Ryan was very easy going yet completely professional. We wanted a tasty but casual menu inspired by a fair/circus and Ryan delivered. He had some great ideas and we settled on a slider bar and a small plate station with chicken pot pie and a risotto cake. He also gave us grown up corn dogs and churros. Everyone loved the churros. Beyond the menu, Ryan offered helpful suggestions on timing and designs for the space. The staff was very polite and made sure that my husband and I got a late of everything to eat. Spoke with other caterers before choosing Dish and would definitely recommend Dish - value for your money.

As soon as I got engaged I knew that one of the biggest challenges was going to be finding the right caterer. We decided to do our wedding in New York City and after meeting with a few different caterers, I was disappointed at how inflexible and expensive they were. But then I met Bonnie and was surprised to learn that we were able to fully customize our menu and it was far less expensive then the other options I was looking at. My instinct told me that it was probably too good to be true - that somehow they were cutting corners - but this was absolutely not the case. Bonnie and her team were exceptional from start to finish. We had a blast picking out our menu and making it feel like "us" (I'm Brazilian, my husband is American but loves Spanish food and we incorporated all these elements in our food). And on our wedding day, everything flowed together flawlessly. I cannot recommend Dish enough!!

We had the most amazing wedding, courtesy of the food, drinks, and atmosphere provided by Dish at Studio 450. Bonnie and Ryan were amazing in helping us plan an innovative menu that truly showcased our wedding theme. They coordinated our rentals and liquor as well, and even offered to add some lighting, which truly made the loft venue shine. All of our guests RAVED about the signature cocktail, passed appetizers (they couldn't get enough of the chicken and waffle), and dinner (the pumpkin ravioli were incredible) -- as well as the dessert bar featuring a selection of sweets (carrot cake whoopie pies were outstanding) and cheeses. When we walked into the venue, it was clear that they had taken everything we had said in the planning meetings and executed it perfectly. Even their staff made the night perfect. We can't say enough, and would highly recommend them to anyone!

Ryan and his team did an amazing job on my Wedding. Ryan made the entire night run smoothly and really exceeded our expectations. The food was amazing and they also did our wedding cake and it was delicious!!!!!! Ryan was such a pleasure to work with and was there to answer any and all of my questions and concerns. We hired Dish for our wedding reception in June 2012. We wanted a cocktail party-style reception. Bonnie at Dish was very responsive to our questions and requests; she worked with us to find the right menu for our party, optimizing taste, variety, and price. At the reception, our guests raved about the food. The staff (1 chef, 3 servers, and 1 bartender) was friendly and professional and went out of their way to help us. When we arrived at the reception, we realized we forgot our ipod for the background music. Dish's chef, Jennifer Cole-Ruiz, kindly let us use her phone with Pandora radio to access Sinatra music. Choose Dish Food--it will make your wedding planning easier!

We had a wonderful experience working with DISH for our June 2012 wedding. We looked for two things when choosing a caterer 1) delicious and extraordinary food 2) well-coordinated and organized planning. DISH delivered on both points. Chef Jennifer’s food was amazing. She was able to take our ideas about food and what we liked and create inventive dishes. So many of our guests were just floored by how great the food was. It was also so easy to work with Ryan and Bonnie in the planning stages. We had signed with them a little bit late, so I was stressed about getting things done, but they knew what needed to be done and when and kept us on schedule and within our budget. I would highly recommend DISH to any engaged couples.

I met Ryan from Dish at a wedding expo back in Brooklyn and soon after my then-fiance and I went to meet with him about our upcoming wedding. We loved the fact that it was such a small, personal company, and that the owner himself took so much time to work with us directly. Ryan was very conscious of our budget and provided realistic suggestions as to what we could get for our price (i.e. short ribs rather than filet mignon). He listened to our suggestions and made a menu that truly reflected what we love, including appetizers, three entree choices and a dessert table in lieu of a wedding cake. Our guests even got prosecco or sparkling water when they arrived before the ceremony -- a nice touch that Ryan suggested himself. We also loved that Dish is truly a full-service catering, unlike a lot of the restaurant caterers we looked at. Overall, we were in good hands the day of our wedding: Every time I turned around, someone was there to refill my drink or hand me a napkin or get me whatever I needed -- and everyone loved the food!

DISH created an evening for us that was truly exquisite! If you're looking to cater your wedding, please do not look any further. Ryan and his staff went above and beyond our wildest expectations and provided our guests with truly memorable evening. Our guests have consistently commented on the first class service, attention to detail, delicious food, organization, seamless transitions, friendly and helpful staff, the gorgeous presentation, and of course -- the food! Everyone (and we had quite a variety of palates to please) could not stop talking about the food -- from the vegans to the meat lovers, everyone enjoyed every bite -- from the parsnip puree to the carrot cake whoopie pies ! The signature cocktail (which we included in addition to a full bar) was also a huge hit. We were able to create a menu with Ryan that combined our favorite flavors in a way that felt festive and appropriate for our 120 guests. Ryan and his talented team did such a wonderful job of honoring our desires while adding their own magic touch -- allowing for an unforgettable night. If we could give them a 10 out of 10, we would! From our first meeting to to our wedding night we were impressed with how at ease we felt in our dealings with DISH. Planning was fun and stress-free. Each and every person involved treated us and our guests with such respect. In addition, they worked with us to create an elegant, warm, and memorable event. Wow. Wow. Wow. I have to say, I'm not sure I've ever experienced better service than I did at our wedding. The staff was incredible -- attentive, warm, and efficient. First-class! Highly recommended. If you can dream it, DISH will create it -- seamlessly! That way, you can really take it all in (along with your guests) and fully experience the memorable moments that are being created at your event.

Bonnie and Ryan were great. They worked with us to figure out what we could do within our budget to get most of what we wanted. They picked staff for the day of that were friendly and attentive. They made sure to make plates for the groom and I so we didn't go hungry. The bartenders made strong cocktails and we had nothing but compliments from the guests on the food. The short ribs with polenta was a big hit. Dish Food is a small company but they know how to get the job done. They answered every question we had and really made us feel well taken care of. It was a pleasure to work with Dish Food & Events on the planning & catering of our wedding celebration! From helping us find the perfect venue, to choosing the decor, tables, rentals, etc., to creating an innovative & seasonal menu for our guests, everything was performed smoothly & to our specifications. I would highly recommend them for a wedding as well as any type of catered event.

I planned my wedding on a short timeframe and Dish proved that creating our menu in under two months could be done stress free. From our initial meeting to the day-of, they were professional and super helpful. Their waitstaff was like an army and several guests commented on how attentive (and good looking) the bartenders were! The food (go with the short ribs and pumpkin ravioli if you're planning a fall wedding) was even better than at the tasting and you couldn't get the quality and amount of food for a better price. Dish was more than a caterer, when needed, they acted like my 'day-of' planner. Love you Dish!

Everyone is still raving about the food--every single filet (plated meal) came out perfectly cooked (and I am incredibly picky when it comes to stuff like that). They also incorporated numerous seasonal items into the menu and throughout the event. My favorite thing about Dish Foods, however, is how far they went out of their way for me (and believe me, I had a few bizarre requests). Not only did they assist with those requests, they also had great recommendations to make my vision even better.

Ryan and Dish were a joy to work with. Listened to our ideas and really made them work for our wedding--we wanted a family style pasta and a plated entree and he made it work flawlessly. The food was not only beautiful but tasted great and we got many compliments from our guests that it was not the "typical" wedding food. Working with Dish was stress-free.

Ryan is truly excellent at his job. We had no idea we'd be working with such a thorough, thoughtful, knowledgable, and professional person. We were delighted by everything Dish did--from Matt's dessert ensemble, to the service, to the set up and dinner. The bartenders were great. Everything turned out even better than we imagined.

I honestly cannot imagine finding a catering service that suited our wedding and tastes more than Ryan and Dish. From the get go, they were open and flexible to every idea we had and helped us to craft a fully customized dream menu. They are incredibly professional and organized and the helped us to build a vision for not only the food, but the set up and complete flow of the wedding. Also, things were definitely a little hectic in the set up process (on our end, not theirs) and Ryan and the Dish team were unbelievably calm and helpful. Also, the servers were outstanding and super friendly. I cannot recommend Dish highly enough!

Ryan and his team did a great job with the catering for my May wedding! From the start, I was really impressed by Ryan's professionalism and organization. On top of that, he let us customize our menu 100%, and it was really fun to brainstorm our favorite foods and work with him to integrate them into a cohesive menu. We're pretty into food and everything Ryan made was delicious. On top of that, the cake that Matt made us was to die for (carrot cake with fondant). Finally, the Dish staff made sure my champagne glass was never empty all night! Highly recommend.
