choice thanks to their open and friendly personalities, Rose's exceptional ability to create a vision based on a few random words (a big thing since I know next to nothing about flowers) and their willingness to work with my budget. They're very quick to respond during the planning process and the centerpieces and bouquets were exactly as promised. Based on the quotes we received from other florists using the same description of centerpieces and bouquets before making the decision, we definitely got the most based on our budget with Designs by Rose.

I was amazed at how affordably Rose and Doris decorated our space - every other florist quote was at least 3x as much as we paid. We had a lot of pieces from them - 22 centerpieces (small), one large display in the front of the space, and one more in the back (the amazing "altar," which doubled as our name card table, then our cake table), my bouquet (GORGEOUS), 7 BM bouquets (yes, I know, an army), bouts for my DH and 6 groomsmen, plus 2 fathers, 4 corsages, a flower wreath and small bouquet for the Flower Girl, orchids for my hair... they did SO much for us. My only complaints are that the flower girl "halo" was much too chunky and heavy for my niece to wear, and they forgot to include my promised throw bouquet, but those are minor when compared to the rest of the flowers. They're a hilarious Italian family, and so warm-hearted and helpful. Communication with them was a breeze.

Rose and Doris provide terrific value and lots of personalized attention. They did a beautiful job at our wedding and worked very hard to make everything perfect. They gave us suggestions to keep costs contained but never compromised on style and quality. We highly recommend working with them - their business is a family affair and you'll be treated like you are one of the family.

I was very pleased with the floral arrangements for my wedding from Designs by Rose. I recieved so many complements on my flowers and centerpieces - Rose did a wonderful job. My flowers lasted al night. My bouquet is still in good shape. The centerpieces she created for my reception were breath taking. They were full, beautiful and exactly what I wanted. Designs By Rose was an excellent vendor. I book them early in my planning process and they were so helpful and flexible with my decision. They were willing to work within my budget, giving me the most for my money, unlike other floral vendors I had received quotes from. The day of the wedding they were early and everything was perfect! I received many compliments on my arrangements and the flowers lasted over a week.

Doris and Rose are a mother-daughter team who work out of the basement of their home in Queens. They do beautiful work at the most reasonable price that I could find, and they are like working with family. Doris handles the business side of things and is exceptionally fast at returning e-mails. I HIGHLY recommend them. They're amazing.

Everything was perfect. When I first booked Designs by Rose, I was worried that when I said I wanted all the flowers to be green they would just look at me funny. Instead, they took my tiny idea and turned it into something truly stunning. The bridesmaids' bouquets, the corsages, the kiss balls, the centerpieces - every bit was perfect. And I loved my bouquet!! It was so different and striking - so many people commented on it! The flowers were so pretty that even the men were talking about them! My father-in-law went on at great length about how much he loved everything and how beautiful it was. At the end of the night there was actually a rush of people claiming arrangements. Working with Doris and Rose was a pleasure, and I would recommend them highly to anyone.

My flowers were absolutely stunning without breaking the bank. Rose was so patient in helping me decide what was right for me, taking my dress, the venue, and other factors into consideration. Not only were my flowers the talk of the wedding (guests took home every centerpiece on their own will -- no silly contests!), but Rose and Doris are such nice, helpful people. I also ordered my invitations through them. They had a large selection and I'm very happy with that aspect of the service as well.

Doris and Rose were such a find!!! They were by far the most affordable, yet I felt like I didn't sacrifice anything in terms of quality. I was really pleasantly surprised about how nice the flowers were, considering that they were at least half the price of everyone else in NYC! And they are such a friendly, pleasant family to work with!
